5.1 System Comprising off Beam Gen 1, Sub Gen 2 and 2 x Play 1 Very Recently when playing music or listening to radio my 5.1 system is dropping out intermittently. (never happened before).When source is TV, No drop outs.All units are running on OS S2, Release 14.18, Only using Wi Fi.If i turn off the sub and surrounds and only have the Beam Active i have no drop outs.When playing music or listening to radio on other speakers such as Sonos One (gen 1) either as single unit or stereo pairs i have no drop outs.Is there any recent issues with Surround Sound Systems related to Firmware Updates been reported ?

I recently bought 6 Sonos One SL speakers. I have the v2 app on an ipad. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the sound quality. However, I have an issue with group volume control. If I significantly increase volume for the living room speakers using the slider, after a minute or two if I look at the volume sliders I find that the living room volume will have lowered back to where the other speakers were. Why don’t they keep their setting? Any ideas?

Every time I open Sonos 1 app it won't connect. I have a Play 1, a Play 5 and a TV Playbar with 2 Play 1’s linked for surround sound. If I restart the device I've opened the app on (IPhone or IPad) then it will connect. If I go back to the app later it won't find anything, even though music is playing, and I have to restart the device again. Really frustrating. Any advice?

Hi guys, I have recently purchased a Sony A95K O-LED tv and have been looking at sound bars. The best value for money it seems is the Sony HTZF9 which minimal problems it seems. Now I have been looking to get the Sonos Arc, has anyone had any experience in pairing the Arc with the Sony tv? Is it worthwhile? Any problems? Can I still utilise the 5:1 surround via the bar and the tv, and is it compatible? Thanks guys.

Diagnostic 1602233776All of my Spotify artwork accessed from Sonos Playlists are distorted, or pixelated. When I browse and search for the same album that same album artwork looks fine, then that album artwork on my Sonos Playlists fixes itself. It’s almost like the Spotify Album artwork cached itself using much smaller images. Then when I access those albums manually it corrects itself. I have thousands of Spotify songs on Sonos Playlists so searching for every one is not reasonable. I have rebooted all my Sonos speakers, reauthorized my Spotify account and even removed the Spotify account then re-added it, but nothing has worked. Please help. Any ideas?

Album artwork pixelates on Sonos App when I enable Shuffle on a Spotify playlist. This does not happen on a Apple Music playlist.Very odd. There are over 1400 songs on the playlist. Tested on 100 song Spotify playlist on Shuffle. Same pixelated problem happens. Help please…

I have a Gen 1 Play 5, Play 1, Boost and Connect.  I know all about the disappearing “on this iphone” from a couple years ago and haven’t used my system much since.  However, I saw the Port and was wondering if I can use that to replace my connect, run it with S1, and use AirPlay 2 to play music to the rest of my speakers?  Essentially, a work around to make it work like before?  I tried searching but didn’t find much.

I use my TV mostly for Dolby Vision & Atmos content and Music streaming which the Beam tends to look after itself. However the PS5 gives me too many options for my small brain, any advice would be greatly appreciated.Currently set to AV Amplifier / Linear PCM / 7.1 and is appearing as such on Sonos app.

I have now tried three times this week to order a Sub Mini to go with my Sonos Beam, and each time my order has been cancelled by the Sonos website.I contacted sales support and they say that their system faced an integration error that cancelled customer orders in bulk?Anybody else struggling with orders on the Sonos website?

Hi. I’m thinking of getting the new sub mini for a room that has a Playbase and two Sonos Ones? Is this a good match for the sub? I think the Playbase already has a sub in it. So maybe I do t need the sub mini? This is for tv and music, Does anyone have any insight? thank you!

Hi,I am new to the whole audio surround system and I have a question. If I have the Sonos-Ray Soundbar along with a few Sonos-One G2 speakers can I play music on the Soundbar along with my Sonos-One speakers or is the soundbar only able to play sound from the TV? Would I be able to use the soundbar as an extra speaker when I’m playing Spotify?

So I first apologize because I know this topic has been asked repeatedly, but this time it’s a little different…… Is it possible to get Atmos quality sound if the speakers were positioned closer to the ceiling?  In my living room we have 20 foot ceilings (not vaulted), but we also have a ledge that goes up about 12 feet.  I wasn’t sure if being higher would help reduce the distance for the up-firing speakers?  Thoughts?  Or does anyone have suggestions for another sound system at that would be a better fit for my room type?  Oh we also have a Sony TV with the acoustic surface so the sound projects directly from the screen. Not sure if that would help with choosing a sound system. 

