Should we expect a more precise Trueplay (advanced tuning) update in S2 app for non-Era products? 

I can’t connect to my SONOS Play 5 via the desktop Mac app, but both iPhone and iPad connect without any issues. Do I need an updated desktop app, or this something else?

I have a Sonos Arc and Sub gen 3 which I've been using successfully for the past year or so.I also have a Beam gen 2 which is newly purchased and today I'm setting it up for the first time.I have moved house and want to set up my Beam with the Sub on a new network.The Beam is connected and working...however the Sub simply will not connect/join the network with the Beam.Ignore the Arc for now, as I am not using it currently.I have tried everything, turning both the Beam and Sub off/on. Turning the router off. Using Ethernet cables. Hard resetting the sub.The app has taken me through so many iterations of setup, but fails to connect.I believe it is something to do with the old network (different house/different Internet network) of Sub/Arc not allowing the Sub to leave and join the new network. As some times during my trying of setup today its showing the Arc and sub and asking what products I want on the new network. Obviously j choose the sub, and every time I try to connect it just sa

Hi, I recently purchased a brand new ikea symfonisk gen 2 lamp. It work great and play music for about 2 hours before it suddenly shut down. I tried plugging it back and the light still work, but the speaker doesn't. I've tried to factory reset it to no avail also. The led indicator on the lamp sometime blink when i plug the power back in but then nothing happen. Can anyone offer a solution or suggestion? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Has anyone found a fix for sound cutting off when streaming BBC radio stations from another source?IE live radio streamed via Roon or Logitech media server the sound will blip off every few seconds , however when played via the Sonos app its fine.However if I use a newer speaker via Airplay I don't have and issues.Is it simply the processing power of these speakers?

Elle reconnaît bien ma voix et me réponse "voici une playlist pour enfant" et puis rien et ce peu importe la demande de musique que je demande.Elle fait comme si elle lançait la musique mais pas de son....  J ai tout remis comme usine puis refait toute l installation. I see there have been questions and issues over the years with accessing Amazon.ca music vs amazon.com . The latest answer is to change the country from US to Canada in my profile - how? I cannot find this anywhere. I did change my date and time to “Saskatchewan” and rebooted everything to no avail. I don’t have Alexa. I just want to listen to my amazon music Canada on my Play 1. Thanks for any help provided.

I’ve been having terrible trouble playing music from my Synology NAS the last few days.It will play a bit of song then cut out, skip to the next, then give up entirely. In the NAS logs it says:Host [192.168.x.x] failed to connect via [SMB] due to [SMB1 not permitted].Reading some older forum posts it says that Sonos now uses SMB2, so why is this error coming up all of a sudden?Is there a way to check if Sonos is using it, or force Sonos to use only SMB2?(incidentally, I tried enabling SMB1 on the NAS temporarily, and it made no difference).

HiI have a Sonos Playbase with Play1 (L+R) stereo pair and a Sonos Sub, I’ve had them since 2017. Recently noticed the sub didn’t appear to be working, although it is powered on and the Sonos setup recognises it as part of the surround sound system, no sound comes out of it.Went through diagnostics technician and they couldn’t see anything wrong. So I tried removing the Sub from the surround setup and added it to a separate pair of Play1(L+R). Success, it worked perfectly. Put it back on the playbase, it is added to the setup, but no sound comes out. Truesound says it can’t hear it either. Playbase recognises it is sending a channel to the sub if I toggle the sub on and off using the switch in the app. Is this a bug with the App or the playbase?Dave

I have changed my network connection to T-Mobile’s 5g gateway. I know Sonos doesn't connect to 5g. I have split my connection to 5g and 2.4g. I connected my phone to the T-Mobile 2.4g network. I used my phone to play music on the Sonos speakers and it worked. However, I am not able to adjust the volume or any other things on the Sonos app. Can this be done? 

I’ve connected Alexa and Alexa speaks through my Beam. Yet when I ask Alexa to play my music it says I need to connect. 

