HiI recently upgraded to Sonos Arc, Sub and Era 300’s from Playbar, sub and Sonos One.  The Playbar and Sonos One set up worked on all TV channels.Now when watching Foxtel I only get sound on some channels.  HD Free to air channels work but SD don’t.  Some Foxtel channels work but not all of them.I’ve tried playing around with sound settings on both the TV and Foxtel box to no avail.Arc connected to HDMI ARC and Foxtel connected through HDMI.  TV Sony 65X8500D. 

I have installed Sonos 15.10 but my Sonos Mac software says I have another update available. On trying to install, everything just stops and I need after 20 minutes or so, to force-quit.I using Sonoma 14.1.1I had this issue on the last update and someone from Sonos provided a direct download link which worked. Grateful for any help please ? Thx Mike 

So I currently have a sonos beam (gen 1) and soon to add two symfonisk picture speakers as rears, plus a (gen 1) sub.In the same room, I have an existing, old 5.1 setup, which is 3 KEF motorised ceiling speakers, two rear ceiling speakers of unknown make, a KEF PSW3500 subwoofer and a DENON AVR-2807 amp.What I am trying to work out is whether I could replace the amp with some kind of sonos amp and link it all together for some sort of mega super duper dolby atmos 7.1 or better system?I doubt both subwoofers could be used. I also know that I would need at least a gen 2 beam for atmos.(btw, i know it’s a bit mad to have two 5.1 systems in one room. The reason I bought the beam, and began the whole sonos journey to begin with, is because the ceiling mounted cinema system speakers are right beneath the kids bedrooms and can’t be used while they’re in bed, which is every night after 7pm. But we still use them when they’re not.)  

Hi thereHow do i get stereo in back speakers in music videos?Streaming from Youtube Music gives a stereo signal for sound along the video but sonos automatically tries to make it a sourround sound which almost mutes the back speakers and spoil the entertainment.What do i have to change to get the music in the back speaker too?

Hey,I can’t see another forum chat on this issue, but, I have Soundcloud Go+, I can search Soundcloud for music, but I can’t see any likes (Unless I’ve liked them in Sonos App), playlists are missing, Feed is missing, New & Hot there is nothing and the DJ’s I’m following are not showing either.I’ve integrated and can use it, but as I said, I’m not seeing anything else.

GA shuffles Spotify playlists just fine when playing on its own speaker. Send it to Sonos and it plays in sequential order with shuffle mode off every time. So Sonos, what are we supposed to do to make this extremely common use case work?

Hello All!  I am looking for the best possible audio settings based on my Samsung QN90B, Apple TV 4k 3rd Gen and my Sonos Beam Gen 1. I am using the HDMI to connect the Beam to my TV.  What setting should I select under my Apple TV Audio Format? Change Format > Off OR On with Dolby Digital 5.1 as the new format?    Samsung TV settings - if I select change format on within the Apple TV settings, I get three options under the Samsung TV digital output audio format: PCM, Auto or Pass-Through. if I leave change format off within the Apple TV settings, I only get Auto or PCM.   Overall, what do you think would be the best settings recommendation for my set up? Note that when I select Dolby digital 5.1 with an Apple TV I feel like I’m getting some lip sync issue. Is that normal?  Thank you in advance for the help! 

Hi  I have had sonus beam sound bar for a year or so decided to get Era 100 speaker today to create a bit of surround sound trying to connect the Era 100 through the app with little success the beam is working fine but the Era 100 will not connect I’ve tried resetting router and all the other quick fixes but still nothing works has anyone else had these issues  thanks 

