Hi,Can I group a Roam SL speaker with my existing pair of Play:1?

Hey there,Somehow the new speakers I’ve added to an existing system don’t show up on the Mac app. They’re fine on Mobile and can be controlled/grouped. But no sign of them on the Mac app!  I’ve re-installed the app already. any help would be appreciated. Running macOS Monterey 12.2.1 thanks

This is a recent issue.  We have a Playbar connected to an older Sony XBR-65850C via optical out.  We also have a Sub and two Play1s configured for surround sound. When watching tournaments on the Golf Channel, we cannot hear the announcers.  We can hear background noise - fans, players talking, etc. - through the Playbar.  I feel like this used to come through the Play1s. Commercial audio is fine. Tournament audio on network channels like CBS and NBC are fine.  If we cast from mobile app or laptop to the Sony, the audio is fine.Ideas?

Equipment available at Client Site - JIO Router, DLink Switch and Ruckus Access Point.  error shows check your internet connecting and try again but other system works fine.Client doesn’t have additional ethernet wiring so can’t connect Sonos ARC to ethernet.  Need help If i get set setting inbetween JIO Router, D Link switch and Ruckus (R350) access Point.  urgent support Required. 

My Sonos Beam, Gen 2, sounds crackled and static when playing TV and when using music streaming apps.  What’s the problem?

I do not see the TuneIn on the Browse tab menu...but I see it on my laptop version of Sonos..?

Not unlike several threads I've seen recently that have gone unanswered or deflected by Sonos, I have two Sonos One speakers that have been randomly disconnected from Wi-Fi now weekly with no solution.  I unplug and reconnect...nothing. Always with the same message from the Sonos app: “unable to connect to Sonos, let's fix it!”  Well, nothing is being fixed. They were fine for the first 4 months in my office so it's not an IP issue, etc. Why is this happening now?

Helloi have an arc, sup and 2 one sl in my TV room. But I can not get them all to connect together? I want to use the 2 sl for back speakers.  when I connect the sub to sl then it disconnects to the arc. When I connect the arc to the sub the sl disconnect from the sub.hope to get some help 😊  

As title. Can login on the web version (hence i can write this question!), but can’t login to use my Andriod app. I have reset the password multiple times, have uninstalled the app, have reset the app, have tried to set up a new account… None of these things worked.   Help please! Many thanks 

Hey team. We have 8 speakers connected to reception and treatment rooms. A few irritating issues we can’t troubleshoot. 1.  Our clinic iPad app refuses to connect to the speakers despite being logged onto the same system. 2.  Most of the rooms are connected to the “helm”. One or two therapists play their own playlists in their room via their phones. When they connect to just that speaker, the whole system either stops or goes haywire. 3.  Sometimes we get an unstable internet connection for the system despite the rest of the internet and the solo connected therapists not having an issue. 4.  When songs connect, they play for 5 seconds then skip to another song. Mumford and sons isn’t supposed to sound like EDM. Please help. Appreciation in advance. 

Hi!I have a Beam (1st generation) connected to my Samsung tv using ARC. The Sonos app says that it is outputting Dolby Digital 5.1 but I’m not sure if this is the correct format. Since I am only using the Beam and have not connected any surround speakers, shouldn’t this be in some other stereo format?  I just want to get the best sound from my speaker :)Thanks!Chris

I don’t understand why when one speaker may need an update, the entire Sonos speakers have to be stopped! Just turned on a speaker I hadn’t used in a while and the music stopped playing while the update took place! 

Is it just me are is Sonos behaving particularly bad at the minute?  I'm constantly getting connection issues where the app can't see any of my devices (two ones and a beam) or can just see one but not the other. This seems to happen 90% of the time I open the app. Sometimes this will sort itself out in a few minutes but other times I just give in. Gone are the days when I can just open the app and group some rooms in less than a minute. It would be quicker to switch a turntable on, flick through some vinyls, then put on a record than to fire up the Sonos app. The lack of quality and consistency is really starting to annoy me.  

