My system includes Sonos speakers connected by ethernet as well as wifi. All too often, some of the wifi speakers furthest from my Orbi router and satellites, drop in and out. I’m considering adding a wifi extender, or worse case, another satellite, to improve stability. Your thoughts on what is best will be appreciated.My network is an Orbi RBR50 router with three Orbi RBS50 satellites, all ethernet connected to the router. The house is two stories, 5,100 sq feet. Unfortunately, the internet cable comes into an upstairs closet in the southeast corner of the house, about as far as possible from where I want coverage. Satellite 1 is on the second floor about in the middle of the west wall of the house (in other words, the opposite end of the house from the router.) Satellite 2 is on the first floor in the northwest corner of the house. Ethernet connected to it is a Denon receiver with a Sonos Port running non Sonos in-wall home theater speakers. I’ve got the Samsung Serif TV, as well as a Sonos Arc which I’ve been contemplating mounting above the television.  Because it stands on its own 4 legs though, I’ve been also thinking the possibility of mounting it below the television but then again access to the sound bar would be limited so back to my initial idea. Specifically given that the TV would sit ahead of the speaker, would it make sense to mount it right above the television? This would be above ear level but plenty of space between it and the ceiling. I’ve literally searched everywhere but seems no one has had this dilemma. All thoughts/ideas welcome please.

In my household I have a Sonos One in my daughter’s room, and an Arc and a Beam in other parts of the house. I have everything connected to my Sonos account using Spotify and Alexa. I want to restrict what my daughter can listen to in her room, so I set her up with her own Spotify account on my family plan and restricted explicit music.I can’t figure out how to set it up so her Spotify account plays on her Sonos One, and my account plays in the other parts of the house. I tried creating a separate Sonos account, but the Sonos app wouldn’t let me. I added both her and my Spotify accounts to my Sonos account, but couldn’t tell it to use one account on one device, and another account on the others.What can I do here? I will have to get rid of the Sonos One and buy some other speaker if I can’t restrict explicit music in her room.

Hi all, help!I’ve changed my router and now my music library isn’t recognised. I’ve deleted it from and am trying to re add it but it says ‘there is no shared folder’ on the laptop’?????  It’s all Series 1 Sonos products, I’ve attached to the new router via ethernet and it recognises my new network, but I just can’t add my music folder - what am I doing wrong?  I’m not techy at all, so if you can shed any light in laymans terms I’d really appreciate it.

My playbase doesnt want to Connect because the playbase doesnt make Any Sound in the process were the mobile phone trys to hear a Audio code. Someone ever had the Same issue? Thanks for any help! ps: i reset already few times untill Green light

I am missing the option to add a title from seach view to the actual player at the end of the plalist or the “play next” option.I only see the option to add a title to a seperate stored playlist or to play the tile right now.I am working with the Android S2 app

My music library is located on a external hard drive, I would like to reset the paths that are already set to add further music selections. However, when I open “Music Library Settings” all I can see is Desktop

A question for Sonos.  Why can’t you make a combined S1 and S2 universal controller?  Can’t your software be smart enough to identify and combine all of your speakers?  I get the hardware is different, but if S1 controls old hardware, and S2 new hardware, why not a S Universal that is smart enough to combine and control it all?  Or is this a way to force the sale of upgraded hardware?

I have a Beam (GEN 2) hooked up to my Toshiba Fire TV through the HDMI ARC port. Hooked up the beam and everything works fine, tv sound, spotify, etc. However, whenever the TV goes to sleep/turns off for awhile and then is turned back on- the arc connection no longer works, plays no tv sound, and my tv says that my tv remote cannot control the volume.I try to re-pair the sonos with the tv via the app and it states there is no ARC Audio output even though it was working before...The only way for me to fix the issue is to fully restart the system via unplugging tv from the wall or going into tv settings and doing a full restart. Anyone seen this problem before or have any ideas on how to fix?

I turn on the tv connected via hdmi to sonos beam 2 in dolby configuration with 2 ikea synphonisk. everything works perfectly but after about 15/20 minutes the audio stops for 20 seconds, after 20/30 minutes it fixes the problem again, then it doesn't do it again. the problem occurs with and without the ikea satellites connected, i tried to shut down the system, i updated the system to the latest version but the problem is always present.

I have had a Sonos system with 4 speakers for a few years and it has been working great until recently.I noticed that a couple of the speakers disappeared from the Sonos app (S2?) so I tried all sorts of options and eventually got them to reappear. Then one speaker was unplugged and moved to a different location and it was then lost in the Sonos app!Then, we had a power cut and all speakers disappeared again.I have been trying to get them all back but they just won’t connect anymore!?I have 2 x Play:3, 1 x Play:1 and 1 x One (Gen 1).The wifi is provided by a Netgear Orbi mesh.Internet is via a Technicolor DGA0122The Sonos app is the latest version (v15.1.1) I have restarted the router, the Orbi wifi and every single speaker. I have reset each one (by holding the necessary buttons until the speaker chirps and flashes amber). They usually connect to the SONOS wifi but not always, they then fail to connect to the Orbi wifi. And yes, the password I am entering is correct! Any ideas on anyt

HiNot long had my new set up of arc plus sub plus one sl surrounds but I find the sound very thin and sibilant when watching normal tv (through virgin media box). It’s like treble is far too forward in sound profile meaning it’s a very harsh sound. Honestly my previous £250 Samsung soundbar sounded better (for normal tv).I’ve spent hours changing settings, running and re-running trueplay etc.is this just the way it is with an Arc? Should I consider a Beam instead? Thanks 

I have an LG tv and a Sonos Beam in full surround sound config. This forces the TV to change the Sound Out menu to “HDMI ARC” When I change the Sound Out menu to “Internal TV Speaker” it immediately changes back to  “HDMI ARC” This is not good for watching TV at night. This means that the ARC signal is Sonos led. Is there a way for the ARC signal to be TV led?   

