So I have a gen1 Beam & I've just changed my TV from the Philips 50PUS8204 to the Philips 65OLED707. It's currently connected via an HDMI port with arc.I've noticed that when I'm watching Sky then switch to an app via the android TV home screen there's no sound. I need to use the remote to put the TV into standby then turn it on again to get the sound to switch over. I’d guess the issue is in switching from an HDMI source to something powered via the Android TV portion although I never had this issue with my previous Philips Android TV. Any ideas on a resolution or what could be causing it?

I have just set up my new Arc, and I am using my two Play 3's as rear speakers. They work perfectly when playing music through Spotify. Yet when using the TV, sound only comes through the Arc Can someone please let me know what I am doing wrong     

Hi,My first post. Sonos has a page - Sonos Power Consumption While Idle, is there a similar page for the Symfonisk products? Also does SonosNet usage have a large impact on standby consumption? I only stumbled onto SonosNet today, I wonder why Sonos/IKEA don’t promote its use?

The Pocket Casts service is enabled in my Sonos controller app. However, when searching the Sonos app for a podcast, there are no results from Pocket Casts.Is there something which needs enabling or is this a restriction within the service provided by Pocket Casts?(Pocket Casts is connected and working. I can open the Pocket Casts service under "Browse" on the Sonos app and play podcasts from there.)

I have just signed up to their 5G Home Broadband, which I am quite happy with, apart from the fact I cannot get my 4 Play 1’s and Playbase connected to it.  I can get one Play 1 to work if I use an ethernet cable, but as soon as I disconnect it it is no longer detected.   I have called Sonos who said I need to contact Three to sort it out because they couldn’t, so I called them who said I needed to call Zyxel.  I called Zyxel who won’t deal with it as Three have changed the firmware of the router.  Has anyone had similar issue and got the speakers to work?

I have a beam gen 2 and sub gen 2. I am wanting to connect some 3rd party ceiling speakers for surround sound. Is this possible using a connect:amp s2?TIA

Sonos MOVE When the speaker is switched off, the microphone LED on top lights up white and after that the speaker cannot be switched on.I tried a factory reset, but it didn't respond to that either!What could be wrong?

I’m trying to hide my cables and want a setup without visible wires.  I have 2 sonos ones at both right and left of my bookshelves with a wall mounted TV.  I was told by a sonos reseller that in order to connect my sonos ones to my Samsung frame 2020, I need a sonos amp.  I have connected my sonos amp to my Samsung frame box (hdmi eArc) but no volume comes up. And I can’t connect it to my sonos ones.  Please help! 

My house is a mix of beams and I also have a sonos one and play5. I use Alexa on only one device, the Sonos one, in the garage. I wanted to replace my Amazon echo studio in the kitchen with a play5 so I could airplay, but my wife is so used to the studio I thought “connect a dot to it, and it will be like the studio.” So far, not so much. The dot is hard wired to the play5. I want to just be able to say, “Alexa, play blah on Spotify” and have it work. No sound comes out. Not out of the echo, nor out of the play5. If I unplug the echo, it comes out of its own speaker, but it’s not playing where I want it to.  I feel stupid. Hopefully someone has some wisdom for me. I just want my music, and AirPlay. 

I have the sonos play one. I’m currently using the sonos 1 app, I’ve been told different answers about my compatibility to upgrade to the sonos 2 app. Has anyone here upgraded their sonos play one to the new sonos 2 app??? Is it compatible????

My Sonos Bar + 2 Speakers + 1 bass was installed by a profesional in my previous apartment. When I sold it all my furniture included my Sonos has been in a storage for 2 years. Now I have a new appartment and I want to reinstall the system but I hav no idea haw to do it. How can I ge a help; somebody coming to my place or guiding me by phone A big thank you in advance fo any advice

I couldn’t see any of the replies, asking question again. So I have the Sonos play one. Can I use the new sonos 2 app or not. I get different answers. Can someone please clarify please. Right now I’m obviously using the sonos 1 app. 