We have 50 play 5 speaker in 1 big villa how can we use in 1 system it is only 32 speaker for 1 system

Hi all I am planning on installing several sonos amps and wired speakers in a new build. Can anyone tell me is there a device other than my phone that I can play music and the radio through. I like not needing my phone when I come home from work so is there a device that I can stream from that would sit on for example the kitchen island this preventing me from needing to use my phone?  Thanks. 

I've owned & really enjoyed my SONOS system for over 10 years.  All but one of my SONOS units are S1 and the other is S1/S2, so I control the system via the How many calls have you missed while getting past your phone's lock screen, then to & maximizing the SONOS app, selecting Rooms, then either:  A. Clicking on "Pause All", then clicking on "Yes" OR B. Sliding up on the black section identifying "where/what" is currently playing to reveal the groupie volume level, then click on the Speaker Icon to "Mute" SONOS?](Android) S1 controller.  And I believe SONOS has done a great job of incorporating all the system controls into the phone app.  However, there is ONE very frequently occurring problem/annoyance that I don't think can be eliminated by any further improvements to the phone app: Very quickly muting/stopping/pausing the SONOS "sound" when necessary.  E.g., when a child screams, a spouse demands immediate attention, answering an  incoming phone call, etc. [Aside: how many

Hi all, we have a decent sized basement that is going to be pretty open plan. It’s pretty much an L Shape, and the plan is for one side of the L to be a home gym/workout area, the other side a TV/sofas area, and in the “corner” of the L is a bar. You’d be able to stand at the bar and look straight ahead at the TV, or look to your right and  see the gym area.for the TV set up i would plan on soundbar, sub and surrounds. Initial thought is that surrounds would be positioned focused on the sofa. However if we ever hosted a party (think super bowl or otherwise) or whatever we would expect people to be sitting at the bar or perched behind the sofas. Even home alone id probably like to be able to sit at the bar and have the tv on. So i am also not sure what to do about speaker placement. Would adding an extra “zone” for the bar (and then grouping with the TV) do the job in bringing the tv sound to the bar area? Or will this distort, cause echo, etc? The Sonos app seems to have been updated and has put Sonos radio at the top of my search results instead of Spotify. How can I revert back or better still remove the Sonos radio all together?

Hi, I’ve been experiencing a bug on my Sonos One players recently.I’ll select a song that I want to play using the Sonos controller app and then select the repeat song button (tapping the repeat button twice so that the icon with the 2 arrows and the ‘1’ inside the circle appears). The song will play normally during the first playthrough, but after that, the song always skips after the first 19 seconds (this is very consistent). Sometimes an error will display in the Sonos app about an unsupported encoding, sometimes nothing shows up.I’ve used both the iOS app and the macOS app and get the same results. FWIW, the song is this one from Spotify.My workaround is to create a playlist with at least 2 songs and then have that playlist play on repeat, which for whatever reason seems to stop the bug from happening.Any help would be appreciated. If nothing else, I just want to make sure the Sonos team sees this bug report. Thanks!

Pretty sure that this isn’t a fault with my Sonos kit, but hoping others may have had a similar issue and know how to fix it.  I have two Echo Dots. One in the lounge and one in my bedroom. The lounge Dot works in conjunction with my Sonos PlayBase, which is paired with 2 Sonos One SLs. In my lounge, if I ask Alexa to play BBC Radio 2, she duly obliges and the music is played via the Sonos speakers. If I do the same thing in my bedroom, where the Dot works with a single Sonos One SL, Alexa plays Radio 2, but from the Dot speaker. What’s more, if I specifically ask her to play it on the bedroom speaker, she refuses.  I’ve heard that this may be a licensing issue, but that doesn’t explain why it works as desired in the lounge. I’ve double checked all the settings, and they are the same on both Dots and all the speakers.  Moderator edit: Added that “Ones” are in fact “One SLs”

I have an older Samsung TV without an optical port or HDMI earc or arc.  I have a brand new apple TV 4k,  What is the best way to hook this up to get the best sound?  Do I hook up Apple TV to HDMI on TV and then run a HDMI from TV to Apple TV?  Neither of my HDMI ports are arc
