Hello,I have 2 play 1s, a play 3, a move, and an arc connected to my system currently and can't for the life of me get my Gen 3 Sub added. Router is an Asus Zenwifi It "connects" and then sits at the connecting to wifi screen for a while then says it's added to the system but may not show up and to cycle the power if it isn't showing to complete the setup.Well I've done that and it's nowhere to be found. I have tried factory resets and repeating the process to no avail. Rebooting the router doesn't seem to do anything either.. "Find missing products" says it seems that all devices are available...I have also tried connecting an ethernet cable between the sub and router and completing setup this way but the sub doesn't even get discovered when I do this??Getting a little frustrated and looking for any ideas you have. 

Hello. I have multiple sets of Sonos speakers and want to connect one set to my Beam for a simple home theater. I can play music through any combo I like, but when I try to add surrounds to the Beam, they aren’t recognized. Help please?

I am trying to connect my new Sonos one with limited success. I have the new sonos app and have followed the instructions to setting up my speaker countless times, but run into roadblocks when it can’t find my system or connect to my wife, even after my phone hears the chimes it plays but then my app cannot find the system. I have rebooted, company reseted and reseted the app multiple times as well but can’t make any progress.

I have an Optoma UHZ50 Projector and I just realized it has an HDMI ARC port (HDMI 1). I plugged the Apple TV into HDMI 2, and ran a new HDMI cable (this one from Amazon) from HDMI 1 (HDMI ARC) to the Sonos Amp, and there is no audio coming through. I made sure the Optoma “Audio Mode” is set to the “SPDIF/eARC” option, and I did the “TV Setup” on the Sonos app for the Amp and it says it was successful / “done” - but there’s no audio. Is there some other setting I could be missing on the Sonos?  In the Apple TV there’s an option to select a “temporary audio source” and when I do, I can select “Living Room” which is the name of my Sonos room, but I have a feeling that’s sending the audio via Bluetooth or something, because when I switch to the Fire TV it doesn’t work at all, and I don’t think the device should be selecting the audio output source - the projector should just be outputting the audio directly via the HDMI ARC, right? Am I missing something obvious here?

I am looking into buying a few sonos speakers (because they do not need to be hardwired to my record player).  I have an amp and a record player (it is not bluetooth) that I would like to continue to use but Im having a hard time figuring out what adapter I need. Is this a possible set-up?

I recently installed a Sonos Arc + Sub + Amp → 2x Sonance Architectural in-wall speakers for my rears.The technicians needed to plug the Arc in the eArc port of my TV, ethernet from the Arc to my Amp, and ethernet from my Amp to my router for setup. They said that this is now necessary for new Amps only, and that older same model Amps could connect wirelessly for this type of setup without ethernet.It’s not an issue for me now, but could be if I decide to move my router elsewhere, and not run ethernet cabling throughout my house.My question is: why do new Amps have this ethernet connectivity limitation while older models of the same device do not?

Hi Sonos world I have a Sonos one and a Sonos Beami don’t use the app very often, maybe to tweak the sound but usually I use Alexa on the “one” to access music.everything has been fine for years, until..several weeks ago I used the app to change a setting on the Beam and noticed it wasn’t showing in the app. I closed the app, re opened it and boom!there it is, except now the “one” isn’t showing in the app So I turned off both products and turned them back on and still only one shows on the app at anyone time. The app is upto date and trying to add a new product doesn’t work. ti get the ‘one” to appear I have to turn off the beam and reboot the appanyone had this or can offer a solution ? Thank you 

I have a Sonos Beam Gen1 currently connected to an older Rocketfish RF-G1185 outputting to an even older (2004?) 1080i Panasonic plasma TV (TH-50PX50U - that still works great) that only has one HDMI input and zero HDMI output.  I have the Beam connected to the Panasonic via it’s optical TOSLINK to HDMI cable. Problem is all audio is coming into Beam always shows Stereo PCM. First question: Is there any benefit to trying to feed Dolby 5.1 (or Dolby Digital) without surrounds or a sub? If not, I'll stop my quest right here. If not...My primary device is an Xfinity X1 DVR and when I set it to Dolby 5.1 output using its optical out and connect directly to Beam the Beam shows Dolby 5.1 format in. However, the audio out of Beam does not sound any better, in fact it is much softer and quieter.I also have an older generation (2 or 3?) Apple TV and Xbox connected to the Rocketfish via HDMI and when using those devices Beam still shows Stereo PCM and never Dolby 5.1. When I set the Xfinity X1 H

I honestly do not understand what is wrong with my Roam. I have a pair of Play 1 speakers and a Connect:Amp, and none of them have the problems that the Roam has. The Roam is constantly falling off of the network. It disappears for weeks at a time, then returns and says it is off-line. How does the system know it’s there if it’s offline? A power cycle on the Roam and a reboot of the router help briefly, but then the problem returns -- the Roam has roamed away somewhere. I get that 2.4 GHz signal interruption and constrained bandwidth may cause connectivity glitches, but neither the Play speakers nor the Connect Amp have a problem adjusting to this. I have moved the Roam to the same room as the router, and it doesn't help. Also, I have not changed any router settings. It is seriously frustrating and infuriating to be forced to diagnose this problem every time I want to use the Roam. Other Sonos products just work, and work well, which is one reason I opted for the Roam as my third Sonos

Why does the Sonos Beam 2 not come with a remote control?

Hi FolksI have a two year old Gen 3 Sub connected to Arc and Two Sonos 1 surrounds in my lounge.  The Gub has started to emit a cracking/electric noise intermittently.  It also sounds like running water - it’s the most bizarre noise.  I have rebooted, disconnected, etc, etc.   I can see others appear to have similar issues.  I’ve tried the Sonos virtual assistant but that was just infuriating.  I intend to call Sonos next week, but would value any advice.  Thank you, Mike.

