How will usb headphones play music files stored on my android phone if sonos will not access sd file location?

Best answer by Stanley_4

You need to use a media player on your phone.

The Sonos Controller is not a media player, it is a remote control for the Sonos devices.

Yep. Sonos stopped supporting this more than a year ago: https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/play-music-stored-on-your-android-device. More about the reasons why can be found here:

Technically it has never played files from a device. It used to share the files, via an http server on your phone, to the Sonos speakers, and they played them.

However, phones make terrible http servers, so Apple and then Google blocked the practice.

Even the old version would never have worked with usb headphones, because Sonos have never actually played audio on mobile devices. There are plenty of other apps that do that.

I just notice the mentioning of USB headphones too. Sonos does not do those. @Playbarwoes what are you trying to achieve?
