Hello all, My current music systems consist of: Deezer Family Subscription2x pre-digital hi-fi separates systems, both with tape loops, one with a turntable, the other with a minidisc playerSonos Roam I’ve been trying to tease out how best to link these all together. 2x Ports would peg me with roughly £800 costs, so I’ve started looking at 2x Connect Gen 2 instead, for £300ish. I understand that they’ve been discontinued and I’m avoiding Gen 1s and have read about the S1/S2 split. The Roam, bought new, is the only experience I have of Sonos. If I buy used Connect Gen2s, will there be any non-obvious gotchyas around adding them to my sonos account or their usage, or do I simply reset them and they will behave as you’d expect with new gear?

I have installed 14 zones in a large custom home. Each zone consists of the following setup:Sonos Port → DEA 704D Amp → JBL Pro Control 322C (x4)I have had a slight buzz in all the speakers, some zones very subtle and some zones extreme. I have tried everything from grounding the rack, ground loop isolators, changing cables, checking software upgrades, changing breakers, outlets, etc … I even considered installing an entirely new breaker box to separate the audio equipment from the rest of the house.Then I discovered when I change the source of the audio from the Sonos Port to direct cables to my iphone NO BUZZING.  I installed a Sonos Connect Series II and NO BUZZING.  The internet search shows similar issues and dissatisfaction with the Port having noise. I would prefer to use the Port due to is having more features than the Connect, mainly the dual mono option. Does anyone know if there is a fix to the noise and/or a newer version of the Port coming out? Thank you. 

Hello everyone.  I purchased a sonos bean gen 2 only 3 months ago and suddenly the speaker stopped working with the TV and only works when I watch Netflix or Amazon Prime.  No sound comes out if I'm using any of the tvs apps I even tried connecting a laptop via HDMI but nothing.  I reset the speaker and reinstalled it but the problem remains.Any idea how to fix this before I send it back and ask for a warranty replacement? Thank you!

So it’s an odd scenario. I’ve got my Sonos One SL in the kitchen on volume 30. It sounds a little low to me, but as soon as I connected it to my Living Room (LR) Play 1 speaker (even if that LR speaker volume is at 0), the volume in the kitchen is significantly louder, even though it remains at 30 level on the controller? It’s almost as if the volume was incorrect to begin with until I then connected it to another.Any ideas why?

I realized my Sono One SL is not playing anything either on musics or movie.I reset the One SL and it works perfectly when it’s on the stereo speaker.but when I try to pair it with my beam for surround sound, it’s shows not connected after successful paired with beam.I tried two times resetting and it’s the same…Does anyone having the same issue?

The issue: I have been an extensive SONOS user for many many years (UK based) and used to get my BBC Radio service via the TuneIN service. It always worked fine. Recently the “old” TuneIN service became unsupported and the new service no longer has the BBC national radio stations (even with subscription). So I tried to use the SONOS radio app and whilst I can find BBC Radio 2, for example, it will not play. I now understand that due to licensing issues, the only way to get BBC national radio stations in the UK is via the BBC Sounds service. So I installed that and indeed can access the radio stations. BUT, the audio level on all of these stations is at such a low level compared to all other sources that it is almost inaudible. If I switch from my Apple Music service to the BBC radio station I have to increase the volume from 25% to 100% on the speakers and even then it can only just be heard, totally unacceptable and unusable in reality.When I use the BBC sounds app on iPadOS or on Sky

On the Android Sonos app that is paired with Soundtrack Your Brand when trying to play selected item from Soundtrack Your Brand Sonos app says “Unable to play the selected item”.Tried restart of apps and repairing.Please advice on how to fix this.

I have a Samsung TV and a Beam Speaker.   When I turn on the TV, the Sonos App on my iPhone no longer recognizes that the TV is on and I am unable to control the TV (Beam) volume with my iphone Sonos App. I am still able to use my Samsung remote to adjust the Beam volume, but I prefer to use my iphone Sonos App to adjust the volume .  How do I get my iphone Sonos App to recognize that the TV is on? I already checked Settings on the Sonos app, and “TV Autoplay” is turned on. I tried turning the TV Autoplay on and off, and I tried turning off and on my iPhone, but this did not help . 

I am trying to connect my projector sonos beam gen 2 but there’s no sound output from projector. Need help 

More of my Play 5 speakers have lost their wireless capability. After about two years the first Play 5 speaker lost its wireless capability and we had to purchase a power line extender to make it work. Now after another two years the other two Play 5 speakers in a different room have now lost their wireless capability and I will have to purchase two more powerline extenders and a hub so I don’t run out of Ethernet ports. Whilst Sonos sounds great the quality of the wireless components inside these very expensive speakers is obviously of a poor quality and not something we expect when paying top dollar for good speakers. So to all out there considering buying Sonos just take tis into consideration. Other than that the sound is unbeatable when operating properly.

