I have a 7-year-old Playbar, two Play 1 surrounds, and a subwoofer connected to a Vizio TV and a relatively new Apple TV box for streaming (pretty sure it’s the non-4k version, probably 4 to 6 months old, and running TVOS 18). The TV audio output is turned off and uses the optical cable to connect to the Sonos Playbar. The Apple TV box is a replacement for an older Apple TV I wanted to use in another room, and has a silver remote that includes a power button, whereas the older remote is the thin black one with no power button. Everything worked fine after upgrading the Apple TV box; my recollection is the Apple remote controlled the Sonos volume right out of the box. Something happened that caused me to reconfigure our setup (I don’t recall what), so I did hard resets on all the Sonos equipment and set it all up from scratch, and following that the volume control on the new Apple Remote would no longer control the Sonos volume. Hello all,Whilst playing the Spotify app on my phone via my Sonos amp I used to be able to turn volume up by just using the volume buttons on my phone. This has now stopped? Is there a way to get this back. The only way I can turn the volume up is now via the Spotify appTIA

It’s now September 2024. I still can’t scan and update my music library which disappeared about four or five months ago. I have read and tried everything suggested without success.Can anyone help? 

I cannot find my sonos playbar after changing to a new wifi router and new password. What am i going to do? Do i need to re-set up again?

What is good playbar who plays wiht sonos play1 ? 

So I have an entirely wireless room setup, consisting of five Sonos speakers. I have a Sonos 5 hardwired to my router and four speakers all connected wirelessly to the same room. I want/need to change one of these speakers to a wired connection, as I’m moving it outside to a new location too far out of reach of my wifi, hence the need for one speaker to be a wired connection. So I’ve moved on of the speakers outside and hardwired it to my router via a (very) long ethernet cable. When I try and run my Sonos system and the ‘room’ it initially pics up this speaker and appears to treat it normally within the five speakers in the room for a few minutes. After that, all other speakers in the room other than this one become unavailable and music only plays through the one newly wired speaker. If I remove the new wired speaker, the other four speakers come back online and available again in the room in the Sonos app. It’s either one or the other, whereas I need all five speakers to play.Any he

Hi,I haven’t used the stereo pair of two Play:5s in my office for a few months.. and when I tried to use it the other day, one of them was “dead” and did not show up in the system.. after a lot of resetting I have it back in the system, but it is in a separate “room”.I have the Play:5 and the Sub-Mini in “Office” and they work fine, and then I have a separate “Office” with the Play:5 in it.. so I can’t stereo pair them.There seems to be no way of moving the second speaker into the same room, or remove it from its current room, etc.. merge rooms, or anything else.I have current iOS and Android phones.. the Android version of the app seems to be working a little bit better.Any advice?Thanks in advance.

Hi all,just discovered tonight my LG tv remote was no more controlling the volume on my arc… resync it on lg tv, restarted arc, inactivate lg sync stuff nothing solve it. Thought it was related to my surround (symphonisk) because no more distance option in sonos app, so unpair/repair them no changes. Btw the function vocal improvements (not sure about translation) is also not working anymore…any help from someone facing the same issues?thanksarnaud

since the app update, the volume automatically increases randomly on the setup connected to my tv. including sub and 2 one sl for 5.1 surround.anyone else noticing this? tv is an Phillips ambilight.the tv does not indicate the volume is increasing (not hitting the remote)touch controls are disabled.

When I wear my headphones, the audio becomes distorted, and when I remove them, the sound returns to normal. Does anyone know the reason behind this issue? I have the equalization settings set to default.

 I have a Sonos Arc and Sub Mini. I would like to get Era 300s for better surround sound, but my wife will not let me put them on stands or mount them on the wall. I would be able to, for lack of a better word, "hide" them on the floor in the corners of the room.My question is, is it worth it to get them if I'm just going to put them on the floor? Will the sound be significantly degraded? At that point should I just get 100's?Thanks for your help!

Hi AllI am looking for clarification of the current situation with the Sonos controllers, both windows 10 desktop software and the mobile phone App with respect to the SMB (SAMBA) control/management of my music library.I will provide background of my situation pre the upgrade of the desktop controller and the upgrade of the app to Version 80.x.x.x for clarity.I have been using the following method/technique to listen to my music library for the last 6 or so years without any issues whatsoever. May 2024 came around and my ability to listen to my music library disappeared in an instant…just like so many others.My music is on a USB pendrive attached to my routers USB port. My music would be available 24Hrs a day as the router never switches off. My router software allows me to “see the USB drive” Windows 10 file explorer can also “see the USB drive” I can add/delete the music on the USB at will from my desktop using file explorer. iPad Sonos app incorrectly says: “Your Apple Music account access has expired” and refuses to connect. Running Apple Music directly on iPad and choosing ERA 100 speaker, there is a delay of several seconds, and then play button goes back to stop and it refuses to play on that device. Will play on other AirPlay devices. Sonos ERA 100 does connect and play properly from MacBook Air Apple Music. Bandcamp does connect and play from the iPad Sonos app.. ( Latest iOS 18.0 on iPad and MacOS Sequoia 15.0 on MacBook and Apple Music subscription current and working despite what Sonos app says. )  

