I have a new Beam 2nd gen. It works great, sounds great, remote is connected everything works except we can't turn the TV on in the am unless we touch the sono box button, and the tv won't shut off with the remote. We have to ask Alexa or Google to shut it off. What gives?

Hi @Pooper

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

This is pretty strange - I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

Do you have CEC enabled in the TV settings? Is the Beam connected via HDMI ARC or optical? What model TV do you have?

Hi, yes. CEC is enabled, connected to ARC. Model QN65Q8DAAFX2A. Thank you for a response.

I need help…

I have a Gen 1 Amp (4yrs old max) and don’t use it regularly 5-6 times a year when we have parties.

The white LED power light is not on.

Power is coming from the socket and I’ve changed the fuse.

Any ideas ?

Will it play music, but the status light is off? There is a setting for Status Light to be “on” or “off”. Or are you saying you think the device is dead?

Im sure we haven’t changed the status light unless it can be don’t accidentally then I
think it might be dead….4yrs old only used 3-4 times year so disappointed if that is the case.

With anything electronic, don’t assume that an action you’ve taken is the only source of change. It might be a power surge, a cosmic ray, or something someone else did…always double check.

Any other lights?

What if you temporarily connect an Ethernet cable, do the LEDs there come on?
