i have a lg c2 television a arc,sub, and 2 ones for surround.

can I only get atmos from the television apps?
as there is only one earc port on tv and Sonos arc, I take it I can’t get atmos from Apple TV etc without some kind of splitter?

No, the eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) port is used to transmit audio back to the soundbar.  The other HDMI ports can be used as inputs, with the audio output going back to the Sonos soundbar via the eARC port.  There is no need to have an eARC port as input.

You can get Dolby Atmos audio from the TV’s native apps AND the Apple TV 4K. Keep the Arc connected to the TV’s HDMI ARC/eARC port and connect the Apple TV to any of the other HDMI ports on the TV. Then set your TV and Apple TV to these settings:

LG Settings:

HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream

Digital Sound Output: Pass Through

eARC Support: On

Apple TV 4K Settings:

Change Format: OFF

Dolby Atmos: ON