Hi, I've had a beam for a couple of years set up with 2 ones. I've recently upgraded to gen 2 and have paired that with the ones but I'd like to put my original beam into another room...can I add it to my system? The app can't find it at present, although it is working as a speaker.

I’m trying to get my Recently Played list to populate and it keeps telling me to turn on data sharing. I’m happy to share my data - we’re all being tracked already anyway, right? - but no matter how many times I go to Data & Privacy > Additional usage data > Turn usage data sharing onThe option does not hold and immediately turns it off.When I then go to Data & Privacy > Use Personalization Services > and try to make this “Enabled” it does nothing and stays as “Disabled”. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the iOS app, signed out and back in, reset the entire system, and still can’t get this to work. Sonos, I’m begging you to take my data! How can I get this to work to unlock the Recently Played section and other features?

My issue is that I randomly get playback drop outs and the error log says ‘Unable to connect to Sonos product.’ The playback usually comes back and the next song in the playlist plays.It’s been doing it to me for a lover a year and it just did it again to me tonight.I’m currently running the following:Sonos OS: S1Version: 11.6.1 (build 571334140)Hardware Version: 1.1.16.4-2.0I’ve seen instances of this query before and the replies have always been centered around Wi-Fi. I’m not convinced as I get the same problems and I’m not running any Wi-Fi for my Sonos, which uses ZP90’s into Hi-Fi units.I am using a wired network of Netgear Pro Gig switches, Cat5 cabling and the NAS is a Dell 720 server (running Debian Linux 10.x) which it’s absolutely rock solid for everything else on my network.Note: I’m a network/computer professional with 30+ years in the game. 

I’m finishing up my 3,000sq ft shop/garage. I put in 5 pairs of in-ceiling speakers and a pair of sonance mariners outside.The shop is completely open, so I purchased 6 amps as I wanted to rock the place if necessary.My goal is/was to have the 5 amps powering the inside speakers all grouped together and essentially never ungroup them. I put up a Sony X95k and connected eArc hdmi to the first amp, and everything is working exactly how I envisioned other than volume control.  While watching TV, the TV remote control only controls the volume on the first amp. To move all volumes in unison I have to use the app.  When listening to music it’s perfect because I’m using the app anyways and it controls all the volume, but I’d like to be able to not have my phone on me and pick up the TV remote and control all amp volumes in unison.Is this by design or should I be setting up the amps differently? Each amp was set up as independent stereo pair and then I grouped the 5 interior ones together.  

Has anyone had any luck with this?  Everything works as it should except the alexa functionality.

I have an existing S1 system with Play1 Speakers, Boost, Amps , etc….All these devices work from any existing device that had the S1 App installed for many many years…. such as IOS iphones and Mac Desktops….I recently purchased an Beam S2 , used my NEW Iphone to install the APP from app store….Now, since ALL my music and most other Speakers are on S1 … downloaded the S1 APP from the app store, the PROBLEM IS :When trying to connect to existing System (which it is), it can’t find it….I’ve reset the Speaker (one of them) and still NO GO. But all other access from other devices such as my MAC desktop or another IOS iphone device , I can see and play the music.What the heck is going on?  I thought S2 and S1 can co-exist in peace. The only difference is that my NEW PHONE has both apps on it S1 and S2.S2 was used to connect the BEAM to configure it and be used by the TV …  That works fine. Any HELP would be appreciated.

When I say “hey google” on my Sonos Arc, it is not aware of the timers I set on other Google Home/Home Mini devices (even though the Google devices themselves are aware of timers you set on others).  There isn’t an issue with linking accounts. I am surprised.  I also noticed commands like “hey Google turn off the TV” which normally works on a Google Home Mini responds with an error on Sonos (oddly enough I can do most other things via Sonos Google Assistant like turning lights on/off). 

I’ve been on Sonos for about 5-6 years, mostly using Spotify. Six months ago I started Qobuz and recently every song I play is fine for up to 30 seconds then it skips to the next track. On every track I play.I’ve rebooted the router, unplugged my Sonos 5, and temporarily removed my Sonos Move. Nothing has worked. Can someone please help me?

Hi i know nothing about audio equipment! I bought a Beam gen 2 from Costco and a used Sonos play 1. I didn’t realize it was not a Sonos One until after I bought it.  I’m trying to set up the beam and the play one with my TV but it doesn’t sound that good together. The bear sounds great alone but I was hoping adding a speaker behind where I’m sitting would help sound even better.  Help! What am doing wrong? 

Recently purchased a Sonos Beam, and it works great, with the one exception. I have the Beam plugged into the ARC HDMI of my Toshiba TV with Amazon Fire Built In. I didn’t notice it at first, but now I have to go into the settings of my TV and restart the TV after turning it on (I guess in computer terms, waking it from sleep) before the Beam will connect with the ARC output. Unplugging the HDMI, and/or Power Cord from the Beam with no luck. My current setup is the Beam plugged into the HDMI ARC, and an Apple TV (CEC is on with it) and a PlayStation 4 (CEC is off on this device), plus the Firestick built in. I would think CEC might have issues from reading other support forums, but on the flip side of that coin, I don’t think it would work with a restart if CEC was the issue. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have an arc and 2 ones as surround, when I toggle off the 2 ones in surround audio, both have a slow flashing green light, I would like to turn this off, is that possible? 

Absolutely ridiculous at this point.  I have not been able to use Sonos twice in a row without having to go through the malarkey of unplugging everything, including my router to use this stupid system.  I used to recommend your products frequently, due to ease of use.  How ironic I now intend to start shopping for a new system because of the difficulty of use.
