I’ve seen a topic about this from 2 years ago.  None of those solutions is helping me.  I’m trying to add iHeartRadio to my Sonos services.  The Sonos app tells I need to authorize the service and gives me a 5 digit code to enter.  It then sends me off to Safari to enter this code.  However, it appears the phone is auto-filling that 5 digit number for me (perhaps incorrectly?) - but then the web page tells me that I did indeed successfully authorize my Sonos system to my iHeartRadio account.  So I’m pretty sure the code was entered correctly.The problem is when I try to use iHeartRadio it constantly tells me that the account needs authorized.  This is very frustrating.

My system is stuck in a permanent “Tune in” introduction.  Just the declaration that Tune In is starting followed by an ad, over and over again.  Never getting to the radio station 

Dear all, I have 2 identical Play:1 speakers. They both got upgrade to S2. As they were not compliant to our overall Sonos System, we need to downgrade them. Followed the exact process as shared by Sonos. 1 unit downgraded successfully but 1 unit keeps on giving ‘downgrade unsuccessful’ message. Any advice on what to do in addition to the documented process of reset and more options on S2 app would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. R

I watched this video from the Sonos official channel. But I am wondering that if we play music via Bluetooth to stereo-paired Era 100, is it a true stereo? For example, one speaker is the left channel, another one is the right channel. Or 2 speakers actually just have the exact same sound out?   

Hi,I would like to connect a vynil-player (for example the AT-LP120BT) to the sonos-ikea speaker Symfonisk which has only wifi/ethernet connection. Could you please help me in finding the easiest (and possibly cheapest) way to connect the two devices? For example, it is not clear if a Sonos port is enough or I need the Sonos Amp, or other devices. Thanks for your help!

Hi, After moving in a new flat, I was looking at SONOS option for some weeks, and would like to finalise my order, but I thought to send a short message to be sure that my possible future set up will work well. I have a “big” open room with a Kitchen, a Leaving Room and a Music Studio with existing speakers(see plan attached) and I would like to have it all connected through wifi. But based  on my budget, I am considering to buy some older generation SONOS speakers such as Play 5 and/or Play 3 with newer model ONE SL and Move.  But if I keep the Play 5 Gen 1, I will have to stay on S1 app. For me, the most important is to be able to hear all “traditional” output everywhere (Turntable, Mixing Table Output) as well as mobile and Computer output through Wifi.  Do you think that the setup attached would work, and do you have advice on the few questions there:- to connect the turntable, is a Play 5 Gen 1 stereo pair  better than and Play 3 Stereo pair + Connect?- do I need a connect AMP to

The answers here are a bit confusing so let me ask. I currently have a Sonos Beam and two One SL speakers all set up as my living room. Can I add a third speaker out on my patio and selectively turn the pation off when I am in the house and listening in the living room. Thanks Len

Hi,Since a while, AirPlay does not work anymore with my Sonos Play:5 gen 2. I reset the speaker and Airplay start working again but failed soon after.anybody as any idea of what to do ?Thanks !

Hi, after upgrading both my Mac mini and macbook pro to Sonoma 14.0 I noticed that Sonos One works only in wireless mode. It works in ethernet mode only for apple Music app  and Sonos music services app and not, for example if music or voice is played through youtube. A contact with an Apple specialist told me that other people issued the same problem, and that a new OS release could solve the problem; after about 10 days the situation didn’t change. I have an existing Sonos Gen 1 system (Play 5, Play 3, Play 1) working with the Gen 1 app.  All’s well with that.  Yesterday I bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 which I found out won’t work with the Gen 1 speakers I already have.  It doesn’t want to connect at all - I get a message that says: “This system includes products that aren’t compatible with Sonos S2.  You have options: (1) Open Sonos S1 Controller to control or update the system, (2) Set up a new system using the Sonos S2 app.  All products must be S2 compatible.”I would think that I could still use my existing S1 system with the S1 app and use the S2 app to control the Beam Gen 2.  That doesn’t seem to be the case.  There’s another message I get while trying to set up the Beam Gen 2 telling me I could set it up in the S1 app and lose functionality.  Is it possible to have Gen 1 in the S1 app and also Gen 2 in the S2 app simultaneously on the same WiFi network?  How can I deal with problems getting the Beam Gen 2 set up?  Do I have t

Hi all. I bought the Sonos sub with the notion of placing under my couch (foolishly without measuring) and it won’t fit. I can place it in a cupboard in my built in TV unit. Wife hates the look of it so this is my only shot. Would this be pointless or ineffective? Is it supposed to be on the ground? Would the sun being placed in a piece of wooden furniture sound terrible or vibrations that would diminish my sound system? Units not test installed so I can’t test and secondly as it is still in its packaging I may be better off returning the item.  thanks.