Hi,We have a Beam G2 w/Symfonisks as rear surrounds. We were using them in our bedroom but moved them into our family room for the time being.We used to have another system in the family room. The soundbar was likely not fully reset and I couldn’t figure out how to remove it from my system so eventually I chose the “hide” option that came up just to get rid of it. The rear surrounds that were in there were correctly reset and removed from the app but a month or so later, they just showed up again.I’ve tried probably 20 times to change the name of our current system from Bedroom to Family Room. Every time I save it, it appears to work, and then a bit later, it’s showing up as bedroom again. The system was already TruePlay tuned again for the current space but I need to change the room it’s located in.Is there still a phantom system somewhere in the app? Do I need to entirely reset and remove everything? Do I need to delete my account and start over? Or is there a less drastic way to get

Hello there,My parents gave me their Sonos Play:1, I am currently struggling to connect them on my phone as I have the following error : “Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your Play:1..”, My phone is right to the side of the Sonos and is Sonos is powered on. I try resetting the Sonos and reinstalling the app still not working.Any suggestions ?Thanks,Alex

Complete audio system stoped again unexpectedly again today. Of course it’s a Sonos update.  it’s 2023 shouldn’t the software updates simply limit new functionality until updated not break the whole system, it’s a little ridiculous.  I used to be proud of my Sonos system, the sound quality and speaker arrangement but these days it’s more of just a hassle - a very expensive hassle. Probably wouldn’t be that big of a deal if the software updates were smooth and it just updated like normal software - but instead of I get the same message, “An unexpected error occurred. Please try again late.” Wow thanks.  So not only does the software not work, the whole system is useless until the software does work and/or I go out of my way to trouble shoot some damn new feature that I probably don’t want. Frustrating. 1/5 do not recommend. </frustrated rant> 

Starting a week or so ago non of my old Sonos products work and the S1 app has the add device grayed out.  Any thoughts ?

I rebooted my router as part of routine system maintenance now internet and PC work but lost sonos speakers connection. It was working fine earlier. Help please!

I have Sonos amps and speakers installed throughout the house.  In one room the Sonos Connect is installed so that I can listen to music through my higher-end stereo system.  The Connect is connected to a Pre/Pro controller via a coax cable.  When listening to music though this set up I have to greatly increase the volume on the pre/pro and also have to increase the volume on the Sonos app to get to normal listening levels.  How do I change settings within Sonos so that I don’t have to increase the volume so much?ALSO, and this is the crazy part,  when adjusting the volume I inadvertently turned off my 5 channel power amp but I could still hear the music coming out of my speakers.   How is that possible? If I change the input on the pre/pro to my laptop and use Windows Media Player to play a song and I turn off the power amp there’s no music.Thanks in advance for any help and guidance.

Two days ago my long-standing Google Assistant “Good morning” routine on the Sonos One started telling me that it couldn’t do “that” unless personal results was enabled in Google Assistant for this speaker. I tested and found that it’s referring to the “tell me my reminders” command in the routine. The Google Home app doesn’t offer the “personal results” setting for Sonos speakers, but there is an “enable personal results” setting under Google Assistant settings in the Sonos app, and it was correctly set to enable. But apparently it has stopped working. I checked another non-Sonos speaker that has Google Assistant, and it’s also affected by the same new bug - it has the “personal results” setting enabled, and it no longer works. The “personal results” setting continues to work correctly for Google Home speakers. Google has obviously made a change that kills personal results for all non-Google speakers, either deliberately or as an accidental bug.

Hi, hoping someone can help me here. I got a new tv and arc last week. The arc is connected to the tv ok, occasionally it shows on the app on its own (without me seeing the other speakers) but more often I can see the pre arc system with my speakers in various rooms, but no arc! How do I get everything in the same place so I can get surround sound set up with the arc, play music when tv isn’t on etc? Thanks in advance for your help! Iain    

I have update to 15.2 version. I have an beam connect to mini sub and 2 one sl. The problem is when a commute my surrounds from ambiental to full, the sound don’t change. It is the same. How can i do to work like before?
