Hi - I’m planning a construction project in my house and part of it includes re-doing our TV area. It’s a small area - around 12’ x 8’. I’m thinking about doing a setup with an Arc, Sub, and 2 ceiling speakers for rear surround via AMP. I had a few questions about this setup.How would this zone be used if I want to listen to music on it instead of TV? Specifically w/ regards to the surrounds. Will the AMP for the surrounds and the SUB be linked to the ARC and act as one zone, whether for TV or music? Or is each component like a separate assignable room? I’m trying to figure out how to get this space to work best for both TV and music. How does the TV etc recognize the configuration for it’s output? Does it act like a 3.1 setup and use the source material mix? Or does it just come as a bitstream and Sonos does its own thing with the mix? If I need to have multiple inputs - i.e. a streamer, blu-ray, etc.. I assume they just all go into the TV and I use the TV inputs to switch back and fo

Hello, I'm looking for advice on my whole home Sonos system (Boost ,((Amp w/ 2 sets of in-wall mounted Bose Virtually Invisible 191 speakers)),1x Play 1, 2x Play 3, 2x Play 5, Playbar on 75” Sony LED, Beam on Sony 65” LED and 1x Play 5 hooked into a Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT.) The record player is always lower than the other speakers on group play. I'm on Xfinity  2G speed internet service running about 1.8G regularly. How can hook this all up to run effectively and sound amazing. The Bose lines all run to a lower level closet where the AMP is picking both sets up, so I cannot change volume between those 2 sets. thanks 

I have had Sonos for years now and experiencing two new issues. When listening to music (on one or several speakers), the music will turn off for about 3-7 seconds and then come back on. What’s odd is, my living room is set up with a Play 5 and a Sub. When the Play 5 stops playing as described above, the sub will still play. Any thoughts on how to fix? The second issue is, when I am listening to music (seems mostly when using multiple speakers) randomly in the middle of a song, the song will stop and a new song in the playlist will start playing. I am the only one that has the application on my phone, so no one else is messing around and changing the song. Any thoughts? Thank you! Gary

However, I've encountered persistent issues with my Play 5's that have left me seeking assistance. Despite my home's robust FTTH 1GB mesh network setup, I'm experiencing intermittent cutouts and jitters, particularly with the Play 5's, which disrupt the seamless audio experience Sonos is known for.During a recent demonstration in my study, the system's performance fluctuated unexpectedly in front of an esteemed international DJ, which was quite disheartening. The network matrix indicates an intermittent red signal from the Sub, yet my network remains otherwise stable and fast, which suggests the possibility of a software inconsistency.With two devices directly connected to the LAN via Cat 6 and no discernible network issues, I'm inclined to believe there could be a software-related anomaly affecting system stability. I have a spare connect:amo and am planning to use it to power some ceiling speakers in a bathroom (they will be the only speakers in the bathroom). Will the sonos sonance speakers work ok with the connect:amp? I believe I won’t be able to use trueplay with the connect:amp - how much does this matter with the sonance speakers. Would it make a huge big to upgrade from connect:amp to amp (an expence I would prefer to avoid if there is not much difference. Any replies/advice gratefully received.

Hi and hello,Starting to give up on Symfonisk now..Spotify app/integration missing in S2 app. Other integration works fine, like radios etc. Cant connect from within Spotify app from phone nor from laptop. Hi everyoneNeed some advice from people who know much more than myself about this!I have recently purchased a Sonos Arc to use with my Apple TV 4K and Amazon Firestick 4K. I have a Sony KD TV and have plugged the Sonos Arc into its e-arc port and removed the Apple TV 4K that was in there and put that in another (non e-arc) HDMI port. Is that correct? When I watch the new Netflix’s Society of the Snow film on my Apple TV it displays multichannel PCM 5.1 in the Sonos App but on Amazon Firestick it states Dolby Digital 5.1 and sounds louder. Which is the best format for sound quality? On BBC iPlayer on Apple TV it generally shows Stereo PCM yet Firestick displays Dolby Digital plus 2.0. Which of these is better? I’m guessing Dolby Dogital? The only way I can get the Apple TV to play in Dolby Digital is by going into the audio settings and turning off the auto setting but then if I want to play something in Atmos I have to go back in the switch this back to auto!!Tthanks in advance and sor

Anyone else lose the ability to turn crossfade on/off via their phone? For me specifically an iPhone 12 Version 15.11. Its there on my Mac though

