Hi All -  I know this question has been asked before, but my searches aren’t leading me in the right direction. Called customer support today and think I was mislead.  I have two extra play 1 speakers I’d like to set up at our second home (vacation rental when we aren’t there). I’d like guests to be able to use it also.  I was told I could create another account under my existing Sonos (I have the S2 app). When I tried to open my app, I couldn’t add any network since I was not on my home wifi.  How exactly do I set this up? Am I wrong to think guests will be able to find my Sonos speakers if they log in their account, but under the same WiFi? how do I set these two play 1 speakers up?

Our Sonos is connected to the TV via IR cable. When we turn on the sound to the whole system it starts cutting out and gets choppy. When it is just the sound bar there is no issue. Ive replaced the IR cable, reset the Sonos, and reset the actual soundbar. 

Hi,I'm trying to add a Sonos Boost to my existing environment.We currently have 3 Sonos Play:5 speakers connected to our local Wi-Fi network.I want the speakers to use the SonosNet Wi-Fi network instead of our local Wi-Fi.I added the Sonos Boost via network cable to our router.It boots up and after a minute it flashes green.In the Sonos (S2) App on my iPhone I click ‘add product’ but the app doesn’t find the Boost.The Play:5 speakers are already connected in the Sonos App.When I run a network scan of my network I can find the IP-address of the Boost so it should be connected.I'm trying to find out what i'm doing wrong.Any suggestions? Cheers

Hello. I sent a diagnostics in…here is my number 394392238. What is happening is that I can play TuneIn with no issues on my sonos system. When I try to play a playlist off Apple Music (or Amazon music) it will play on one speaker but not all or it will cut in and out on various speakers. Usually, it will play on one speaker and not the rest. Very frustrating!! 

I recently had to change one of the drives on my NAS and ever since my Sonos app on my iPhone and Windows 11 laptop return access denied error messages when trying to run music from my iTunes library. Any ideas?

My Sonos 1 has been unstable since my internet modem has recently changed to a pure fibre wifi hub.  Very often I can’t access music folder, no Sonos Radio, cannot find Sonos 1 error.  I have unplugged hub, turned Sonos on/off, restarting computer each time one of these errors occurred. I have removed and added music folder a few times to get music folder worked until tonight I am seeing this error message “Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Connection is blocked by your computer firewall options.” I checked firewall and Sonos is in enabled to received incoming connections. Restarted computer [imac] a few times and the error persists. Has this got to do with the IP address since the new hub. Any solution or do I have to call tech support? 

I understand that the Sonos Sub is currently having bass issue when Trueplay is enabled, can we confirm if this issue is known to be on all setups like a stereo pair of Ones/SL, Play:5s/Fives, with a Sub or just on TV setups in a 5.1 with the current sound bars and also with older units like the Playbase in a 5.1 setup?

Hey there,My beam is not visible from the android app, but it’s still working, if using the TV the audio comes from it, and if I use the Mac app or group it via the Sonos voice assistant, it connects and plays music.I have unplugged the beam both from the TV and power, but I still have the same issue. I’ve also restarted my phone and nothing.any ideas?

I have the gen3 sub and the Arc set up on S2 for theatre. Sounds great!  how hard is it to set up a separate setup on S1 to run all my older non compatible speakers for music only?  3 play 11 play 3 1 play 51 sound bar  

Does anyone know what the new dots in the System tab signify? There is nothing mentioned in the release notes.

(2.gen) i have the Google Home setup using the samme Google account on all system (Spotify, Google Home and sonos) when i try to add Google assistent as a 3. party voice assisent sonos redirect me to a sonos help page in stead of a configuration page?! I have tried to uninstall and reinstall All apps

Just bought the Sub Mini to complete my Beam 2/2xOne home cinema and when I try to connect them to the rest of the system the app keeps saying it can't be done because there is a new update app available but it's not on the play store so I need to wait. Please tell me this is some sort of joke. Who on earth disables important features of an app before the update is available. Is this the type of thing I can expect from Sonos? I'm not best pleased I'm sat here after having spent hundreds of pounds on this sub and can't even use it.

Hi @Corry P,I've just noticed that the issue discussed in the thread below has been solved. I don't know exactly when, as I was travelling these last weeks.But, the fix seems to have generated another bug:Now it's the opposite: when playing a non-Atmos song after an Atmos one, the volume becomes very much louder. If you pause this loud song and then resumes playing it, the volume returns to its normal level. Additionally, in general, all songs appear to play in a lower volume than before. When listening to my Play:1 in another room, I don't have any of these issues. When listening to sources other than Amazon Music, I also don't have any issues.My setup is a Beam Gen 2 with a pair of Symfonisk bookshelf speakers as surround, no Sub.Could you let the team that worked on this fix know, please?c.c @Mr. T , @Jimmy C 

Has anyone tested the sub with trueplay after the 14.18 update? Is it fixed or still an issue? 

