So we have this 4 speaker setup that was working just fine and all of a sudden it stopped working.
Not knowing why I just proceeded to reset everything but for every speaker the result was the same setting it up over WiFi.
I can see the speaker and it also connects to the WiFi (takes long thought) and then it says it’s all done but might not show up in the list. If it doesn’t I’m supposed to unplug it and plug it back in. That is exactly what happens so when I don’t see it in my list I proceed to unplug it. Then I try to add the speaker again but this time it’s not in a reset mode. It finds the speaker just fine and tries to connect and fails. Every speaker does this and this happens every time.

What is going on here?
The speakers in question are 3x Play:1 and one play:5

When I connect it on ethernet i can actually set it up and even gives me the option to select the location for it. But then it’s on ethernet and as soon as I unplug it it doesn’t work anymore. So in the settings I try to add the WiFi in the Network part of the menu but doing this isn’t compatible with my sonos devices as my setup isn’t in the list of compatible devices.

This is pretty bizar tbh. Oh, and I’ve looked around here for suggestions but no dice. I’ve also checked this thread without any success.

Just to check the obvious things first: have you changed your router, your wifi SSID, or your wifi password? Has the router received an update that may have changed a setting? Unplug it and speakers from power for 5 minutes. Restart router and wait til it’s fully restarted and wifi is established. Then power up your speakers, one at a time.

If still no joy:
Connecting on Ethernet works, so plug in a speaker and then check the wifi credentials. Make sure wifi is enabled - toggle it off and back on. Leave it wired for an hour or so, then unplug and see what happens.

So after messing around with it for forever it looks like it’s not working anymore due to a popup that has been turned on after joining the network. This is the only change that was made. When connecting to a different network everything can be setup just fine.

Bon courage.
