We’ve had a Sonos bridge with two Play 3 speakers for several years.  It works brilliantly.  So we finally bought a third Play 3 Speaker for top floor.  But when I try to connect it, it says I need an update, and when I try to update, it says I need an upgrade.I’m guessing there are clever people out there who know a workaround so that Sonos can't try and force us to ditch workable hardware that has nothing wrong with it and buy all new hardware, which I will not do from a company that treats its customers like this.I’m reasonably tech savvy, but can’t find a way yet to connect it.  Anyone able to help?Dave

Not sure if this has been asked.I am new to Sonos but been using Plex for many years.Is there a way for Sonos to use the Plex playlist art instead of the album covers it uses?Many thanks

Hi AllI have a weird issue that has just started, I have three Sonos items, Sonos SL in my office and bedroom, then a sonos port connected to a multiroom system.The three are setup on the app as separate rooms, i could play music through Sonos Radio or Spotify to any individual room, now the issue i have is if i slect the port on its own i get a cannot connect or cannot add to queue error dependant on if it is radio or spotify.If i select either of the other two SL speakers they work fine, I can then add port as an additional source and it also plays….I power cycled the three speakers, Sonos would not then play on anything, I reset my router, uninstalled the apps on my phone, reinstalled the apps still the same.Factory reset the SL speakers and I am now back to the speakers working fine but the port still not working standalone, the port will also not factory reset….i get a flashing amber/ white but not green, it returns to white, I have also disabled the wifi and hardwired the port an

Hi All,I am having a problem with audio drop-out when my Roam is grouped to my Beam (TV).The system is:3 x Play 31 x Beam1 x Sonos One1 x Roam Controller on smart phone Sonos S2All are WM:1 (WiFi, nothing wired).Network shows SonosNet Channel 6 (greyed out)WiFi is old-ish, 2.4 GHz onlyNothing is in surround sound or stereo pair set-ups.TV is a Sony Bravia. HDMI / ARC connection to BeamNo voice control or services in use I have used the system for several years without hitch. The Sonos One and Roam are new additions. Set-up went as expected and these 2 new units work normally when playing music from my Laptop / Music Library and  from mobile phone  “On this mobile device” and from mobile phone “BBC Sounds”. (I don’t have any music streaming accounts) The main use of my Sonos system is to hear whatever is playing on the TV throughout the house.  Mainly Digital  Freeview TV / Radio by aerial and BBC iPlayer via internet. Hi,I have a Beam, 2 One SL and Hub mini connected together for surround.For several weeks every works fine but from today the application stopped reflecting the sonos activity. The speakers continue working and can be controlled by buttons and/or via API but no data is received in the application on phone or windows.Could you help?Thanks,David

Hi all,I just bought a Sonos Boost to eliminate frequent dropouts. I tried to set up the Boost by adding it to the existing setup using the S1 app, but this process did fail with a message that there is a compatibility issue with the Sonos Boost after I followed the process “System” - “Add Boost or Bridge” As much as I understood from earlier articles, the Boost is supported in an S1-controlled setup, so my question is why I can’t add it using the S1 app?It would be excellent if you could help me out.

Hi,I understand the only way to play lossless audio using Apple Music is using ATV - eg playing through my connected Beam.  If I group my Beam with my stereo paired 5’s + sub using S2 app and play Apple Music through ATV into Beam as source, will this play lossless through 5’s + sub?  Thanks for your help 

Sirius no longer plays on my Sonos system - been going on for over a week.  Can’t reach their advanced tech support until tomorrow.  Would like to see what you guys can offer on the subject - the answer simply translates to whether I kill my Sirius service or not so appreciate anything you can offer.  The fact that the topic is #1 in your related topics section above.  whats up?

I have a number of devices in my house (Arc, Beam, Amps, Ones,...). Some are in my living room, dining room, TV room, each kid’s rooms, gym, patio,… I would like to limit the ability of kid 1 to connect to device in kid 2’s room (accidental or on purpose). Basically I would like to give my kid 1 access to sonos in their room and TV room. Kid 2 to sonos in their room and TV room. For me and wife I would like unlimited access to all sonos devices including Kid1 and Kid2 room systems. I don’t see this ability in the sonos app. I can’t believe that sonos has not invested some resources in to this feature. How can customers put in a feature request?