Hi, I like using Plex to play music from Synology NAS server, via my Sonos app on my Sonos devices. The only problem I have is that volume between tracks is not normalised.I don’t have this issue when playing via Plex on my MacBook, or playing via iOS with sound check enabled. I use iVolume to normalise all levels which I think is embedded within tracks, but for some reason Sonos is ignoring this data.Is this a limitation of the Sonos software, or am I missing a setting somewhere? 

Hi, so I have my spotify acount, when playing a song and pressing the “select a device” button, it just says “connecting” for eternity.Sonos is says the speakers and phone are connected, but plays a random playlist instead of the one I want, complete with adverts that I can pause and play but not change. I would never willingly listen to The Venga Boys.The wife’s plays no problem.

I have a ROAM and was set up in a small work room. I moved it to another room and then unable to connect to sonos system. When I pressed to start it has a red light so I’m kinda stuck. Looked up help but nothing popped up that was helpful. Any ideasThanks

I have a new Apple TV (Wireless Only) that is connected to a Samsung UN43AU8000F TV with an optical cable going to a Sonos Playbar and the mute function does not work (Volume works fine). If I press the mute button, the Playbar will mute for a second and then unmute. What's interesting is the Samsung remote itself does not have a mute button directly, the mute function is pressing on the center of the toggle up/down volume button. I have another Apple TV connected to a higher model Samsung w/ Playbar that has no issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have tried resetting the remote and various other articles I have found on the Sonos & Apple forums.

Hi, I’m new to this community. Hoping someone can help me. My Beam and One SL speakers are broadcasting a SSID publicly as an open Wi-Fi network. SSID looks something like this to “SONOS-AxEINDUYIndk+ltN=”. Currently two SSIDs are showing each begins with SONOS- and ends with = character. How can I disable these SSIDs from being broadcast as I am concerned about security.NB: My products are connected to my network via WiFi.

I have been using a Nuvo system for about 8 years now that allows my 7 zones to all play separate audio. I have 2 3 zone systems and 1 single zone all integrated together. It’s rare (never?) that all 7 are playing and playing different things at the same time. I would like to change over to Sonos for various reasons and I need to know what to get to run those. All are hardwired and I run the zones from the app. I only need 2, a pair of speakers on my patio and a pair by the pool,  that I would like to be able to run TV audio through. The rest can just be from Spotify, Pandora, Iheart, whatever. If I understand the Sonos products, to run 7 individual zones I would need 7 amps. I can cut down the number of amps I need by pairing zones together. Those zones (pairs of speakers) would then become 1 single zone that would play the same audio at the same volume.  Am I right and  what options do I have for the zone(s) to run TV sound? I have read about HDMI arcing but the television and speake

Hi all, Less than a month back I joined Sonos world and started with Sonos Arc. Last night picked up Sonos Sub Mini.  What’s the best settings you guys would recommend for optimal sound performance. Does the EQ bass decrease,  reduce it for Sub Mini or just the Arc? ? It’s pretty confusing and sonos isn’t responding yet.  Additionally, do you guys prefer putting Sonos Sub Mini near couch or next to TV stand?  Thank you!

Hi, I have 2 Sonos Roam and the Sonos Port. I would like to connect my Sony CMT-G2NiP to my Sonos System so that I can stream a cd played on the Sony to one or both of the Roam weich are placed in other rooms.I am new to this Streaming things and require some help how to connect these systems. my current setup:room a) Sonos Roam 1room b) Sonos Roam 2room c) CD Player connected to Sonos PortSo far everything works… I can play cd in room c on any of the Roams or I can stream from Smartphone to the Roams room d) Sony CMT-G2NiP with its own speaker connected … works fine  Issue: how to stream from the Sony to ohne of the Roams in room a or b? thanks for help

Hello! I have a Sonos Port connected to a Denon AVR. Every time I switch the output to variable volume it jumps back to fixed, can you please help me?

What did work perfect in W10 is not the case in W11. I can’t connect to SONOS.  This is a HP Notebook and the settings done by my company. Meaning, I have restricted access as administrator. So I can’t change the public to Private network. Any other suggestions able to connect please?    

Can I add another Sonos product to my app and profile that is in a different country and house? Or do I need a new profile for the 2nd country?
