I have 1 Beam and 2 Ones, should I connect the beam with ethernet? I can not connect the 2 Ones with ethernet as there is no way to get the wires across the room

In surround mode BEAM will communicate with the ONE’s using a private 5GHz link. If you are using the ONE’s as simple stereo speakers, BEAM will support the ONE’s via a SONOS private mesh network.

Ether way, BEAM will wirelessly support the ONE’s. You don’t need to bother with any details.

Whatever you do, do not disable the ‘WiFi’ on the Beam. It does no such thing. It disables the private 5GHz link for surrounds, and the SonosNet private mesh network.
