What to get

I’m still pretty new to Sonos. I’ve set up two home theaters in my house, one upstairs and one downstairs. Downstairs I have an arc ultra, a mini sub and two era 100s. Upstairs I have a beam, a mini sub and two era 100s. I have a couple of era 300s but I haven’t unboxed yet because I’m trying to decide where I want to use them. I was chatting with a neighbor who told me that she bought some Sonos speakers that were used once for a Super Bowl party, then put back into their boxes, never to be used again. She didn’t really know what kind of speakers she had, but I took a peek and it’s an arc a sub and two Sonos ones. They look and sound perfect. She plans to put them on marketplace for $700 to recoup about half of what she paid, but said she’s let me have them for $450. My questions is whether I can use this equipment with my newer speakers?I don’t need another arc but I could use the Sonos ones in my office, but, having a sub sounds is what has me considering this. Hi AllI am converting a small single bedroom into a dedicated movie watching room and was hoping for some advice as to what would be the optimum setup for the room.TV Size - 65"Viewing distance - 2.0m (6' 6")Room width (minimum) - 2.4m (7' 11")Room width (maximum) - 2.7m (8' 10")Ceiling height - 2.4m (7' 11")Room length - 3.8m (12' 6")I am happy to spend the money on the setup below, but I was wondering if the small size of the room would make it massive overkill:Arc UltraSub Mini2 x Era 300Setup would be as per the image below.So I guess my question is, will I be able to see the full benefits of the Arc Ultra and Era 300s over a Beam Gen 2 and Era 100s in a room this size, or will the very small volume of the room mean that they won't have enough space to work to their full potential?I should also add that I'd happily upgrade to a Sub 4 (or 2 x Sub Minis) if that would be a big improvement, b

Do yall have any recessed speakers that doesn’t require speaker wire to the speakers 

I am starting from a scratch. In one room we have four speaker wires to a central location. In the other room we have two speaker wires to a central location and want to add a sound bar. Where do I start? Sonos is clearly the best. What equipment do I need for a wired system? How much space will I need for any amp or similar? Thank you!

Afternoon all. Have an opportunity (at last) to upgrade a listening room and will be going with ERA 300’s and ARC Ultra.Lots of bracketry options but has been a while since bought any. It’s a room that is going to totally renovated and cosmetics as well as practicalities are important. Interested in your suggestion, recommendations and experience as to what the best looking and functioning white bracketry would be please?I’m keen to all the fitting and messy stuff before the nice purchases later year. So getting the right infrastructure and hardware to sit underneath is useful to do now at the drilling and channelling stage.Appreciate any input and advice you have. Many thanks

Hi, I’m looking for some advice on what system and setup will be best for the space below please.I’m thinking Era 100’s where the green circles are and an Arc for the TV area in the yellow. The 100’s would be a mixture of wall mounted and worktop placed.I’m not keen on the location near the sink, this would be wall mounted above a light switch. I’m concerned how it would look but I’m thinking this would give a better coverage for the island and kitchen with the other speaker across from it than the shelving area. I’m also unsure of the one located by the TV area. I think it would physically become an obstruction.I considered ceiling speakers but have the children’s bedrooms above the main part of the space and have read they do not perform as well as wall mounted speakers.I’m looking to get a good coverage across the main areas of the room, kitchen, island, dining table and TV area for music. I’m not looking to use a surround sound for the TV but w

Hello ! I want to buy Sonos products for my new home that haven’t started yet to be built. I try to anticipate.Please check the image of my plan aht the bottom. For the Home Cinema i will have an “Arc ultra”. I can’t put in ceiling or in wall speakers for the surround, so i’ll have to go for ERA 100/300, so i don’t need to choose right now. And i might never put surrounds. I will go for the SUB MINI. For the dining table area, it will be with a MOVE 2 that i can also carry in the bathroom and outside. Dining table area is not a place where we will listen to music a lot . For the rare occasion of party, i guess the arc ultra + move 2 + in ceiling speakers of the kitchen, it will do the job.And i dont want to add a Sonos amp to have this area by itself. I’m betting this has been asked before but I didn’t know the right phrase to use in the search to find it so I thought I would ask and hopefully this is an easy problem.I’m working on finishing a room and I want to put in-ceiling speakers in it so I can listen to music through services like Spotify.  I think the Sonos Amp is the right product to work with this but the part I can’t figure out is how to integrate Alexa to control the music.I don’t need anything fancy. Just the ability to be in the room and say, “Alexa, play X on Spotify” and the music would come through the speakers in the ceiling.  How could I do that without spending a fortune?  I was going to get a pair of regular in-celing speakers with a Sonos amp hidden in a cabinet to play the music but I can’t figure out the Alexa part without having something like a echo plugged in and out visible.  I’m wanting it to be as simple and as invisible as I can make it.  I thought I was see what some opt

Hello! I already have an Arc and I want to improve the sound in my room. My TV room is really small (13 m²) and asymmetrical;  the TV stands in a corner (I tried to recreate the shape of the room, LOL). Do you think adding a Sub Mini would be effective, or should I upgrade to an Arc Ultra? Thanks in advance! 

Hey guys. I'm renovating my apartment and switching to Sonos.I have a pretty large living room / media space and i wanna make sure i get the speaker placement right. We use it for movies and for hosting. It is an integrated space, which makes things harder.I wanna balance the surround movie experience with the music experience in the other spaces.Which of the following options do you guys think would be better? A:  B: If I do go with the AMP's route, would I be loosing out on Doby Atmos or any other features? Thanks for the help in advance.