Greetings. My home Wi-Fi is made up of 4 google Wi-Fi access points. I installed 4 new speakers in my patio cover. I am powering the speakers using the Sonia amp. That part works fine. When I try to pair my sub with the amp it will pair and then come up “not connected”. The amp for the patio is in my bedroom closet as to not be outside in the elements.  I have a Ethernet cable plugged into the amp. The sub will only connect when it’s with 10 to 15 feet of the amp. Any further than that it will not pair up.to my understanding, if the amp is connected via cable, it will use SonosNet to connect to the sub. So does that mean if I connnectvthe amp with standard wifi the sun should be wifi as well?  The is an access point right above where the sun is and it’s still not working. The only think that makes the sun work is moving it closer rot eye amp. When amp is connected via Wi-Fi and when the sub actually connects, the WM for the amp is 1 and for the sub it’s 2. Hello,Due to physical and network constraints, I want to use SonosNet and have one speaker wired.I would like that speaker to be a Sonos One SL which is bonded as a surround speaker (to an Amp). I have multiple other Sonos speakers in other rooms.Will this work fine, or is there any restriction preventing surround speakers being the “master” wired node for SonosNet?Thanks in advance! 

Beam is offline for some reason.bridge failed-replaced it &updated but cannot see boost or beam or play barreset network several times. No equipment moved. Reset Sonos 1app which then saw the bridge but can’t see anything else.HELP please

Currently I am active duty military and can only use a wpa2 network that doesn’t work with my one sl. Is there any work around to be able to use the speaker?

Subject line pretty much sums it up. Trueplay “loses” speaker. They’re all there making noises.  Arc, sub + 2 play:3’s.  i know this subject has been addressed before, but the Sonos ppl shut it down before useful advice appears. (Why do they do that? Just leave it open until the problem is solved.) 

I would like to know what band of wifi does the sonos speakers use. 2.4 or 5?

When I try to save my playlists, I get an error message saying that SONOS encountered an error. Cannot save it.

Hi, I have disabled the Status Light on my Sonos Roam to prevent it lighting up my bedroom at night, but leaving the Roam on the Wireless Charger, the Battery Light regularly comes on briefly as if I have just placed it on the charger. Despite the Battery Light only being on for brief amount of time it is disturbing in the middle of the night. I’m guessing this is because the Sonos is allowing its battery percentage to drop down to 99%, then start charging again back up to 100%, but surely this should be factored in. What can I do to stop this happening?

I’ve tried everything, nothing works?had to reconnect to old Wi-Fi but this is not an sustainable option.

Hi I’m installing several zoned areas with in-ceiling speakers wired back to several amps in my comms  cabinet. If I get an Amazon echo how does this communicate with my amps and zones? Is it simply a case of plugging it in and hooking it up to the wifi network or does it need to be wired back to the amps? thanks. 

Hey everyone,  Having an issue with my system, have a stereo pair of Fives and every time I connect the sub, the right channel disconnects and stops working.  Did a hard reset, worked for a while then did Trueplay tuning and the issue comes back every time. When I disconnect the sub, the right channel returns and as soon as I add it back, it disconnects again…at a loss here, if anyone can help?  best,JB 

Hi everyone, I have a Sonos One and a Sonos One SL, I want to connect them through Wi-Fi to my Samsung TV the frame. Is it possible with Sonos Boost ? Or only with a soundbar like Ray? 

My playbase suddenly stopped working after 5 years. I had it connected to my wifi, and via optical to the TV. I can find it with my phone, but unable to connect. I have tried to reset it to factory settings, but still have the same issue. Image below shows a message «check nettwork connection».  

So I have installed Sonos app twice now.  Setting up my new Move took over an hour because the app refused to believe my router was actually functioning (another story, but relevant as the app gives misleading info a lot). Anyway, then I go onto adding services and all goes well until my paid YouTube Music account is added.  I added it twice (using the whole code paste in and authorizing my Google account) and it went through each time.  YouTube was successfully added.  But whenever I go into YouTube Music from Sonos, it say “No Selections are Available”.  Like why???????  I go onto Youtube and verify I have hundreds of playlists.  All my other services work. And before someone answers from a Customer Service script and tells me to reinstall everything and reboot my router...no.  Just no.  I want actual advice about why Sonos is not reaching youTube.  Is there a setting in YouTube or is the app just that flawed where I can look forward to playing YouTube via Bluetooth only?  This is wh

Hi folks I have a fairly old Sonos surround system from 2014 (Playbar + sub + play:1).  I added a Connect:Amp to power a turntable and listen to it on the surround system. I want to add a pair of nice floor standing speakers to the setup just for listening to the turntable. I am planning to replace the Connect:amp with the new Amp. I presume the Amp allows easy switching between the home theater setup, the floor speakers, and if I want to stream to other rooms (I have Gen 2 Play:5’s in other rooms) or adding other rooms if I am using the floor speakers in the media room? I might end up driving more complex setups as I upgrade some components but this is where I am planning to start.
