I’ve come to own a Playbar and several Sonos One speakers for free through a friend. I was thinking of adding a Sub mini but I am worried about the life spans of these products. Sonos claims they will support products for 5 years after end of sale dates.Sonos seems to have stopped selling playbar around 2020 So that’s already 3 years. If I buy a sub mini I would be buying into an ecosystem with only 2 years left on the Playbar? (I can’t find end of sale dates for Sonos One).Just want to confirm if my understanding / math is correct here. And to find out the end of support day for Sonos One speakers. P.S.: I’m new here so apologies if this info is easily available.

I just set up my new era 300 and tried to run quick tuning. I received an error that stated that it was not supported on my iPad Pro 12.9” 6th gen.I wanted to do a quick tuning which uses the microphone on the era 300 but there’s no way to initiate it. Has anyone else had this problem and have a possible resolution?

I have a few speakers grouped and only some are playing. The troubling issue is the controller looks as if all are playing but many - including part of a sub/era 100 pair - have no audio. I have stopped and restarted playback with no luck. This occurs while playing a station from Amazon Music (basic access w/Prime membership) and on a Sonos Era 100 + Sub, a Move 1, a Roam 1, a Play:3 and Symphonisk picture frame speakers all grouped. Diagnostics no. 1636438787

Dear community,My family consists of me (father), my wife and my two sons. We have SONOS speakers all over the house, among them Play One’s in my kid’s rooms. We all have the SONOS S2 app installed on our individual iPhones, and each of us is logged into his or her own respective account of Apple Music Family, also being logged in to each one’s individual account of the Apple Music Family service on each one’s SONOS app. The SONOS system is registered to me.Obviously, we want to prevent that our four different music tastes are mixed. All works fine as long as the (Apple Music or SONOS) apps are used. Even when started by everyone’s SONOS app, the library, “recently played” section and music suggestions on the Apple Music accounts do not mix, it’s all allocated to the right account.Now enter voice control. Hi, Looking for some help with getting sound via my Roam connected to my turntable.  This is the setup I’m using: Rega Turntable > Pro-Ject Phono Box E BT 5 via RCA cables > Sonos Roam SL over bluetooth.. The issue I have is that it pairs successfully but I get no sound via the Roam.  I can confirm there is no issue with the pro-ject preamp, it works OK if I connect a different speaker to it via bluetooth.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Is it perhaps a codec issue? Thanks

I have bought a Sony TV for the kitchen and as it has a pretty decent picture I thought I might add a Ray. The TV has only ‘arc HDMI’ or optical out,  so I wondered whether there might be a lip sync problem when feeding the audio from my SKY Q box ‘via’ the TV.I previously did have a lip sync problem with a similarly arc equipped Samsung TV and Beam. The audio from the SKY Q satellite box was slightly delayed ( lip sync problem ) but TV apps’ audio, direct from the TV into the Beam was fine.  Thanks in anticipation…..Tom

Hi!i’ve a playbar, a sub and 4 play one speakers.The playbar is connected to my Sony tv with optical cable because The playbar doesn’t have arc input.i’ve created my sourround system room with sub, soundbar under tv and 2 play one on my back. In order to add the other 2 play one as left & right channels i’ve created a new room and i’ve made a Group with the two rooms.The PROBLEM is that when i turn up and down the volume using the remote control of my tv the play one L&R doesn’t change the volume.is it possible to connect the L&R speakers in the same room of sourrond system?  kind regardssimone

Hello All, I have a BT Home Hub 2 and four BT Whole Home Discs. Sonos signal is poor upstairs and Wi-Fi is cluttered with to many devices. I want to introduce a Sonos Boost. Where should I put the device in the house and what should I connect it to please?

I have more than 20 Sonos speakers finally working together in our home. For a vacation rental next week I’d like to take a couple of speakers for use there.  I have one Move and know that w its Bluetooth, I could easily use that without messing with any rental WiFi matters. Does the Move provide a means to incorporate additional Sonos speakers? Or is it the usual process of taking an Ethernet cable and hoping for success w the rental’s router?Would a « travel router » be a good idea to purchase and take with us?And lastly, if we set up a new Sonos network at the rental, will that negatively affect out home’s network when we return and set up our speakers to work again with the residence setup?

Sooo Frustrated; Plz Help?Sonos Roam stopped playing sound..While I could connect/disconnect, & speaker would make connection sounds- no music nor media would play..Checked Bluetooth device settings connection on phone= Everything correct & ph said connected/playing sound thru speaker..(It wasn't)1st tried to turn off & on=Reconnected/Disconnect sounds, but still no sound thru speaker..I unpaired on phone, disconnected from powersourse, turned speaker off & on=Wht light blinking, but Bluetooth Scan could no longer find speaker..*I completed factory reset.. etc.I'd turn it on, white light would blink, then eventually green light blink & stay blinking*Held down power for 2secs to put into pairing, but could Not get into pairing mode??(No blue blinking light)..Tried to hold down power for 5secs & wait for "chime"= Sonos no longer makes ANY sounds @ All..Although appears to still shutdown after 5secs..Tried Factory reset again, tried everything I can think or find,

Hi!I have a Play:1 speaker that was connected to my record player a Connect Gen 2 which has stopped working. I’m on a budget and want to replace it, does it need to be a Gen 2 Connect or would a Gen 1 work? Thanks so much!  