I am trying to get Sonos S2 running on macOS version 10.11 (El Capitan). The current macOS controller app, version 15.2, simply crashes on startup.I note from this page https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/release-notes-for-sonos-s2 that it requires macOS 10.12 which explains the crash. It would seem that I require Sonos S2 15.1, the final release that supports macOS 10.11. However, I can’t find a way to download previous versions of the app - is it possible?I have another Mac that still has Sonos S2 version 14.19, so I copied that over. That runs but insists that it must be updated. I can’t find a way to just make it run and work with my system, despite it still working fine on the other Mac.So… is there any supported way to run Sonos S2 on El Capitan now?

i purchased the sonos arc SL i am looking for suggestions on where to place the sonos gen 3 subwoofer.. my room is about 21x20. Would it do better behind the sofa or near the ARC itself? Or is it best to move it around? These may seem like dumb questions but i have never owned a subwoofer before or a quality speaker for that matter. So i thought i would ask people who might know.

I have a Sonos 1 and I am pretty happy with it.  I just bought a used 3 and I can't get it to connect my system.  I get to the point where it wants me to push my mute button to make the final connection and it never connects. I'll hold my finger on the mute button it will quick flash 3 or 4 times in a row then go back to regular flashing green and white at the same time. I even turned off my firewall thinking that might help. 

Why does my move keep disappearing off my app ? Also have to factory re set to bring it back.My move also drops in & out of music.It's not moved when this happens. 

Well, I’m not a huge fan of change but, I’m in the midst of it since we upgraded my wife’s iMac recently. Her’s was running El Capitan (don’t judge me) because… it worked for what she/we used that computer for.I simply copied the 38GB Sonos library folder to a Crucial SSD drive and then ejected It from the old iMac and plugged it into one of the new iMac’s Thunderbolt ports. I planned on leaving that SSD plugged into the new iMac and redirect the Sonos S2 app’s path to that folder. No such luck. I wasn’t allowed to do it. After much frustration, I reformatted the drive while plugged into the new iMac and dedicated it as her Time Machine drive. (note: the Sharing/Permissions rigamarole didn’t really have an effect on creating access)My question is: IF I purchase a new SSD, format it while connected to the new iMac and then add the Sonos folder to it, do you think I can create the new path for the Sonos app to connect to it? I feel much of the problem lies with Apples OS but, I’m an old

Hi, we just got our Sonos port working with our Sony str-az3000es through the “works with sonos” option and can make the receiver turn on, go to the right input, and play music using the sonos app but are wondering if there’s a way to make the receiver turn off using the app? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks

my sonos volume turns up too loud when i turn the television, I would like to set the volume on my sonos to when I turn the sonos on it is at the last set volume when I turned the Sonos off 

Ok, called customer services today and was on the phone for a hour trying to resolve and was unable to, all of a sudden Alexa has stoped working on my one, went into the app and a voice assistant was not loaded on, went through the first steps of adding voice assistant after selecting Alexa I get a spinning loading wheel then the message “there was a problem starting Amazon alexa, make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi. done the usual uninstalling/ reinstalling apps and factory reset my speaker and still the same. Any ideas?!

Hey lovely community, I just became a proud owner of a Beam Gen 1, my first Sonos product!! Wayoo! 🤩I got it to connect to my Samsung TV (not sure which model, but lets say around 5 years old) through HDMI ARC. I use a Chromecast TV on it with the chromecast remote because the Samsung is smart but not super smart (lacks some apps and remote is half broken). The sound works great, however the volume controls do not seem to work. I control the volume on my chromecast remote since the volume alider on my Samsung remote is broken, however the Chromecast remote is connected to the TV (i.e the volume interface is Samsungs). Sorry for the long explanation but does anyone know a fix to this? Any help is super appreciated! ❤️

I just got two sonos move to add my the sonos ray and the sub mini….the sound is terrible, it keep dropping outit interrupt all the time…i have to setup the sound of my moves lower than the ray+sub mini….is it normal?i wish i could return em and get the moves 2 but its been 2 months alreadyi cant even charge the speakers with my MacBook pro,chargerim very mad…..i need help with hte sound cuts

I have a W11 laptop which has my playlist on it.  I would like to export that playlist to my Samsung S22 Ultra.  I cant work out how to do that :(.

Are the Era 100 and the Sonos Move speakers capable of handling Dolby Atmos content?

why when I install my sonos everything is done My Spotify plus amazon le.spotify connection is on the sonos app too. and when I ask to play spotify it always tells me that I'm offline. what am I doing wrong. it worked for a long time and after a change of router it no longer works. THANKS