I am looking to purchase the Sony 77" Class - A80CK Series - 4K UHD OLED TV along with the Sonos Amp with 2 Sonance (in ceiling) speakers and 1 subwoofer.  I’m planning to use the Sony OLED built in (into the TV screen) speakers as my front sound and use the in in ceiling speakers as my rear sound, enhanced by the subwoofer. My concern is whether or not I will have issues with sound using the Sony Speakers along with my Sonos/Sonance setup? Is it as simple as connecting all devices to the Sonos Amp and I shouldn’t have any issues? Thanks for your direction!

Presently have a number of speakers and a sound bar connected to my SonosNet system.Considering purchasing the new Era 300 as an update to my  2 first generation, Sonos one’s. I understand the new Era 300 doesn’t support SonosNet.  Do I therefore have to remove all my speakers and sound bar from SonosNet to WiFi  to incorporate the new Era300?  If so, how do I do that.   Removing the Sonos Boost from the system will automatically allow all my speakers to find WiFi? 

Surround as in title won’t update. Running S2. Have rebooted both router and devices several times. Surround no longer working. Cannot remove surround since it needs an update. Update goes through “Getting ready” then jumps to “Finishing up” then to update failed.Any advice?

Hi all, I suspect I already know the answer to my query but hoping I missed something and I can salvage my existing system and use my turntable.Current list of products: Connect (Gen 1), Play:1s, One (Gen 1), Sub (Gen 2) and Playbar (Gen ?).Is there any way to use any of the aforementioned speakers with my Connect on either controller? Can I downgrade any of my speakers to make something work or do I need to find a Gen 2 Connect?

Does the Move usb-c input support line-in?

I have my Line-in source level set to 4 and I’m using a Pro-Ject T1 turntable with the Sonos Port, playing through a Sonos Beam and a Sonos One. I have the built-in preamp on my T1 set to Line so the sound is reasonably amplified, but the sound is staticky with almost zero low-end, it sounds very thin. Seems obvious that I’m doing something wrong here but i can’t figure out what. Any help would be much apprecated!

I have a playbar and two play one’s I’m trying to set up in a second room (Kitchen) to extend the sound from the TV in the Great room where I have a playbar, two play 3’s and a sub which are all working as they should be.  The second playbar (Kitchen) works fine but I can’t get the play one’s to connect to the playbar in the Kitchen. When I open the kitchen room in settings it doesn’t ask me if I want to add a play one, it only gives me an option to ‘set up surrounds’ which it won’t do since it doesn’t recognize the two play one’s. On the occasion (after factory resetting and rebooting the wifi, etc) the app recognizes a play one it puts in in kitchen 2 or kitchen 3 which is obviously not the same room as the playbar. Help!! I have factory reset the play ones multiple times, rebooted the wifi multiple times, even did a factory reset on the playbar and both play ones and tried to start from scratch and to no avail. My app still thinks the play ones are in kitchen 2 and kitchen 3 and I c

When I go into the Sonos app my device shows as “Not Registered” and therefore I cannot change anything.If I try to register it and follow the process it gets to “Linking your Beam to your account” and then tells me there is a problem linking and would I like to try again; this is ongoing…If I log into my account via a web browser, I can see the Beam device in my account.HELP!

Hi. Each time I add a new sonos speaker/soundbar to my system, my LG TV sees a new sonos server with each one, which show up on screen. However, none of these will allow me to play any music stored on my synology NAS. The music appears under music shares and all tracks are there but I get “this file not recognised”.  When I access music via my NAS drive server, all music will play. Several questions: Why all these servers for each speaker? Why can’t I access music through them? Can I get rid of them?Regards, Mike 

I have struggled with the Sonos One because it does not support high definition flac files (24 bit encoding, for example). I can’t play 100’s of tracks in my library due to errors like this: “unsupported sample rate 24b9600”in the Sonos app. (on Android) Is this resolved in the Era100? I would like to consider a full apartment setup of the Era… but need to know that my music library will work! (HDTracks and other audiophile vendors often provide 24 bit flac files)

Hi,I’ve just received a reconditionned Beam Gen 1, I’ve plugged it in to my SAMSUNG UE49KU6450 TV (on the ARC HDMI plug) with an apple TV and a PS4 on the other two HDMI plugs.On the Apple TV the screen goes black and the sound cuts for 1-2 seconds quite often, on the PS4 it’s different, I just get sent to the TV source (disconnected from all HDMI sources) and have to change the source back to PS4 but it’s pretty rare (I would say once every 5-6 hours).This did not happen before I installed the Beam, I disconnected everything, and left just the Beam and the Apple TV and I still have the problem, I also changed the HDMI cable of the Apple TV and this did not change anything either (I’m using the HDMI cable given by Sonos for the Beam).I’ve turned off the TV and unplugged it for a couple hours (as asked on another thread) and I’ve checked and there’s no updates for my TV and the Apple TV is up to date (the Beam is up to date too).Thanks for your help!

I would love to buy a bass mini for my sonos move . Can sonos consider doing this !