Tried to buy the era 100. Not once but twice, first time I didnt sign in and was after playing with klarna was redirected back to my cart after purchase. So the money came out of my bank account but sonos says the purchase did not go through.Second time I signed in with my account, filled in all the information for shipping ect and went to pay with klarna and the purchase went through and it told me to go back to merchant. I go back to sonos and its literally showing the payment for me to pay again?So I was charged not one but TWICE for something that according to sonos is not an actual order. Just being held by my bank. Honestly so frustrated now I have to wait 30 days to get the money back after disputing with my bank. and will miss this sale and am out @ bunch of money for the next bit. Why have klarna as an option if the website is not properly set up? Don't know what to do honestly

Hi,For you, is more interesting to replace my 2 One SL with 2 Era 100 or add sub to existing configuration ?If sub, I can buy sub g2 or it could be more interesting to buy sub mini ?Area is approximatively, 40m2 and I’d listen often music and sometimes action film.Thanks

Hi,I want to purchase the optimal surround setup for my new 65 inch TV.i was thinking Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and era100sHowever my room is only 13 ft * 14ft and read online that the above may over power the room ?Would a smaller sound bar and sub be better or would the Arc and Sub 4 still be the best to buy ?Thanks in advance,Jim 

Hi all, I would need your suggest. I like to listen music on Spotify. My favorite music is trance/progressive/melodic. I know that Spotify doesn’t have Dolby Atoms and so what type of Sonos should I choose? Maybe Era 300 could be useless. What do you thing? Thanks in advance.

Hey Sonos fam,Quick sanity check before Christmas.My mom wants Sonos speakers for her kitchen. The room is roughly 5 x 10 meters, open, fairly lively acoustics. Mostly used for music while cooking, hanging out, not critical listening.We have a fixed gift budget. That leaves me with two realistic options:•    Two Era 100s (stereo pair)•    One Era 300Two Era 300s would be ideal, sure, but that’s outside what we agreed on.My dilemma:Stereo separation and room coverage vs. the spatial / fuller sound of a single Era 300. I’m leaning toward the two Era 100s for balance and coverage, but I’m not sure if one Era 300 would actually outperform them in a room this size, especially without a second one.Anyone here with real-world experience in a similar space?Not looking for specs, more for lived experience.

Hello,I have started to plan my speaker setup for my living room. Instead of a TV I am gonna have a projector since there is the perfect wall for it. I don’t own any Sonos products yet so I don’t know their limitations and so on.Problem is that the projector is gonna be about 3 meters up in the ceiling 6 meters away from a wall. I don’t want to pull any cables from my projector and all the way to the soundbar (if I’m gonna have a soundbar) so I’ve been thinking about using a Sonos AMP instead with HDMI ARC.If it turns out that I would like to use a soundbar, can I use the Projector and connect it to the Sonos Amp and wirelessly play on the soundbar? Or could I create my own 5.1 system using Eras?Or… Is there a better way to do this. At one point I had an idea about using the Ray as a connection point for multiple Eras but that seems to be hard to make it work since it’s designed to be a master? or am I missing something. I hope someone can s

I have a fairly unique use case and I’m having trouble finding the right solution. Application: A mobile (portable) campervan setup, audio will be transmitted mostly via Airplay 2/Bluetooth from a portable projector and the content will majority be streamed TV shows with compressed audio. Van is appromately 150sf in it’s entirety but speaker would be placed directly in front of viewers, mounted at ear level and at about a 4’ distance away. Viewing will all be indoors. Goal: A portable, easy to setup/take down, speaker(s) that can do a decent job presenting dialogue and a decent cinema experience when necessary.I realize there aren’t any single (or at worse 2) speakers that are going to reproduce anything close to a home theatre experience so I’m going for the best I can get.Speakers I’ve looked at;Sonos Beam Gen 2Sonos Move 2Sonos Era 300Sonos FiveSonos Era 100 (pair) I’ve only heard in person the Beam Gen

Hi. I want to install a Sonos system at my office. I need (1) speaker (it doesn’t matter the type) at front desk and (3) ceiling speakers in 3 different rooms. All (4) speakers will reproduce the same music from the same source, but I want to be able to control the volume individually in each room. What is your recommendation? 

I’m unsure whether the Beam or Arc would be better for my apartment. I don’t want to bother my neighbors. My living room is about 15 feet wide (though one side only has a partial wall with the kitchen extending another 10 feet, if that matters for sound wave reflection). My couch is about 8 feet from the tv. The room extends another 12 feet beyond that, where I have a dining room table. There is another 10 foot room after that to reach the wall I share with my neighbor. The wall the tv is on is at the end of the building, so no neighbor there, nor above me. If possible, since it’s one big room, I would like to also use the soundbar for background music while sitting at the dining room table. Given the large extra cost if I get the Arc, I’m unlikely to get anything else; if I get the Beam, I’d consider a couple Era 100s for rear speakers (not sure if those could be used as regular speakers for the dining table when not using them for a movie).  I’m not an

Recently replaced our standard TV with HD projector in our living room.  Looking for speakers that would provide a surround sound and at a loss in comparing the Sonos products.  Anyone have Sonos they use with their home projector? 

I have an Arc with two SL1s I see that Sonos have specials for the large woofer. My question is which is the most compatible for Arc. I understand that Sub 4 is best for Arc Ultra but mine is the first gen Arc. Also Costco have Sub 3  special price of $779 and Sonos have Sub 4 for $719. I assume the more I add on the greater the home theatre experience is. 

I listen to music occasionally ; thinking of ERA 100 to replace Gen 1 in my den. I have another Gen1 on my outdoor patio that will remain. Would I hear a difference?
