When I have my Era 100 connected to my TV and I shut it off for the night, the Era 100 continues to make the chirping noise like it is trying to connect via bluetooth. It effectively does this until I unplug it. What am I missing here? 

How do I change back to TV from music with the Sonos app?

The Sonos Android app on my phone and Windows desktop app can only see about 20% of my entire YouTube Music library and I’m not sure why. This hasn’t always been an issue, and I would really appreciate some help with this.Context:When I first bought into the Sonos network, I purchased a pair of One SLs and began playing music through my personal library on my phone. I primarily listen to music with downloaded files through the default Samsung media app, and at the time the Sonos Android app could see these files as well. Everything worked great for a few years and I got a Play:5 (Gen 2) speaker during that time to add to my system as well.Earlier this year, there was a notice from Sonos saying that the app could no longer read downloaded files on Android phones, but provided solutions to work around this. Hi, two questions.Do I have to buy the amplifier to run outdoor speakers, or will they connect to my Sonos app via WIFI like my other speakers? Can I control their volume separately to my other SONOS speakers? Ie I might want outside speakers to be louder or quieter than the inside speakers based on ambient noise and time of day….

HelloI’m a bit puzzled by an issue which started just few days ago (can’t pinpoint exactly when).I’ve been using Sonos Voice Control since it’s been released on a Sonos Roam and Sonos One to stream from my Apple Music, and it’s been working perfectly fine.Then suddenly, when requesting a specific song, I started to see error in the app “Unable to play song xxx, file not encoded correctly”, and nothing plays.The song is recognised and added properly to the queue, but can’t play. Pressing play button in the app at that stage gives the same error.If I then try to search the same song through the app and play it, it works perfectly fine. So it’s really just when finding the song through voice assistant that it doesn’t work.If there’s nothing in the queue to start with and I just say “Hey Sonos, play music” (so nothing specific), it starts playing from my “station” and it works well… I tried to remove Sonos Voice Assistant and re-add it, I tried to remove Apple Music and re-add it, I tried

Is there any documentation?  I’m pushing the 65K track limit (65705).  All my tracks are in one foloder on a nas organised by artist and album name. I am using MediaMonkey 5.  Does the library indexing start at A and index the files up to Z?  I can see artists from the start and end of my collection. Also I ran the update on my PC and it came up with a message suggesting I remove some playlists.  Are the files in playlists included in the 65K limit?  I am tempted to move all my christmas tunes into a separate folder and just add that at christmas.  Also I have a punk album with 100 tracks.  That is probably wasting 8 normal albums worth of space.

I’m a little frustrated by the Sonos experience. Perhaps I am a relic of the past, but I’m not a streaming music customer, per se. Yes, I occasionally stream music from a service, but I most often listen to music from my own vast library via PlexAmp.I will launch PlexAmp, connect to a Sonos speaker/group and initiate play from PlexAmp. I might start adding songs to the queue, rate a song, etc. What is frustrating is that, at some point soon after initiating play, (maybe when my phone goes to sleep?) it is clear that PlexAmp is no longer playing and any changes to the queue, etc. are not reflected in what is continuing to play from Sonos. I have to launch the Sonos app to further control my music, but with the limited functionality that the Sonos/Plex relationship offers.Is there any way to prevent this happening? I’d like to use PlexAmp to maintain control of my music playback/queue/rating of music. If this cannot be maintained, could there be more functionality added to the Sonos app

I understand that the Era 300 is not compatible with SonosNet but what is not clear to me is if I have them set as surrounds with an ethernet connected Sonos Arc do they use SonosNet to connect to the Arc or some other wireless connection with the Arc? If it’s SonosNet does that mean I can’t have the Arc connected to Ethernet if I’m using the Era 300 as surrounds?

Given the frequent complaints from Sonos community about Sonos Move Battery life, question is : “Will Sonos move 2 battery be compatible with original Sonos move?”

I would like to add speakers to a gazebo.  If i put the amp in the house and run speaker wire to the gazebo (we have an unused conduit already in place), it will be at least 150 feet of speaker wire, probably closer to 200.  Obviously, I’m concerned about power loss over that length of run.  So, I’m wondering about two other options:Put a connect in the house and run RCA, digital coax, or toslink digital to an outdoor rated amp mounted in the gazebo.  If this is the better route to go, which of those 3 connection types would be the best option?  And does anyone have recommendations for a good outdoor amplifier? Just moved into new property and it has Sonos s1 s2 system. I have managed to download apps set up , but can’t connect as previous owners have a  old sign in and password word pc still on it and I can’t access it . How do I set this up for my own use

When I try to play from Apple Music and use AirPlay to my Sonos/IKEA Symfonisk speaker, the sound stops after one second.This happens on both my MacBook Pro and iPhone X. When using the Sonos app on my iPhone, it works fine. However, it means that I can’t play from my MacBook and have to manage music in 2 different apps.I tried updating all apps and rebooting all systems multiple times. The wifi connection is strong. Sometimes (1 out of 20?) times I'm able to stream from Apple Music directly, but that’ll only work for a little while.Does anyone experience the same? How can I fix this? Is there an app for Mac that would allow me to play Apple Music to my speaker?