Hi, I am looking to connect a projector sitting at the back of my living room to an Arc soundbar mounted on the wall at the front of the room. Originally I was considering running a HDMI cable through the ceiling to connect the eARC port from the projector to the eARC port in the Arc soundbar, but then I was looking at the Sonos AMP and thought that might be an option. The projector i’m looking at has Google TV so I can stream directly from it.Can someone confirm if the scenario below would work?Projector connected to the AMP via the HDMI ARC port. AMP connected to the Arc soundbar via wifi. Sound would run from the projector, through the AMP to the Arc soundbar. So I’d be able to transmit the sound from the projector to the soundbar wirelessly with the help of the AMP, saving me a lot of trouble (and cost) with running HDMI through the walls and ceiling.  Would this work? Any drawback/limitation to this I should be aware of?  

Hi, so I have an ARC which I installed with the Sonos app, works great. Now I am trying to install a Beam Gen 2 on another TV in a different location. The app shows a screen stating I must update it, but my iOs version of 15.8 ( the highest my phone 7 will accept) won’t do with the minimum Sonos requirement of 16. I end up bouncing back and forth between the screens without progress. A simple install shouldn’t be this hard but I’m stuck! 

Today’s latest app update includes the following:Improvements to setup flow Added ability to set appearance between light mode/dark mode/system default Improved queue management including ability to reorder, delete individual items, and scroll Improved performance when browsing content in Home and in Browse Continued improvements to user interface Added Trueplay support for iOS18BUT (per the bolded point) I can’t delete any tracks from a queue, either before playing a playlist or when the playlist is playing (i.e. becomes a queue). I can reorder songs now but I can’t see any option to delete a track from the queue. Am I missing something?

Hello all, I Know this has been asked in different contexts but I kind of need a more specific answer.I currently have the ARC, Sub (Gen 3 ) and 2 Play1s. in my great room Ceiling height is not an issue about 30ft High. I am looking to upgrade to Era 300s for my rears but I have no way of mounting them behind the couch much less at head height. I also can't put them on stands learned that the hard way with my Play 1s due to my toddler son. Ideally I would like to mount them slightly behind my couch on both side walls angled downward to the couch. My 2 questions are How High can I actually mount these on the side walls Id like to go about 6-8 Feet up. and secondly will mounts give me enough angle for the speaker to be somewhat facing the TV? I know it's not 100% Ideal but its a large room with high ceilings and would like more room filling sound for music and TV.  thank you all in advanceAJD

Hi, I have a pair of 3s and a bridge, my original purchase from end of 2011. They still work well, I have them cabled in. It seems to be harder now to get music out of them with the v1 app . No Amazon, no other options, just Apple and that's now seeking reauthoisation. Not game to upgrade, v2 gave me a problems back whenever, luckily I had the v1 install file. V3 sounds like it might lose my 3s. Is it over? Do I need to shop elsewhere?

After the update our Play 3 continues to work with both radio and music streaming but our connect does not work with either. The Connect links our amp to 2 non Sonos speakers. Any suggestions on how to re-connect the non-connecting Connect?

Just found out my $500 Turntable purchased from Sonos doesn't reset the tone arm at the end of the album. It just spins and clicks, potentially damaging the needle. You’d think they would let you know this.. So basically I have to be right on top of it...And the hits just keep on coming!

Hello, I have a problem with a SONOS ONE SL speaker, it has been working very well for 2 years.This morning, I played music on it without any problem. This evening, I noticed that it is off. I change the socket 3 times, it no longer turns on. What is the solution? Chat support is very bad and the phone never answers!Thank you for helping me.

Our iOS Sonos Application is on Sonos OS = S2; Build: 80.07.03+20240819.7fd7da0ddIt looks like the Sonos Amps are on Build: 80.1-56190I’ve already done a “check for updates” and my system is up to date. We continue to experience MASSIVE issues...to the point that it is unlistenable. The start up of music takes a bit of time, then when it starts, it is playing in whatever rooms it wants to and not the ones we’ve selected. It will play intermittently, then be okay for a while, then go back to its odd behavior. These issues started happening when Sonos rolled out their big update. When will these issues actually be fixed? Super frustrating and makes a system we spent several thousand dollars on a waste of money.
