I am trying to set up a refurbished Ray. I have existing Sonos. The unit is not playing a chime and the PIN and there is no pin code on the back of the unit by the connectors. CS don’t have any further advice. I have done a reset. Please help! thanks. 

I changed the router with new vodafone station that Is 2.4/5G. Now it’s impossibile to Connect sonos to the network

I have Three Sonos connect (Gene 2) two have updated successful the remaining one fail to update hence completely fail to connect .When I upgrade it start greet but on finishing setup i get error 30. I have tried all recommendation like changing the Ethernet cable reboot router even put on the location where the working one is but to avail. Any one to advice best way to overcome this.

Hi - I’ve been attempting to switch my Sonos system from wireless to a wired setup, but having a hard time getting my Sonos speaker to communicate with my router via ethernet.My network is this: Soundbar (living room), Play 1 (dining room), Play 1 (studio), One (kitchen), One (bedroom), Beam (upstairs), Sub (upstairs).I’ve been experiencing random speakers dropping audio for some time now (very frustrating), so I’m attempting to just connect one speaker via ethernet to create a wired network.The problem is when I plug my speaker (Play:1 in the dining room) into the router, it turns the port light on my router orange and there seems to be no data transmission. Looking at “About My System” it’s still showing up as “WM: 1” so still connecting via wireless.  I know this is a good router port as I can use other devices on this port with no problem. I’ve tried resetting and re-adding the speaker to my network, and was able to successfully re-add it to my wireless network, but still can’t con

Hi All Im looking at getting the new Sonos Era 100 and im new to all of this.I will set it up using my phone but my question is can it work from a set devise like a firestick, android box etc so when im out the Wife and the kids can still ask Alexa to play certain things. What’s the best way that i can make it housefamily friendly. Like i said im new to this and looking at getting the house eventually Sonos throughout. Thanks

I have the Sonos Controller for Mac V 15.1.1 running on a MacBookPro M1 Max with Ventura V13.2.1.  I can not connect my music library on the laptop to Sonos. What I’ve done to set it up - In System Settings, I have “File Sharing” ON and in Privacy I have “Files and Folders” set to allow Sonos access. Under Sonos Manage/Music Library Settings/ , I select (+), select “Another Folder of Disk Connected To My Computer ”, select my Music folder,  get through all the setup questions, and then I get an error saying “Sonos was unable to add the music folder”.  I have restarted my laptop and Sonos multiple times between setup changes.  But still no connection.  Help!

The main SONOS network in my house is S2 and connects to a music library on my Terastation NAS.  I am using my old S1 Sonos amp in the garage and cannot get it to connect to the same NAS music library.  When I add a new Library on the S1 system, using \\192.168.1.***\Music, I get the invitation to add the user name and password, however after adding the correct UN and PW the response is  - Access to the shared folder “\\192.168.1.***\Music is Denied.   Both the S2 & S1 systems are on the same LAN. Any help would be appreciated. 

We’ve just purchased two Symfonisk bookshelf speakers for use in our coffeeshop. They work great on our wifi, but I’d like to get a dedicated mp3 player to play playlist instead of using a phone or computer.Does anyone have any recommendations for (and luck with) an inexpensive device that can stream through wifi to the speakers? The ability to connect via AirPlay disappears (iPhone 12 pro). Only works for a while after connecting Beam to Wi-Fi, then disappears. Is it a faulty Wi-Fi setting or a defect in Sonos Beam? Everything works fine in the Sonos app.Sonos Beam 2 bought 3 days ago. 

I have a 3tb My Cloud Home NAS with music, videos, and photos. The music was installed (CD rips) via iTunes. I have connected the SONOS app to find the “iTunes Media” folder on the NAS by adding the My Cloud Home as a Music Service (as per guidance on the SONOS site). However, when I now change details in iTunes (e.g. add an album, change artist name, delete an album), the library on the SONOS app isn’t updating.I read a post about recycle bin issues but there is no recycle bin set up on my My Cloud Home.

