Hi, Will you be providing support for Google Assistant for Sonos speakers other than the Sonos One and Beam? I have a number of non-One/Beam Sonos speakers and several Google Home devices at home and have been hoping since the announcement that Sonos was going to provide Google Assistant support that I would be able to use it on my system. However, without retrofitting the rooms in my house that already have Sonos speakers with new Sonos Ones and Beams this would not be possible. This is because dooing so is simply too expensive and wasteful (e-waste-wise) for somebody that has already invested in a number of your speakers, so I would like to ask if you will provide support for Google Assistant with orders placed through a Google home device for other non-One/non-Beam Sonos speakers.

Would anybody know why I can turn ON my tv using the Beam with Alexa but can’t turn it back off using the voice commands?

The speaker SONOS ONE has boost mode, to help to connect anothers speakers with own WIFI, but my question is, the SONOS BEAM also has boost mode? Or not?

Make symmetric step towards Android users and make Sonos speakers Chromecast available so we can send any sound from our devices to Sonos speakers. It's also make possible to cast to Sonos numerous music services without integration to app so it's very useful for users. Even cheap JBL and Sony speakers are compatible with Chromecast and Riva Wand speakers support both Airplay and Chromecast, Why Sonos users can't do this? Now I can't cast music from Deezer or Youtube Music apps to Sonos speakers and it's very sad. Please when you make Google Assistant available unlock Chromecast compatibility! I have a Connect that is direct wired to my amp. I used to be able to control the volume to my in-ceiling speakers through my Elan app - one set of speakers, simple installation. I installed the latest update from Sonos and now the App is stuck on "fixed volume". There are no "room settings" when I open the 'Settings' tab and no way to change or adjust the volume settings on the Sonos app. Everything else works fine and I can manually adjust the volume through my amp but no way can I figure out how to change the Sonos app to variable volume. ???

Hi, After the latest update I'm no longer able to use my Ipad Mini as a controller for my Sonos speakers. It seams that the Sonos app is no longer compatible with IOS 9.5.x which is the max IOS version supported by my old Ipad mini. It's quite frustrating for me that updating my sonos speakers to newset version caused this to happen. Any suggestions how to fix this (other than just bying a new ipad, which is not an option) ? Would it really require too much effort for the Sonos team to keep backwards compatibility at a reasonable level? Kind regards Torben

If i purchase an Amp or Connect:Amp and have old fashioned speakers wired into them Then connect my computer via 3.5mm input Do i play my music through the Sonos App on my PC or through ITunes(where my music is organised)?

I am in process of purchasing a new home, which will then be going through some renovations. I was all set (in my mind) to purchase a Playbar, 2 Ones, and the Sub for my main room entertainment. Then of course I find out there is the new in wall/ceiling system coming out shortly... with a 1yr old child ready to run havoc, having a built in system limiting wires has some appeal. Either system will be used at least 90% of the time to play the sound for what is on TV. I would eventually add outdoor speakers, but that would be used for streaming music and not what is on the primary TV. Which set up will provide the best sound experience? Playbar/Ones/Sub combo vs 4 Ceiling Speakers/Sub? If either of these two items factor in at all; the room is fairly large with high ceilings, and I plan to purchase an LG OLED TV. Since some time i have to set the sleep timer [b]twice[/b] to make it work. First time i set it, nothing happens. When i set it again, it works. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour recently? I'm using a Play 1.

I have been disappointed in the Sonos Amp and how it performs with an Acoustic Landscape AS41SYS. The AS4.1 consists of 4 satellite speakers and 1 sub that presents it's self as an 8 ohm load to the receiver. I previously had this system powered by a Yamaha RX-V667 receiver rated at 90w per channel @ 8 ohms. I had tried a Sonos Connect:Amp and it simply didn't produce enough volume. I recently purchased the Sonos Amp rated at 125w per channel @ 8 ohms and really I can't tell a difference between the Sonos Amp and Sonos Connect:Amp. The Yamaha RX-V667 produces more volume (albeit without all the Sonos features). It confuses me that the Yamaha RX-V667 rated at 90w per channel out performs the Sonos Amp rated at 125w per channel both at 8ohms. The speaker setup is the same when testing both receivers. Some of the runs are long (~200 FT) but I used all 12AWG oxygen-free stranded copper. Sonos support is chewing on this, but I was wondering if others out there have tried this par