Hello all, I was just going to send this question to chat but no reps are available. So figured I’ll ask here.I’ve had my amp and Sonos architectural outdoor speakers for about 3 weeks now and while they sound unreal it doesn’t always start out that way. When I just start playing the outdoor speakers by themselves they are kinda quiet and lacking dynamics, a little thin. This is the case until I group them with a set of speakers inside, then they are nice and full/louder and sound incredible! Trying to add a Boost (2019 version) to my existing system. I have cabled the boost but it can’t be found when I try to add it through the S2 app.I have one existing speaker cabled - this is needed cause otherwise of of the speakers don’t connect. However, I don’t need a speaker close (and wired) to my router hence going for the Boost.If I turn off my speakers the Boost is recognized by the app - but then I can’t add my existing setup.Any idea what’s wrong?Thanks, Lars

Sonos is working i have my system up and running on Boost and wifi (Boost wired) my Wifi setup is a Unify dreamrouter with wifi 4: 2,4 ghz enabled, the logs mention (see below) that every couple of minutes the wifi connection is lost and reconnected. Still the music steaming etc plays fine, what i see is that the history is gone all the time, like its has been powerless. I Tries to change the channels and place the boost in a more center like place in the house. please see below the messages i get from unify logs. 

I’ve recently purchase an open-box Sonos Port from Best Buy, in US. After bringing it to Brazil, I found out it had been previously registered to an account that obviously I don’t have access. Will a factory reset allow me to register it to my account?

Hi,I called Sonos support twice on this and let’s say they wasted my time…I have 3 Sonos in my home (home wifi network) and 2 others in a Guest House (Access point connected directly with a underground network cable to the home router).   I need my 2 Sonos in the Guest house to connect on the Acccess point and the 3 Sonos in the house to connect on the ‘’home wifi network’’.  I seems that the Sonos App does not allow to connect different groups of product under different network.  I suspect that, since both network are not so far from each others, they are picking up signal one from the other.   I even tried to creat a second Sonos Account to separate the 2 networks but the App recognize that the speakers are linked to the main account (maybe because of serial number).  And yes I made sure to Factory reset all speakers before I start to configure. Your ideas are more than welcome!   

Hi all.so I’ve had my speakers running pretty much faultless for the last 7 or so years, but over the last few weeks when we’ve been using them throughout the day and evening they work fine however when we turn them off for what ever reason (bedtime phone calls whatever) they all come on full blast randomly. This could be in the afternoon middle of the night no pattern. They are all up to date, I’ve tried powering down, deleting the app and re installing. This afternoon we turned them off and I removed the last played from the rooms and they have all just blasted out something, seeing as it’s 2030 and the kids were are in bed I just unplugged as quick as I could. any ideas on what else to try as I’m at my wits end With them now  thanks in advance 

I have had my SUB for over 8 years, same house, same place, it worked fantastic until 3 weeks ago. I’ve had to do a lot of resetting. Finally 2 of my 4 products are good. When I reset my SUB and try to reinstall I’m not being able to get the green flashing light. I am connecting to the Sub’s WiFi network, but when prompted to push the arrow button I should get a green and white flashing light and light remains white. I only get a white light.thank you in advance  

Currently have two Era 300s set up as a stereo pair, with one speaker connected to my Sony Turntable via its RCA outputs (and Sonos adapter).  Is it technically possible to connect a CD player to my other Era without “confusing” Sonos? I know I could just detach the Vinyl RCAs whenever I want to listen to the CD player, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to have both units each connected to an Era, so that I never have to unhook anything. I’m also uninterested in a mixer, although would consider a low-profile one if that’s all there was. 

I gave my Playbar and Sub to a relative without properly removing them from my system. I now can’t access any rooms in my app, and they can’t setup the speakers I gave them.Do I need to go so far as to bring the speakers back to my home? Suggestions?

I have a Sonos system with a Western Digital NAS, and in the spring I upgraded Sonos to S2.From the S2 app, I can see my NAS and select albums, songs, etc. I can also search ("classic search") and get results from both Spotify, TuneIn, etc. - incl. my NAS's "music library".But when I select "try the new search" - I get no results from my NAS.Others who have experienced the same?Is there a solution, or is it a "feature" - where Sonos "forgets" that there are also NAS users among their customers?(playback from the NAS is no problem, so I don't think it's a "protocol problem")RegardsMartin Frøland

I have a Sonos arc connected to Amazon Omni fire TV via earc HDMI connection.  When I play a DVD or blue ray on my sony or lg DVD player, there is intermittent popping noises.  I can pause the DVD and start again and it usually goes away.  I tried changing the channel on Sonos and that worked for a while.  I have changed out the TV with the same model as well.  And still the popping!  This is so frustrating.  It only does this when playing DVDs.  All other streaming apps etc play with no popping.  Any ideas?

Our Sonos system was installed in 2016. More and more often the music is not continuous. On occasion I have unplugged the Sonos control box for a particular room, and it appears to help for a day or so. It is very frustrating. I am wondering if there is a way to reset the entire system, hoping that this might solve the problem. Gary Freeman

How can I reboot my Sonos speaker if I don’t have access to my account anymore. The account been hacked .so please can anyone tell me what to do?