So just got the Sonos Era 300 and installed the Windows app.Aside from the fact that the Bose app is definitely better, I don't like Sonos collecting my usage data.So I tried turning it off:Open the settings Go to Additional Usage Data Uncheck the checkboxBut there's no save or apply button. So next time I open the settings, it's still checked.I don't think this is legal, and I already find it very dodgy that it's set to enabled by default.Any way to turn this off?

Hi All, I’ve seen several threads re the mute issue with the Beam, but understood that updates would resolve it. We have just bought the new Beam and every time we turn off the TV with the remote, it mutes the bar. If I use the Beam through the Snons App, it is muted to start (from turning off the TV) but when I stop the music, it stays at that volume. It’s not too much of an inconvenience, now that I know what is happening, but I’d like to know why it is defaulting to mute every time.

Hi Sonos, I hope ive got the right place but it's been about a year now I've done the surveys etc and I swear my speaker sets are too old. I play Bluetooth,  I play with line jack cable and also a stereo system. The first two methods are essentially a small pair of C Cell operated Sony 80s speakers designed for a walkman. For me, what is important is the Bluetooth and the line in. Stereo is also important as I grew up on mono and I don't like it. Maybe being spoiled with a B&o is the issue, but I also use cassette, minidisc and cd. The B&o I can record my vinyl to cassette or MD. I used to work in a TV shop and I'm kinda critical of kit be it for me or for the consumer. I was hoping I could beta test a device that I could attach all the devices I use and listen in stereo and in clarity. I have adapted my Sonys to accept Bluetooth by the means of a pcb and regulator - battery. Go buy one, but I have big expectations... Another notable piece of info is I was also a Beta tester fo

I checked if Google assistant is possible to be install to my Sonos beams or not.and I confirmed that it is possible.However, my area(Japan) is still impossible to use Google assistant on my Sonos.Are there any schedule to apply google assistant to Japan?

Every time I try to access the System option in settings, the app just closes.This started happening a couple of weeks ago.App is version 14.20.1Build 70436090Phone is  Google Pixel 3 on Android 12I’ve restarted the phone but it didn’t help. I haven’t yet re-installed the app. 

Hey, I‘m looking to buy a home theater surround system (basically a Beam and 2 Era 100s). I want to know, if I can connect the whole system to my iPad or MacBook, which streams the movie to a wired projector. Edit: The iPad/MacBook both support AirPlay 2. Thanks in advance for your response ! 

Hi all, I've got a pair of Sonos Fives that I'd like to buy stands for. I have a toddler so the speaker needs to be fixed to the stand in some way in case it gets a bump. A heavy base would be good also but I can work around this.I've seen the Flexson stands but they're very expensive here in Australia (approx $400AUD each) and also Sanus but these don't appear to have anything that holds the speaker to the stand.What stand are you using and would you recommend it?

Hi,I was at my friends house and connected to her system. When I returned home and put on music from spotify it started playing in her house over 200km away.  this has also happened in my house once when my friend from another side of town tried playing from her spotify at home. how is this possible since they were not in the same wifi? 

I have various Sonos equipment setup in eight rooms in my home and have been using it with a Boost and Amp wired (SonosNet) for a few years.  It’s good 99% of the time, but when I try to group more than 5 rooms I get a lot of drop-outs.  I have a great Eero mesh system in my home and since the new Era speakers don’t support SonosNet I thought -- why not try it without SonosNet?I used the Sonos App (S2) to add a trusted network, and that process prompted me to unplug the network cable from the Amp.  Eventually I got everything switched over to WiFi -- not as smooth as I had hoped, but it got done.  I powered down the Boost (completely disconnected and unplugged) and everything is working great -- better than before, I can group all of my rooms with no drop-outs, it’s more responsive, etc.  However...in in the Sonos App I still see the Boost!  On the Systems “tab” is shows it with the dreaded “blue dot” / Updating message.  In Settings it also shows that, and when I do “About My System”

Hiim trying to connect my unmarked party decks to my Sonos amp with 2 rca leads, I have turned the amp to line in using the amp but it can’t detect the unit, I’ve tried starting every thing up , then plugging in the rca leads but still no sound and nothing detected, do I need a pre amp many thanks