I know this sounds trivial but I’m having trouble connecting a Play 5 with my S1 app.  It was disconnected during troubleshooting trying to get my existing S1 system speakers to work with the new S2 because I just got a Beam Gen 2.  It is the only holdout - it can’t work with the S2 but it is now disconnected and so I need to get my S1 app to recognize it.  Currently, it has an ethernet cable connected to it and is powered on.  In the S1 app (after I reset it) I get the option to set up a new Sonos system, or connect to an existing system.  I choose connect to existing system, and then get “Use Sonos S2 app” or more options menu which essentially lead me full circle back to resetting the app.  My conclusion is that SONOS wants me to have a “new” app (new credentials to log in) to the S1 app.  Nothing seems to be working.  Would it be appropriate to simply unplug the existing S2 devices in the house and then try to connect my Play 5 to an existing system?  Fooling the S1 into thinking t

Hi all,Has anybody else experienced a Slow, laggy and poor refresh rates on the S2 app after the latest update (Android November 2023)? Note the app itself was updated a few weeks back but I had a system update today and the app itself was somehow effected.A few examples of what I'm experiencing:1) A laggy experience or lower refresh rate when scrolling through any tab2) The My Sonos tab is refreshing the artwork every time I land on the page3) Track listings disappearing when i go back to a playlist while scrolling It's not unusable but pretty terrible. I'm using the Android app version 15.10 build 76246300 on my Samsung Z fold 5 running Android 5.1.1

Should they sound like they are directly above the listener on the couch? or should they sound like they are coming from above the the TV/soundbar?I watched Roma(Atmos confirmed in app) during the forest fire scene, and played with the height volume. It definitely made a difference in terms of sonics but I could mainly place the sound, not directly above my head, but more above the TV towards the ceiling. I didn't get a feeling like it was directly above me or around me in a 360 effect.My sound bar is on a media unit. The top firing drivers are not obscured by anything. The bottom of the sound bar is 6ft 4 inches from the ceiling which is flat. My listening position is approximately 7ft 8 from the soundbar.Peter Pee's arc placement video says I may need to til the rear of the soundbar forwards by an inch, to fully optimise the height channels. Has anyone else done this? if so, how far do you wedge something into the back of the Sonos to raise? i.e where should I be measuring the inch f

I am having three problems with the Arc SL shadow; 1) a loose HDMI port on back of the soundbar that will lose connection if i touch or move soundbar even slightly  2) random sound drop while streaming content  and 3) poor reception to control volume from Firestick remote.   Anyone else with similar experiences?

Hi everyone,I'm looking for an upgrade on my sound system. I own a sonos beam 2 for less than a year and im thinking about buying a speaker to have a better home cinema experience. It's almost the same price to buy one Era 300 or 2 Era 100 (500euros). Does anyone have any advice to help me in making a choice between these 2 options? To be more precise, my beam 2 is 4m in front of me in my 20 square meter room, and the couch is located against a wall where i would put the speaker(s) on (on each side if i get 2 speakers and probably centered if i get one) Thanks for any advice that can help. Hi - I got a new iPhone and, though I’ve been subscribed to Sonos Radio (and have been paying for it), the App does not “recognize” this. Meaning, when I play using Sonos Radio, I still have adverts and can’t skip songs. I’ve tried multiple times re-authorizing Sonos radio, have deleted and reinstalled the app, canceled my subscription and re-subscribed, but nothing. My system is up to date. any ideas? Thanks!

I ordered an arc, sub and two era 100’s. The arc had a loose screw or something right out of the box. I never connected it to my system. When I picked it up I could hear the screw rattling around inside. So, I went to the return website and started the return. I got an email with a shipping label but could see nowhere to request and replacement. I didn’t want to just return it I wanted a replacement that didn’t rattle. So I ended up calling support. Spent 45 minutes on the phone explaining I wanted a replacement and not a refund (used a 40% off coupon to order). I was told that I already requested a return and all I had to do was ship it back and around and around. Transferred to a different rep where I had to go through the whole story again (you already requested a return etc etc etc). Finally the second rep understood and pushed an email where I could enter the RMA and request a replacement. Perfect. Except… the website was broken. I would enter in the info and when I hit the submit

