chinese apps and sonos

my wife uses some chinese apps like netease.com which don’t appear to work with sonos. does this system only work at the app level? is there a way to send output from a pad or phone regardless of the app being used?

Each ‘streaming company’ adds themselves to the Sonos ecosystem. You may want to have your wife point these companies to the Sonos partners page.

However, depending on what OS she is running, and which particular speakers you have, there are multiple alternate ways of connecting, from Bluetooth on the Sonos Roam or Sonos Move, to AirPlay 2 on Apple devices on most recent Sonos speakers, to setting up a direct link to an internet stream by following the data in the setting up an internet radio station FAQ. And, of course, direct line in available on some Sonos devices….