So I’m posting this on behalf of a family member who is at an apartment complex and unable to get 2 1st gen Sonos Ones to connect to the “community Wi-Fi” they have. And by that, I mean it’s run by a company called Pavlov Media, and you have your login where you have to add your device‘s MAC addresses into their portal in order for the device to get working Wi-Fi.He used the MAC address under the unit / on the box, but neither Sonos One is able to connect to the Wi-Fi network. I then wondered if this MAC address is the wired connection MAC address? How can we find the Wi-Fi MAC address of the Sonos One if we can’t get the Sonos One to connect to Wi-Fi without it? (i.e. we need to be able to add the Wi-Fi MAC address into the Pavlov Wi-Fi device portal)I found a few other threads on Reddit of people who had trouble getting this Sonos speakers to connect to community Wi-Fi setups like this. No solution from what I can tell.

Error message shows on -apparently- random songs, system plays some songs and artist without problems but some others such as “sofia” from Alvaro Soler and “Build a Fire” from the Magician, Clew &Prov it pauses and shows the message. The songs plays well from the youtube music app and when I cast it to a google speaker. The system that I am currently using is a Sonos one

My Sonos Connect can see songs on my iTunes library but to play them I have to slect and play . When I try to play a play list or artist from the library I get the ‘’Unable to add songs to the queue” This is not a problem with my Sonos Play or my Connect Amp .thanks for any ideasBrendon

The volume of the Move is very low. I can't increase it. It used to be twice as loud. I use it with iPnone and iPad. Moderator edit: changed “Move One” to “Move” to avoid confusion (Move or One?)

I have 3 Ikea speakers gen 1 (s2) and an Connect:Amp (s1). I would really love to use all in the s1 app. But I can’t downgrade the speakers. I’ve tried everything:resetting the speakersresetting/rebooting routerupdating aps, delering them, rebooting the phoneBut the downgrade fails again and again.Is it posibly at all? And if it is, what am I doing wrong?

Guys, we own an LG OLED65W9PLA wallpaper TV but are not impressed with the sound we are getting from the LG soundbar. The wallpaper TV is 3mm thick (or so) and therefore all the connections are built into an external device that also houses the speakers and Dolby Atmos system (the “connection bar”). We run the TV in a large room (something like 80 sqm) that opens up open plan style into an entrance area and a corridor. The floor is entirely stone tiles with two large carpets, but acoustically I think this environment is a challenge. We have not really been satisfied with the sound we are getting from the speakers in the LG connection bar and are thinking of replacing it with a Sonos system. However, as the LG soundbar also functions as the external domain for the TV electronics and connections, we cannot physically remove it and replace it with a Sonos soundbar - it would need to stay.We are thinking of installing some solution involving the Arc soundbar, one of the “immersive sets”. Hi , I bought a Ray so I could group music in my tv room and my kitchen but I seem to be having issues . In the system screen - I only ever see on device - If kitchen is there ray isnt . Both devices are contronllable by the App but only if the other is turned off . Am I missing something ? I have tried to use the Play button on the devices but this doesnt help group them  All help welcome  

Hi all,I’m tryIng to use the Onkyo / Sonos connection to send sound from a TV to another room. The Onkyo and Sonos networks are connected via WiFi, hard wiring is not an option. While I can configure the system to play back the TV output sound from the Onkyo to Sonos Connect 2 and then to Sonos Play 1 speakers, there is one problem. There’s a transmission delay built in, causing the sound in room 2 to be about 0,7 seconds behind the source room. It sounds like a stadium PA to put it charitably. I have been told this is a digital delay (buffering) built into the system. Understandable, but drives me mad. This transmission delay only exists with sound from the TV (Sony 4K using HDMI Arc connnection to the Onkyo receiver). CDs, DVDs and LPs(!) all work fine. Ditto streaming & internet radio services.On a previous (Onkyo) receiver I used the Tape In / Tape Out analog ports and had no difficulties with this. Anybody have a nice hack? HiI invested Sonos Beam Gen 1 one year ago for my PC (I use a sound card to connect beam with my PC). It worked smoothly for 3 months and after it doesn’t work anymore. I thought maybe the soundcard had a problem but I tried another and it had no sound coming out of the Beam. I tried to change Sonos optical audio adapter but it gave me the same results as previous attempts. I don’t know what is happening with my Beam.  

My Ray doesn’t seem to work with a Samsung TV 3D LED 46" UE46C7000WP. The tv doesn’t have the same optical audio plug of the ray (TOSLINK) but rather a mini TOSLINK, so I bought an adapter on Amazon but the Ray won’t work still. I have tried to play with settings (and of course selected external audio on the TV) but it won’t play still.The ray works with airplay on my Apple TV so that’s definitely not the problem. Any idea how to fix? Is is the tv too old (I guess it’s about 10 years old)Thanks!

I can't turn off my Port status light. The problem started with an earlier software - maybe 15.4, and was corrected in 15.7. Now the problem is back with 15.7.1.  I've tried rebooting the Port, router and iPhone. Any suggestions?

I stream good-quality 320 kbps MP3 music files from a Synology DS120j to a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) with Sub Mini using the Sonos app. We are full-time RVers, but when we had a house I used all FLAC files via a Logitech Squeezebox Duet, a good class A/B amplifier, and some high-end transmission line speakers. Obviously, there’s not room for that stuff in the RV! Anyway, I’ve recently learned that replay gain can be applied to files to even out the volume levels of the listening experience. I’ve downloaded Foobar2000 and explored the replay gain function, but I’m not completely clear on file vs. album (and whether or not “album” can mean every file on the server) replay gain - and some of the numbers from the analysis don’t look right to me. Can the group enlighten me on this topic - how to go about it and the pros/cons? I have recordings dating from the ‘60s to the present… folk, folk-rock, some eclectic stuff, and all the way up to contemporary artists and recordings - but no classical. Jus
