Since the topic was closed, starting a new one. After a few other Sonos S1 updates I signed up this morning for another month of Amazon unlimited -- and weird problems immediately (upon signing up) returned. In mid-flight of playing a playlist I received the message below. Couple of other interesting observations:1. On my Ipad controller I can turn off compression of music -- did that (that option doesn’t seem to exist on my Windows 10 controller...). Seemed to help. Also on the Ipad controller but not the Windows controller is an option to Pair Airplay devices with the others; it was set as OFF, I turned it ON (I have one Airplay device).2. I now get sort of random messages like the one above, where in mid-flight the message pops up and the next song starts… Very strange. I now have many messages in the Error log: Sunday, October 16, 2022 - 8:28 AM Central Time; Unable to play 'Duet for Flute and Clarinet, Op. 46 No. 1: I. Allegro' - the song is not encoded correctly. I want to remove my paired Ones from my TV room (Sub & PlayBase). When my Fives arrive I want to add them to my TV room along with the existing Sub & PlayBase for my 5.1 setup. I’m going to use the Ones in the garage (replacing my paired Play1’s. I’ll find a new home for the Play1’s. Will I be able to remove the Ones from tv room without unpairing them? Or will each Ones have to start all over as a new install on S2 app? Will I lose anything from the app once I remove power to the Ones or Play1s? I know once I have them in the garage I will have to use TruePlay to fine tune them again. I’m sure I’ll be able to get the Fives paired with the TV room Sub and PlayBase. 

Hi, I am trying to connect Arc to Vizio tv and it is just stuck. I tried different cable. Another eARC connected devices (bose 900 and older samsung soundbar)  works without problems.  

We have two homes with Sonos equipment.  The S2 update, as many of you have noted, has caused issues where we no longer have a functioning solution.  We think we understand what needs to happen.  We need to downgrade some components that accidently got upgraded and then make sure we have an S1 controller.  When we get into the app to start the process, we get in this endless loop of downgrading and then requests to upgrade. We can’t find the process after many attempts. Is there a step by step instruction of what to hit to get through  the process so that we have our system back? 

Evening all, was gifted a fairly new (but technically 2nd user) Amp a week or two back but what I thought would be the normal straightforward set up is proving be anything but.Device powers up, is connected on an RG45 to an older Amp Connect port.The app sometimes finds it but never completes the connection and comes back with an ! and ‘power down and try again’It does not always make a connection, it seems inconsistent. If you swap the RJ45 connection during the device search, it will flash up that ‘Sonos Amp’ found but does not complete the connection.On one ocassion, the app made a statement to the effect that there was network problem and was trying to connect direct from the mobile. That did not complete either.It is possible of course (not being out of the box new) that there is a hard fault or that a previous config is hampering progress.I wondered if there was a hard reset procedure that might clear any config question marks. or if there is a different testing procedure that mi

okay folks… a bit of a mystery for me.I have a Sony turntable connected to my Play 5. It worked perfectly for a year, but now there is no sound coming from the speaker. I haven’t changed any physical connections at all, however I did change my wifi router near the time this became an issue. But that shouldn’t make a difference I wouldn’t have thought… after all, my turntable is wired to the Play 5. Now there was a period of a couple of weeks where everything was working fine, but now the sound has disappeared again. Of more curiousness, I have just grouped my Play 5 to my Move… and when I play my turntable, there is no sound coming from the Play 5 but there is from the Move… so the signal is getting into the Play 5, but then nothing. When I play digital music, the Play 5 works perfectly fine.  Bit of a mystery to me, any ideas? Hi,I’m looking for some help.I’ve recently just upgraded my setup to a new LG OLED55CS6LA OLED TV, my Sonos Beam is connected to HDMI 2 (the ARC port) and for the first few days worked without any issues.Starting last night - the Beam would just randomly disconnect and revert back to the TV Speaker completely randomly.  I have tired resetting both the Beam and the TV to factory settings, using a different HDMI cable but it is still dropping out randomly. Less frequently than last night but the issue is still there. It’s intermittent and difficult to replicate without watching the TV for a while.  Is there any known compatibility issues with LG TV’s? My Samsung never had any problems, I have emailed LG for support but just seems strange as it’s a brand new TV.When it dropped out last night these were the messages I got on the Sonos App below. Tonight- I’ve worked out if I reboot just the TV it fixes it. Until it happens again!!  

All of a sudden my old Playbar has stopped working with DTS encoded Blu-rays. It works fine with Dolby encoded discs and standard TV/streaming outputs but for DTS discs all I get is silence. It has worked perfectly well for years and I haven't changed any settings because I'm on the S1 app. As a test I disconnected the Playbar and everything works fine through the internal TV speakers. I'd be grateful for any suggestions that might help resolve this.