I’m looking to install 4 sonos ceiling speakers into a living/dining room, powered by one amp. The ceiling is sloped (single slope, shed roof style). The room is 25’ L x 17’ W. The slope runs along the long wall.My question is around placement and options for balancing the sound. Two options:Have all 4 speakers at the same height about 1/3 of the way up the slope. With the slope pitch, this would have the speakers face into the middle of the room. The speakers would not be so much left/right of the listener, more coming from one direction but at least all at the same height. Have 2 speakers at 1/3 way up the slope and another two directly in line with those at 2/3 up the slope. A more standard quadrant setup. However, they would not be at the same height. The issue here is how I’d control the balance of the higher vs closer speaker on the pitched ceiling. Would Trueplay be able to balance the height differences? Recently upgraded to Sonos2.  Purchased Arc, 3 ones and play 5 to upgrade system. I have a One that is hard wired Ethernet to use network (supposedly to improve connectivity).  Now (daily) several rooms are missing from my system, some speakers are unresponsive.  I have installed, rebooted, factory reset and re-setup entire system almost daily.  Rebooting my router etc works, but am I really going to have to do this every day?  Worried I made a mistake purchasing the several-thousand dollar unreliable system.  My old system on Sonos1 was flawless and reliable for years.  PLEASE HELP! Before I throw the entire system away for Bose.

Did I can use Sonos Sub  gen 3 on his own or I need another speaker ?  

Can anyone tell me if there is a compatible third-party power cord that is longer than the one that comes with the Era 300 out of the box? Need to hide the cables and cannot use a standard extension cord with the cable management system that I’m using. Much appreciated….

Hi, first time here.I have a problem when trying to play a radio station with Google Assistant on a Sonos One.Trying to play “SR P3” a swedish radio station through the voice command “Hey Google, play P3” and it worked without a problem until 1 month ago but now it only starts a spanish radion show without the text “P3” in the title. It works without problem on my phone and open the right radio station in TuneIn.I have tried to unlink and link TuneIn and also tried using it with out TuneIn-account synced to my Sonos. Searched the forum but couldn’t find any problem like this, or maybe my search was bad.Does anyone have som idea what the problem can be?

Hi, my 2 sonos ones are not visible in the sonos 2 app. They have always worked and been paired for stereo. The app says no sonos on network. If I log into my tp link router I can see speakers are connected. Also I can still use Google assistant and play songs on Spotify. I can see the speaker on the spotify app. So annoying. 

Good afternoon.After upgrading Sonos One SL, a problem arose, and now audio only appears two seconds after the audio stream has started. Now it's absolutely impossible to watch movies using Sonos One SL. The sound lags behind the image by 2 seconds. If I pause the video, the sound continues for approximately 2 seconds.I searched the forum and found recommendations to switch to uncompressed. This did not solve the problem in any way. In addition, I saw a recommendation to use the Line-in menu. But there is no such option on Sonos One SL. Hello there, I have been using the beam gen 2, later on added the symfonisk picture frame around 2 meters behind me for a better surround sound and yesterday I got the sub mini but I'm confused as to what the recommended settings for all of them together would be in my case. I mainly use them for metal/rock music (and movies of course) as I have it connected on my desktop pc so I'm standing right in front of the beam. "Sadly", I use android and so does every person in my circle so I can't calibrate the speakers with trueplay. The room where the speakers are, is medium sized. Also, does the positioning of the sub mini matter? I have it pretty close to the beam and have them both paired together instead of the symfonisk. 

I’ve been banging my head against a brick wall trying to setup a new Sonos system in my RV using two Sonos Roams.  I already have a home system (two Sonos Beams & four Sonos Ones) and have connected to a separate system at work (two Sonos Fives) so thought it would be no bother.  How wrong I was!The problem seems to be that when creating a new system when you get to the part where the speaker gets connected to the Wi-Fi network the app tells it to connect to the Wi-Fi network of the existing system, not the one you’re connected to and are trying to set it up on.  This happened to me on both Android and iOS and using the same account as my home system and with a new account I setup fresh.I finally found a way round it by using a spare device that had a fresh install of Sonos that hadn’t connected to any other Sonos system before.  But that took a while as the first two device I tried were too old and the OS wasn’t supported (iOS 12 and Android 7).  So after two days of trying I fina

Hi all!I have à problem with my sonos setup. when I install it every room can be find, and I can group them in my sonos app (S1) I only use spotify to play music in my speakers. but after awhile they will dissepear from the sonos app. I can still find them in Spotify app. But nowhere to be found in the sonos app. As u can see in the pictures its the ”WC +2” speakers that dissepear from the sonos app.         

I moved a sonos one from the kitchen to a kids bedroom and changed the name as such. But it keeps reverting to kitchen. Any idea how to fix this?

I have a problem where there isn’t any sound at all from youtube app.  I have a samsung tv and an arc soundbar.  It looks like the app may have bee updated on 8/30/2023 which is about when the sound stopped.  I can get sound by unplugging the tv and going directly to youtube app.  If I leave the app and come back, no sound.
