Trying to play music on my sonos one using Alexa and my Deezer account. Alexa is saying "Playing song from(my choice) using Deezer" but nothing is playing. Any ideas folks ?

I have a Sonos one in my bedroom and kitchen. I used to be able to ask Alexa to play music while in one room (say the kitchen) and it would only play in that room. Now it’s playing in both rooms automatically and I never changed any settings. It’s very frustrating. How can I stop this from happening?

Hi I have a system with 2 x beams 1 x playbar 2x Sonos speakers 1 x Sonos Amp running 2 ceiling speakers. I also use a Bridge My broadband is good with speeds of circa 30 gigs If I am playing music from 1or 2 speakers in a group the system seems to work fine but when I have all the speakers on in 1 group it starts cutting out, stopping & skipping I did a bit of reading and twice tried the trick of switching everything off including the router & switching router back on followed by each speaker individually but it made no difference. Diagnostic which was taken a minute after a skipping episode is 763375353 Regards

If I have 3 sets of speakers connected to one Sonos Amp (living, kitchen and bedroom) Can I play different music through the seperate speakers Can I select to play sound through only one set of speakers ? Cheers Andy

Hello From a few days I knowing Sonos controll API form https://developer.sonos.com/reference/control-api/ Actualy I did it auth process as well, and now I just to try play mp3 file form HD using Sonos API. Unfortunately i can't find simply way to play any mp3 file using API. Could someone show me simply way to do it ? Only what I'm found this is play from url https://developer.sonos.com/reference/control-api/playbacksession/loadstreamurl/ But this means, each file first should be must upload to service and next play. I'm wondering how it is working on my Sonos application in Android. There I can just choice file from my phone and play. I would like this same results. It is possible using this API ?

This is weird, and it had never happened before (or I didn't realize it): I have Sonos One's, in the living room and in the bedroom. It's happening that, if I say "Alexa play" and I say it in the living room (a pair of Sonos One's), it responds to me, but it starts playing music in the bedroom (a single Sonos One). The same happens the other way around: I say play or stop in the bedroom, the device acknowledges the command, but execute it in the other room. It does work properly if I name the room, but I didn't need to specify the room before. All of this started to occur right after I was experimenting with Alexa groups (where I tried to create an "everywhere" group). Have any of you had the same difficulty?

I have created a few Sonos playlists and I would like to copy the playlist songs to an SD card for playing in the car. I've searched and searched but all references I find refer to uploading songs or playlists to Sonos, I cannot find any references to how to download/export a playlist to other devices. Is this possible? And if not is this a feature that can be considered for future updates? It is an incredibly simple feature to implement so I am amazed it hasn't already been implemented, and it seems a shame to spend so much time building playlists in Sonos that I can't make use of on other devices. Just to clarify, all the songs I want to download/export are on my network, i.e. I'm not talking about downloading anything from any streaming services. Thanks Mark

I've setup my Sonus home cinema system - which comprise of a Playbar, Sub and two Ones. I thought switching my TV off will also power down my sonus system. Is that not the case, or is there a setting to do this. Please advise

Is it possible to have one of my remotes (Sharp TV remote or Dish remote) turn up/down the volume to my Sonos Beam instead of me getting up to manually do it on the sound bar? Or maybe Sonos has a remote i can use? I went to advanced settings/allow volume control on home screen and turned it off. This is so that I could control my volume to my cell phone's volume buttons WHICH INTERFERES WITH THE SONOS VOLUME. I just want to use my remote but when I do the sonos volume stops and the tv volume takes over which is crap. By the way: no where does it say I had to restart my phone each time I turn a command on/off from the Sonos settings. Gosh I turned up the volume on my cell and suddenly Sonos volume also went up too. I just want to know if I can make my remote turn up the volume FOR SONOS volume to work. Right now the remotes volume is down to 0 so that the Sonos Beam volume can work. Again a yes or no, is it impossible to make my remotes work the Sonos volume? Thank you in advance

When i play an episode of a tv series from my plex, the sound will not work on the Sonos soundbar. After 1 or 2 seconds it is not playing anymore, if I switch to TV speakers it's ok. The red light is showing on the end of the cable Soundbar side. The Soundbar works ok with the tv and via Spotify. Anybody an idea??

With the Playbar connected to a TV, can you pair a single Sonos One to the Playbar or do you need 2 Sonos One’s? Couldn’t seem to pair just 1 of them for TV sound...

Did an app update remove access to this feature? The setting are not there under room settings

Currently running playbase, bridge, sub, play 1's for surround and have play 5 as room supplemental if needed. The base and bridge are direct wired into my Netgear Orbi router. Speakers are updated and current as of 03-25-2019. During all modes of playback the surrounds are clipping, it is incredibly annoying. I submitted diagnostics several minutes after the most current episode (conf code 332641865). Appreciate help if able.

So I have a Sonos Beam with Alexa, as well as two Play Ones in my room for surround sound. Whenever I say Alexa, then a command, I only hear the voice out of the Beam. Is there anyway I can hear the voice out of all of the speakers?