Hi! The Sonos system at my parents house is giving them a lot of trouble. They have a fairly big system, consisting of two Play:1 zones, two One zones, two Connect:Amp zones, and one Playbar zone. Each zone consists of a standalone speaker, with no stereo pairing or Subs involved. In particular, the Connect:Amp devices are intermittently dropping audio for about 5 to 10 seconds at a time, several times a day. Sometimes the audio in these zones stop altogether and they need to power the devices off and on to get them working. The problem only exhibits itself when listening to live radio via BBC Sounds or TuneIn. They haven’t had any issues when listening to Spotify or Apple Music, but they mostly listen to live radio so they can’t say for sure whether other services would be impacted if they used them more often. They previously had a Sonosnet connection using a BOOST wired to their BT Smarthub 2 router and had similar issues. There’s a grey noise coming out of the Era 300 when connected to my turntable.my setup is a Pro-ject Debut 3 turntable connected to a NAD preamp on phono.the record sound is very low and theres a loud grey sound as soon as i connect my jack to the Era 300.has anyone had this issue? thanks!

I currently listen to my music (ripped from my old CDs) by sending it from iPad or iPhone to my Beam via AirPlay. If I bought an Era 300 and sent the music there instead, would there be a noticeable improvement in quality? Thanks.

I am holiday with my very new Move 2 and it is now just sitting there with a flashing red led.it was working fine on my home system And also worked fine for 2 days on holiday with me streaming Bluetooth from a Sony mp3 player. Now it is just dead. It won’t reset and is completely unresponsive whether it is on the charger or not. I have read through the forums and every suggestion either doesn’t work or is not applicable.  

I am trying to connect my Play 1 to the Alexa services.Alexa can see the Room, but not the device, nothing seems to allow the app to discover the Sonos Play 1.I have reset and rebooted, checked the software, the Sonos is working through traditional apps and services fine, but the alexa just cannot find it.What could i be missing?When i scan for the speaker, it finds a plug that is not in service - no idea why, but i have tried to search repetitively without success.The play 1 is on the same network as the alexa dot… i feel like i MUST be missing something…The skills to play have been enabled, the room is known to alexa but there are no speakers, i am getting desperate!Please any help would be great.Alexa not discovering my Sonos Play:1 | Sonos CommunitySimilar, to this, but resolution seems unclear

I have Sonos Arc system and a Chiq TV in my outdoor kitchen. I have Samsung TV’s in the other zones that Sonos is connected and this issue does not occur there. After a few hours of watching TV or listening to music outside, the volume drops to 15 (Sonos) and will not allow me in increase. Even if I use the TV remote or the Sonos app, the volume keeps dropping back to 15. If i turn the TV off for 15 minutes it fixes the issues for the time being. Any idea why this is happening. 

Will I lose my current SONOS playlists and have to re-create them if I upgrade to a new SONOS speaker?

Can I leave Roam on its wireless charging stand so it is ready all the time?  Will this hurt the battery?

We’ve been using our Sonos more since we got Apple Music. We have 5 speakers and a connect:amp. This am I wake up and only the Connect Amp shows! Support page starts with  turn all off and on. There are 5!!! All over the house in weird places!!! Why does this happen???  How can I avoid this? Ugh!!! 

When I use my Sonos move 2 with Bluetooth the sound keeps failing/pausing. Any suggestion to fixed it? I have an iPhone 15

I’ve just set up a connect S15 with the S2 app on both my Mac running Mojave and my iphone. I’ve got the analog out on the Connect feeding an existing stereo. I added Bandcamp as a source and it works just fine; I can access and play all my purchases w/o issue. I added 6 folders containing various format music files (mostly mp3, some wav and flac) to the music library in the computer app as per user’s guide instructions. These files all appear in the library but none of them will play. I get an ‘unable to play (file name) unable to connect to (folder name). I can play these files on my computer, I can burn them to cd-r. Any idea won’t Sonos doesn’t want to play them? I just submitted a diagnostic # 1930119625.

So, I have a pair of klipsch aw650s, that I put up outside for summer time. Currently they are inside though, with Sonos AMP connected to the TV, sub, and sonos ones. In this room, right now, I have sub, two fives, two ones, and the klipsch speakers. While sub is good for tv, I want something better for music, I am thinking svs pb3000. I would like to sell the fives and sub, they aren't as loud as the klipsch and I like the sound of the klipsch better. With that said, I would like to get a third party amp, a port, and two new inside speakers. The speakers will be hooked up to the tv with AMP, and the new sub. But I want the port and new amp to power the outdoor speakers when they get hung back up outside. Or the inside speakers I don't really care. I have run wiring for an amp to power the speakers outside, through an exterior wall. I am looking for third party stuff, as $700 for AMP seems like a lot. Any suggestions on speakers to connect to AMP and the tv? And suggestions on an amp t

I have two soundbars, one play 5, one sub, yesterday all were working on the same system, today my two soundbars will not connect, even though the other two speakers continue to work on the system, the app keeps telling me they cannot connect to the system. I have rebooted both soundbars, restarted my router and the message remains the same….help!