Hi,I have 3 sonos symfonisk speakers, 2 in the living room where the router is, and 1 in the kitchen. I have never been able to connect to them using WiFi so I connected one of the speakers by ethernet cable to the router to create a sonosnet. The issue I am having is that several times per week when I try to use the sonos-app to play music, it can’t connect to the speakers. I have to physically disconnect the power and connect it and wait and then the app can connect. I also have playback issues where songs are skipped, stutters or stop being played for seconds.I had this for a year now and I have never had it working properly and I am very disappointed in these products.Does anyone have any idea what can be done or is this just a waste of money?

Bonjour J’ ai acheté en 2020 via Sonos, une platine disque Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. Elle fonctionne sur un Play 5 mais je souhaite à présent l'installer sur un ampli MARANTZ. Le souci est que le son grésille, avec ou sans masse, et que la musique est donc inaudible. Pourriez-vous m'aider svp ? Je suppose que cette platine n'est pas uniquement faite pour fonctionner avec un HP Sonos. Faut-il ajouter un autre élément?Bien cordialement

Some while ago @countryman came up with an answer to this Question, but the eBay links that pointed to his solution have now expired. Does anyone have the answer?I have a Samsung TV that currently feeds a Sonos Beam via the HDMI-ARC socket on the TV.  I need to extract the audio from this feed so that I can drive a pair of headphones at the same time as feeding the Beam.   @countryman solution was as follows. Just need the original values of X and YAvoid the passive optical splitters.  You get what you pay for. Buy an active optical splitter such as X . Note that the identical unit on Amazon is about 3x the price of this one ! Buy a simple DAC such as Y Connect up the Samsung to the IN of (2), the Sonos Beam to one of the (OUT) and the DAC to another (OUT) Job done. 

After reading many similar complaints, I understood Sonos considers it is up to YT to fix the issue. I do not agree because I chose Sonos because it is YT compatible. If it is not compatible, Sonos is lying when they say they include the YouTube Service. For my part, most of my playlists have missing songs, and some even have all the songs unavailabe!I am very disappointed because the devices are very good, and the app is also nice. 

I have an arc two subs and two ones. I won’t to be able to hear my music in other rooms.  What’s best options to group with?  

Hello! Considering the Arc or Beam but would love if I could use my existing Bang Olufsen speakers together with the soundbar and not have to get the Sonos sub. is there anyway i can do that?i have a pair of Beolab Penta and Beolab 3000 and a Beomaster 4500 amp.  is there some gadget that would make it possible to use my existing speakers with a sonos soundbar? best regardscarl  

Hi,I am planning to simplify my existing whole house Crestron system and do not want use any of existing kit which is getting old and takes up a huge rack.  Can someone confirm my understanding is correct please.My understanding is that I could get up and running using a Sonus amp and connect four wired (passive) speakers and sub to the amp and with the app I would have Sonus working in say the lounge.  Is this correct? Each amp is a zone, therefore, even though I only have 2 ceiling speakers in 2 other rooms, I cannot connect all four to an amp (number 2) as cannot control independently.  Is this correct? Assuming I have 1 & 2 above correct.  In order to control four rooms independently (using existing ceiling speakers) I need 4 amps?   Am I right in thinking the Sonos amp has the functionality of the port with the addition of ability to power speakers and therefore I don't need to purchase?Thank you! 

Back in May 2022 I attempted to buy online a “2 Room Sonos One Set”. I have a 30% Upgrade Discount on my account which I was trying to use.Logging on to my account the 30% discount is clearly shown:  , and the online pricing shows the 30% discount being shown i.e. £398 down to £278.60 = 30%… ...placing the item in my basket still shows the 30% discount pricing i.e. £278.60… ...going to checkout…...hey presto the pricing changes to only a 15% discount!!!! I raised this issue back in early May with Sonos support, sending them the above screenshots of my account and the correct 30% discount turning into the incorrect 15% at Checkout. Sonos support agreed that it was a website error, and that the issue would be fixed.Since then I’ve lost count of how many marketing emails I’ve received telling me that I have a 30% Upgrade Credit on my account, and how many emails I’ve had asking for feedback on how Sonos was performing.If only they spent as much effort fixing their online Shop... 6 months

I had this issue before and I gave up on the product but after a few months, replugged it in and it worked fine. My sound system had been working fine for many months and I got the Sonos Sub which I loved but now randomly this issue has appeared again.Sonos beam keeps flashing a white light even though I have it connected via ethernet cable to the router. I’ve tried unplugging the router as well as the Beam. I can’t even factory reset the beam (doesn’t matter how long I hold on to the join/infinity button, it keeps flashing white). Very frustrating as I got the subs + 2x SL ones to pair and now none of them can connect to my TV.Diagnostic number: 197347082

HI!I CAN USE 4 SPEAKERS OF 8 OHMS EACH MAKING IMPEDANCE MARRIAGE IN 2 OHMS AND ONLY PLUG IN ONE AMP CHANNEL? I ALSO HAVE 4 SPEAKERS OF 4 OHMS EACH, I WOULD LIKE TO CONNECT EACH PAIR IN PARALLEL (2 OHMS) USING THE TWO CHANNELS OF THE AMP. I CAN DO THIS? THANKS