This week’s issue.I have lost the ability to play any internet radio, playlists, etc., on Sonos Radio, Amazon Music, radioPup, SiriusXM, or TuneIn.I can browse, but when I select, depending on the service, I get an “Unable to add music to the queue” message, an “Unable to play the selected item” message, or, in the case of Sonos Radio, nothing happens.I have unplugged all my speakers, rebooted the router, and rebooted the speakers.Diagnostic 1859730827

Hi , i’d like to know please when trueplay will be supported on ipad pro 12.9 5th gen latest iOS 15.6? I used my old ipad (no longer have) for trueplay setup on multiple Sonos products i own e.g. arc/playbar/subs/ones etc. just updated all to firmware 14.12 and now need to redo trueplay - the sonos app just confirmed that trueplay not supported and i’m now stuck. I would appreciate letting me know. I have already looked at the usual sonos help pages. thanks.

I need help adding my Play5 back onto my S-1 controller.  I have a play 1 ; play 3; one; and a move all connected and working fine.  Up until a few days ago, my play 5 was also connected.  I finally did a reset on the speaker and when I try to add this back in, there is a message that I need to update the controller.  Last time I did this I ended up with S-2 and nothing worked.  My S-1 app is running Version 11.5.  My devices are all ver 11.4.  I don’t know what the play 5 was running.  Help, any suggestions?

I want to change out the screws that mount the beam to its mount with longer cap screws so I may unscrew them with my fingers (and my old eyes can see them, too). What size screw do I need to get to replace the originals?  Thanks.

Dear Sonos, I have just spent an entire day downgrading all my speakers back to the S1 App because one of my son’s friends attempted to play music with the S2 App. How can you allow someone to upgrade my entire system WITHOUT my permission and render it completely 🤬 useless??!!!!!

When will boomplay be included in Sonos?

Hi, I have two play 1 speakers I use in stereo and use Spotify. However I have came across tidal hifi service and have used this recently. I paying for hifi which I believe is cd quality. I use the tidal app directly to play onto Sonos. Will my old speakers support cd quality? Thanks

Please enable Google casting - in particular for YTmusic.The Sonos app is not good enough for this - most features from the YTmusic-app are missing. 

Hi,I have set up my Sonos Arc and set up ran smoothly, however when I switch TV or Music off, the Sonos Ark disappear of the app and I need to reboot the ARC to be visible on the APP again, if TV or music is on it seems fine only when we switch TV off and switch on later does it disappear. Please advise if someone has similar problem and how to resolve. Thank you  

I had this happen to me - others have complained about the same thing. I do not have Spotify so it is definitely a Sonos issue. It was very annoying that it started playing randomly at night, when my laptop was totally closed.

I am renovating my forever home and will have one room for the kitchen, dining area and living room. It is 20 x 28 feet inside. The end with the kitchen cabinets, a large island and the dining table is not a good place for the regular speakers with no good place to set them. I had hoped to install a couple ceiling speakers using an Amp to power them. I would also like to use a couple ceiling speakers in the living room (the opposite half of the space) and would like to power them all with one Amp. Is it possible to both adjust the volume of these two sets of speakers separately, as well as adjust the balance on each set?If there is any way possible to do this please let me know. If there is an alternate way to set them up still allowing the use of the S2 app to control them, it would be ideal. I am wondering if I could use something separate to achieve what I am trying to do as well.Trying to not buy two Amps to achieve this. I would otherwise likely use one Amp in the kitchen/dining e

I’m looking for some advice.  I have a turntable connecting (line-in) to a Sonos Five.  Now I want to add other speakers (Beam, Symfonisk) to the room. However, I don’t see any options in the app to add any further speakers.  Is there a trick to adding my other speakers?

Lately I’ve been having issues when I use AirPlay2 on my Move with Play1’s. I have my paired Play1’s in the garage and when I bring Move to the garage to play alongside my Play1’s they play together fine until I sync AirPlay2 to the Move. Music will play on Move/Play1’s for a little while and then the Move will drop out or the Play1’s will drop out for 10+seconds and come back on or both will drop out. Sometimes one or the other will drop indefinitely. I have to go through my Sonos2 app to retry connecting AirPlay2 back to Move. I’ve tried changing my Boost setting 1/6/11 and still does the same thing. This gets annoying so I’ll go back to playing Spotify or music library. I haven’t done a diagnostic check yet. Thanks.

Like many other users it seems that when I choose to shuffle my large Amazon Music playlist I get a tiny percentage of tedious that state with numerals, a, or b.  I've seen responses that say to add your track to individual playlist, and then merge those playlists into one large playlist, but that is a horrible solution. You have to choose each track individually. I have thousands upon thousands of tracks in my library and that would take hours in the process would have to be repeated every time you add more music to your Amazon library.Is there a real solution forthcoming for this issue? It doesn't seem to be just Amazon music, every provider seems to be prevented from shuffling, the playlist and a reasonable way.I've yet to see a comment from Sonos that explains how they're going to resolve this issue and when. Is there any help out there?Thanks,-Shannon        

Hello, My Sonos Connect lost all of a sudden its sound, and only when I turn the Connect & the speaker both to max can I hear a very silent sound. I tried unplugging, rebooting, reseting the system, changing cables, different speakers - the problem remained. What can be the issue? Shall I just say goodbye to the item? :'( Thanks, Bence

I recently purchased a Sonos Ray soundbar and when i am in my conservatory where I have a Sonos 1 when i look at the app it always goes to the soundbar and on most occasions does not see the Sonos 1 until i use my phone to access the app - any suggestions?