Hi We have a 5.1 set up with a 1gen beam and 2 sonos play in our front living room. We are creating an open plan extension and looking to create the same (or better) in the TV area (which is the wall with the 2 single windows). The floor will have wet UFH and I assume I need to cable in power to middle of the floor to have power sockets for each speaker. Thinking double socket to live under sofa (which will be an L shaped sofa. I’ve attached floor plan and also looking to how this should tie in else where. We will get an Arc and we have several sonos 1’s that could be used for rear speaker. Considered using ceiling speakers for atmos instead of 5.1 set up. I’d love some advice on set up for all open plan area inc dining and kitchen. I’m also thinking of finally adding a sub as no attached neighbour on the media wall. All advice welcome as I;d like to ensure I get the cabling right for contractors and take advantage of black friday deals before my other half says we cant afford them!   

Yesterday when I turned on the TV, there was a loud pop from either the Arc or the Sub.  This morning, after the TV was on for about 30 min, the left surround popped in the same way.  I grabbed a diagnostic as quick as I could after the pop, but not sure why this started all of the sudden.  Update went through two days ago to 14.0.4Diagnostic is 1674648960

I have groups setup in Alexa per the instructions. Currently though it seems like it just plays to whatever speaker or group was last controlled instead of the specified group. Alexa says it is saying what I said to do, but doesn’t actually play to the expanded or reduced set of speakers, just changes what some speaker/group is playing. My understanding is that regrouping speakers isn’t supported with Alexa, but that playing TO a group is supposed to be.   

HiHad my arc just short of a year and tonight I turned on my xbox series x I use to watch bluerays, it was sitting on the dashboard and suddenly there was a loud bang and it was like the arc rebooted. A quick Google suggested this may be a known issue but for my own sanity I ran a diagnostic report and contacted sonos for a health check on the arc.According to the sonos agent they could see an amp fault "I see. I can see that your Sonos Arc is having an Amp Fault. And for this one, we just need to reboot the Sonos Arc. Just unplug it to the power outlet and plug it back in after 10 seconds. Then observe if the Arc is still producing the loud pop noise so we can further isolate the issue."I rebooted the arc and sent another diagnostic and he said it was clear. But I'm know wondering if I have an actual hardware fault and I don't want to just leave it for it to eventually break. Any advice welcome 

I have the same - or at least a similar - issue as many other customers describe in the community.I experience a sudden very loud pop that sounds like a huge short circuit in the Arc, then some small pops crackling and a complete loss of audio. The led turns orange on the front.Power cycling the Arc gets it out of the bricked state, but only until the issue happens again. Can confirm that it happened with Dolby Atmos audio content from media player on the TV.Setup is Sonos Arc and 2x Sonos ONE surround setup. Connected to Philips OLED 65OLED806/12 on  eArc port (port 1) with HDMI 2.1 certified cable. System diagnostics collected while the Arc was not in zombie state did not reveil anything weird according to Sonos support.I found posts going back 3 years that report this same issue, and have found no other proposed solution than “disable Dolby Atmos” and that it might have to do with the Atmos container.While support has been friendly, they claimed to be unfamiliar with the issue. Hi,I wanted to install a brand-new Sonos Amp in our second home. It is the first Sonos device there, so I created a new system. That worked, but in the end when the app tries to link the Amp to my account I get an error. The Amp is connected via Ethernet cable, so Wifi is not the issue. I have a managed switch and can see that the Amp is connected and has an IP adress.  What else could be wrong? If Sonos is reading this, I created a diagnostics report with number 1218390867. Here is the error I get: Any advice is appreciated! Tried again today and it still does not work. Also tried from another iOS device, same result. Another thing I tried is to add a different device, a Sonos One, but the app wants me to complete the Amp setup first. Also I cannot delete the Amp, or at least I don‘t see an option for that.  Any ideas? Moderator edit: combined posts

After the 15.2 Update (build 72239150) .  Some of my Sirius XM channels, will play, others will not.  Same problem whether I use the mobile app or my desktop controller.