Slightly odd problem which started last week. When asking a Sonos One/Beam to play something, it is automatically grouping together all other Alexa-enabled Sonos speakers to play it. This is despite them not being grouped or other speakers even playing something else at the time. Earlier today, with the Sonos app open, I asked the One in the kitchen to play Radio One and watched in the app as it lumped all the Alexa-enabled speakers together to play Radio One - even though they were already in use playing other things. It doesn't seem to include the Play:1 in my set-up, though. I have a Beam, two Sonos Ones (not paired together) and the Play:1. If it helps, my diagnostic number is 1910432264. Has anyone had problems pairing Sonos playbar, etc with Samsung Q9 TVs ? A couple of reviews on Best Buy indicate that this is a problem. Would like to know before I purchase the TV

Hello gang. I am a long time SONOS user and love the system. i am up to 4 Play 1 speakers now and recently got the play base. I connected the base up to the TV and it's working perfectly - thank you SONOS. I am turning 2 of the speakers into rear surround sound for the playbase but my question is regarding my existing sub. I already have an amplifier with a nice sub. How can i link my existing sub to the system? i don't want to shell out $700 on a sub when i already have one. I was looking at the connect but some posts i read say it's NOT possible. Since the posts i found are a bit dated i rather ask and see if there some new updates to solving this issue. Similar to how the beam automatically ungroups and start playing TV audio when the TV is powered on, I'd love to have the beam return to its previous group when the TV is powered off. I find myself manually doing this several times per day on both of my beams.

I want to play the Marantz through the Sonos speakers using Connect. I am using the PreAmp outputs on the Marantz, and the OPtical cable for the Sonos to play through the Marantz (which works fine). With the Marantz playing through the Sonos Connect I don't get much volume even when the volume control is up to full. What could be the problem?

I currently have a Sonos Beam set up of course as the sound bar for my TV. I also have an Audio Technica turntable with a built in pre-amp. Basically, I have two questions: 1.) Would a Sonos Connect or ZP90 (I've seen some used for cheaper) allow me to play my turntable on the Beam? I've read somewhere that the Beam isn't compatible with the Connect or ZP90 so I wanted to see if that was accurate information. I can't afford a Play5 so I'm trying to see if this option would work? 2.) I also hope within the year to purchase a couple of Sonos One speakers to link with the Beam for surround sound. Will I have any issues with the Connect or Zp90 working the turntable (and surround sound) once I expand? Is there anything else I should be aware of? I'm new to Sonos and new to comprehensive audio equipment in general, so I appreciate the help.

I set up a Sonos Beam today and connected it to my Samsung TV (Q6F) via the ARC HDMI port, also installed Alexa and it's running smoothly for things like playing music on Spotify or checking the weather. But what remains unclear to me: to what extent am I able to control my TV via Alexa voice control? There's no list of possible commands out there, at least I couldn't find it? I picked up somewhere that it's possible to turn the TV on and off via Alexa, so I tried that: turning on actually works, while for turning off Alexa says "OK" without actually turning it off. Why is that? And are there any more things I can do, such as... ...switch the HDMI source via Alexa (i.e. "switch to Playstation")? ...switch the TV channel via Alexa (i.e. "switch to CNN")? etc.

Hi. Just set up a white Sonos Beam in the kitchen to discover that the power cord is black and not white as i would have expected. Given that other white products I have come with white power cords I find this a strange decision to supply black in this instance. Given that I have mounted the beam on the wall under the TV I now see the black cable against our white wall. Is there any chance I can source a white power cord for the Beam?

Thanks for your time. I know this is somewhat speculative as we don't have the Sonos Beam in-hand, but I'm planning to set up a 5.1 system with the Sonos Beam, Sub, and 2 Sonos Ones. My TV is a Samsung KS8000. By your best estimation, will the following setup work for passing 5.1 sound from video games? 1. PS4 -> HDMI -> TV (PS4 Audio Format set to: "Linear PCM" 2. TV -> HDMI ARC -> Sonos Beam + Sub + Ones (TV Audio Format set to: "PCM") I've done some cursory research, and I believe with the PS4's Audio Format set to "Linear PCM" and the Samsung TV's Audio Format set to "PCM", then 5.1 will properly pass-through to the Sonos system. But my vocabulary might be off and I might be misunderstanding what PCM does. If I set my PS4 to output "Bitstream - Dolby Digital" instead of PCM, the TV automatically changes from "PCM" to "Dolby Digital". Would these settings, versus the ones mentioned in the previous paragraph, make any difference in achieving 5.1 with Sonos? I saw menti

Having issues my default “Alexa play some music” starts my Deezer flow on Sonos in the room I’m in, at random times the songs will just skip on to the next track. If I use the iOS app on my phone to start the “flow” it doesn’t skip. Any one have the same issue?

It looks like the new amp only has one HDMI input. I would like to get rid of my audio receiver which I run the TV, turntable and the Apple TV through. Will it be possible to run these devices through the new Sonos amp? I know I can run the turntable and the TV but how would I add the Apple TV to this device?