So it seems since the 10.1 update I can no longer set my sonos beam as the alexa enabled device in a group. This means I have to say the room name to change the lights for example rather than just saying lights and it take effect in that room/group. I want to add a Sonos one, to my existing set up of a Playbar and 2 Sonos Play Ones currently set as souround sound. I understand I cannot use the new Sonos one as one of the surround speakers (unless I have 2 Sonos ones) but if I keep the existing set up as it is, can I add the Sonos one and acheive Alexa voice activation to the setup with the new Sonos one just set as an additional speaker. So I tried to play a song from my sonos app and the app said it was unable to find sonos on my wifi. I restarted my router. Same issue. I reset my router. Same issue. Alexa on my Sonos had suddenly acquired an american accent and instantly says "sorry, im having trouble understanding right now". I set up my surround sound again (for the recoird i have two sonos ones and beam) and it still doesn't work - again blaming the wifi. THIS. IS. NOT. DOWN. TO. MY. WIFI. And its frustrating that the app keeps doing this. This is the second time this has happened. Can someone advise, because I'm on the verge of just selling these speakers.

There is only one output (optical) from my new LG OLED TV and it goes to an optical splitter (1 in 4 out) and on to my Playbar as well as 2 Transmitter/Receiver earphones. The 2 earphones require the output from the TV to be PCM. Because the TV must transmit via PCM to the Playbar will that limit my ability to have a 3.1 SONOS system?

We are about to start a backyard renovation and I'm trying to plan ahead. I currently have several Sonos speakers and am using a Connect to create a Sonos Zone for our primary home theater/AVR (Denon AVR-X3500H). Here's my question: If I skip the Sonos Amp, go with a different passive outdoor speaker brand (leaning Polk currently) and connect the speakers to Zone2 on the Denon via the speaker terminals, will I be able to control the volume of Zone2 playback outside with the Sonos App that is tied to the "Living Room" home theater zone? Or will I need to use the Denon app to control the volume of Zone2 from the receiver? In other words, will the volume slider within the Sonos App for "Living Room" control both Main Zone and Zone2 simultaneously of the AVR?

When watching movies using my sonos surround system (Beam + 2 Play 1s) the music coming from the 2 surrounds over powers the center channel, the Beam. Is there a way to make the beam (center channel) louder than the surrounds.

I can use Sonos on Mac and Windows running NordVPN, yet on Android phone I get error from Sonos - "You are connected to a vpn which may interfere with connecting to Sonos." Sonos then directs me to NordVPN settings which only gives two setting options - (1) Always-on VPN (which I am not going to change to just use Sonos), and (2) Block connections without VPN (which I have tried in both on and off modes - neither work). Any ideas as to how to get Sonos to work?

With the Sonos App and Spotify Premium my family can play different songs in different rooms on Sonos speakers. Using Alexa on Echo Dot if I start music on one speaker (e.g Office Sonos) then go to a separate Echo Dot in another room and ask it to play a different song on the Sonos speaker in that room (e.g. Dining room Sonos) the music stops playing on the first Sonos. I am assuming this is some limitation of the current integration between Alexa on Echo Dot and Sonos but was curious if anyone else had experienced it?

Evening All, First of all please accept my apologies for asking a question that surely must have been asked before. I did search the forum but couldn’t find a clear answer to my specific problem. I already have a Playbase and also a Sub that (if I understand it correctly) is connected to the Playbase on a 5MHz network. Last week I took a risk on buying a Play:1 to use in another room. eBay, of course ? Good news: it is in beautiful condition and works perfectly over Ethernet. Bad news: for the life of me I cannot get it to work over WiFi. Worse, I have tried a factory reset, assuming that perhaps some of my difficulties might lie in the previous owners settings. But the speaker flashed amber/white for 20mins then started flashing red/off. After unplugging and replugging it’s now flashing white/off and won’t stop. I have only found one thread on here and that ended with the conclusion that the unit was broken. I’m sure I could just send it back for a refund but

Is it possible to use any combination of Sonos products to drive passive hard-wired stereo ceiling speaker pairs in 5 separate rooms around the house and configure each room as its own zone? All speaker cables come back to one 19" rack-mount cabinet in the garage right next to the router where I already have a single Connect:Amp wired up to the kitchen ceiling speakers. I was using a Nuvo 3-zone streaming amp but its PSU just failed and it wasn't that good anyway. Would I use multiple Connect:Amps (expensive) or is there a better solution? Thank you for your help. I have a bridge and connect which are both showing as active and setup correctly (I've had my Sonos for 4 years with no issues until now). However, suddenly the volume on my speakers is insufficient (like a whisper even when turned to max volume). Any suggestion please? I tried calling the 800# but the wait time was well over 30 minutes.