Hi. Brand new to the Forum. I’m hoping someone can help with my issue.  I have a Sonos system (Arc, Sib and Ones) I want to be able to use either with a Samsung OLED TV (current) and a Sony 4K projector (not yet connected).  I’ve looked at various matrix switchers but am uncertain about which one to buy.  One that I saw in a video needs to connect using digital optical, so I’d lose Dolby Atmos, which I don’t want to do.  There seem also to be sync issues.  Doers anyone have any suggestions? Would be very grateful.  BTW, I also have an Onkyo TX-NR676E which I haven’t used since I bought the Sonos system.  It has an ARC HDMI Output, but I can’t figure out if that could satisfactorily function as a switcher or if it would just open up further issues 

I have 5 Sonos speakers. I simply restarted my router and now all my speakers are gone. Can Sonos explain this and not blame the user, ISP or router manufacturer. Rather than spend half an hour reconnecting all of them many that are physically out of reach can Sonos explain their incredibly poor performance? If there’s a technical bypass please let me know. Otherwise I tell every person to run from this brand for there technical ineptitude and lack of reliability.  so tired of going thru this process every time the router gets reset 

Hi, I have Apple TV with AirPlay but cannot get it to connect to Sonos Roam via bluetooth - constantly says PIN is incorrect; style of PIN on bottom of speaker is NNN-NN-NNN. Any ideas why this won’t work?Also about to get Chromecast with Google TV (latest version); can this use Sonos Roam or One speakers as audio output?Thank’s in advance :-) 

My content (movies, TV shows etc.) is on a wired network and my wifi is on another network.  If I buy the surrounds or the sub (I have a Beam Gen 2 coming), will this setup work properly so I can get the full experience of the Sonos system?  BTW, I have a Samsung Smart TV with ATMOS that will be served through the eARC port on the TV and my Android phone will be on the same network as the Sonos speakers.

My Sonos Roam is 14 months old and has stopped charging and functioning completely. When sat on the wireless charger no lights turn on. When plugged in to USB-C the orange light comes on, but nothing works. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps (factory reset, charging overnight). According to the support line my only option is to get a 30% off coupon code and buy a new one. Any experience with this. 

Sonos Connect - there is no light. After being unplugged/plugged back in, white light comes on for about 3 seconds and then goes away. Tried to reboot it many times - reset it few times by pressing mute and + button and plugging it to power source at teh same time but it does not do anything  What's the problem - can anyone guide? 

 I rested my devices to factory setting now i can’t recreate a new system. The connection doesn’t go pass the accessory settings connect to wifi - something occurred, try again, and nothing changes.Diagnostic 1490802247

Okay fine, Sonos devices only work on ONE very specific type of network that exists primarily in North America and in the Sonos test lab.  Okay I accept that.  I’m not using exactly that type of network configuration, so even though EVERYTHING works on my network except Sonos devices, I accept that my network is the problem. Surely, then, Sonos has a detailed technical spec sheet somewhere explaining to me EXACTLY how to configure my wireless network such that it will work with Sonos devices.  Someone please point that to me.  Oh and by the way, all my Sonos devices used to work until recent FORCED updates broke them, but okay it’s my network’s fault.I want an RFC white paper detailing exactly what type of network Sonos products are compatible with.  Not only the standards but also the configurations.  Channels, frequencies, SSID names, password length and complexity, number of mesh routers, power line network extenders, everything.  Point me to these detailed white papers so I can beg

Hi guys, I own a Sonos arc from 1 year. Biggest disappointment for me was not to be able to listen the audio from my ps5 in pcm because for some reason it doesn’t work, and the audio sounds so bad and low volume, and I had to switch to Dolby to have a nice sounds. Is this still a issue today 22 October 2022? It’s the problem my LG C1 OLED ? Or is the arc? Do you have the same experience with other tv brand?Thanks.

Accoring to my system overview the Sub is gen2. But the production date on the serial number is 1503. So how to tell if it is gen1 or gen2? Also the ring around the middle is more silver and also the Sonos letters are more silver. When I look at gen2 these are more black.

Hi,I’m remodeling my house and most of it is down to the studs.  I’m looking to do Sonos for the house, I was planning on doing in ceiling speakers in family room, kitchen, mater bath.  The Sonos in ceilings are too expensive so I was going to do dumb in ceiling speakers to Sonos Amps.  We entertain a lot so I want to be able to have music on in the living room, kitchen, family room and backyard, but I want to be able to control which is on when and sound levels to each speaker set.Can you pls advise on what I’m thinking?Family room w large tv (this will be the “media room”: I was thinking sound bar and in ceiling dumb speakers.  Can I connect the Arc to dumb in ceiling speakers?  do I need an Amp for that?  will there be any audio lag?I think the Arc surround package might be a better way to go, esthetically, I’m not keen on having exposed speakers in the corners of the room.Living room w Samsung Frame 55”This will be the room I’m sure I’ll have to watch weekend sports while the kids

The Sonos App does not get updated when I  update the playlist on my youtube music. I am not sure what is the issue ? At least the application should provide a provision to resync from the streaming service( at least I should be able to find it) . This is so frustrating.
