Hello, I can play search and play Spotify, but everything is greyed out on saved Playlists and Albums I have been using Sonos for the last 6 years with Spotify and now i have changed my Spotify to Family. Now everything is greyed out for my playlists and saved albums, but i can still play songs outside of those sections! Any idea what is going on? Thanks!

Hvad har jeg misset, når min one gen2 ikke kan spille uden at være tilsluttet ledning og strøm? Jeg har lige købt den og den har været opladet i 5 timer, men slukker helt når jeg vil bruge den uden strøm.

I'm attempting to add my iTunes library to Sonos using my Mac. (Following instructions here: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/257 However, it seems like I've run into a snag stemming from how MacOS / iTunes manage the iTunes library and corresponding files. A little about my setup.     audio files stored on an external drive.     i have ~12,400 items in my iTunes library     iTunes Music Library.xml and Music Library files are stored on the drive on which MacOS / iTunes runs Regardless of what import method I use (letting Sonos detect the library, or manually pointing to a location) nothing really gets imported / indexed. What's odd is that Sonos seems to spend a large amount of time running the index but nothing is available via the app once it's complete. (Auto-Detect) My Music Method - Sonos imports playlists, but no audio is playable. Additionally, the playlist entries are all duplicated. The automatic indexing seems to run for quite some time but nothing ever becomes available

Hi folks!    I currently have a playbase as my TV speaker. I recently chose to pick up two used Play 5 Gen 1s for my new larger room I am moving into (24 x 17) as they were the same price as Play 1s.    I am now reading about potential surround issues for the Gen 1 Play 5s, or the only option for them to play the same audio with a delay? Are play 5 surrounds only available for the Gen 2 or is my setup feasible at al!    If so, would the best option here would be to sell my play 5s and go for two Play 1s instead (and maybe a sub in the future)? Would this be sufficient to fill the room? (50% TV / 50% Music)   Thanks All!

Hi, does anyone know if 8D music plays through Sonos speakers? If not will this potentially be part of the S2 release in June? Or is it a case that 8D only works with headphones? Thanks

Does Sonos App support Apple Smart Playlist?

I have been using 2 Play 5’s (gen 1) as a stereo pair for a couple of years without problem. The other day, one speaker seemed to ‘disappear’ from the system. I have tried a set-up, both through the app and via an ethernet cable and router, but with no joy. One speaker still works fine, but the one that ‘disappeared’ doesn’t. On the top, the button that looks like a speaker with a forward slash through it is constantly flashing….Help please|

I changed my wifi password, simple enough, this happens all the time so you would think that Sonos would make ti easy to reconnect, but nope. 2 hours of my life I will never get back because your system is a failure for connect after a simple change. I have tried everything. I have tried to turn everything off and back on. Tried to plug in with an Ether net cord. Followed every set up step, read on here to try other things, and NOTHING. It just won’t connect. I really don’t know what else to do at this point. Please help. Why won’t it find sonos?! I have connect to the temp wifi and still nothing. And as soon as I unplug form the ethernet it goes away.

Does a Sonos stereo pair have the ability to change the balance of left and right volume?  Oftentimes you want a pair of stereo speakers to be stereo BUT NOT play the exact same volume.  Likely because one speaker is further away from center.  This used to be fixed on old stereos by having a balance slider. So you could make the left speaker louder than right, or vice versa. Does a Sonos stereo pair add balance sliders to the pair you make?  Or are they all the same volume output?   Thanks.

Hi is there a way to stream audio that is playing on my MAC, Ipad or Android device to Sonos - if Sonos doesn’t support the music services (EG: Soundcloud private links or Instagram Live) there is not easy way to play it through your Sonos system - seems like a much needed product feature.

Is there any advantage to using 2 Sonos Ones instead of 2 Sonos One SLs to pair with a Sonos Beam? I realize the Sonos One has Alexa voice support, but I also read where that is automatically disabled when the Sonos One is paired with the Sonos Beam. Other than perhaps using the Sonos One is another room someday, is there really any advantage vs. the Sonos One SL in my current setup?

How do I change the wake word on my new Sonos Beam?

I ordered yesterday a Sonos One. SL but because of a mistake on the shipping option (selected 1 day and not 2day free) I cancelled immediately and made a new order with the correct shipping option. So the first wrong order was on hold and I was waiting for the confirmation and the refund. Today I received a response from a Sonos representative and he offered me shipping costs refund. I replied and told him that I want it cancelled because I have already ordered and paid for an other one. But after 5 hours with no response both speakers were shipped. What is the standard procedure now? I don't want to mess with the return procedure because I have very bad experience with one (it took 45 days and thousands of emails to get my refund and when I finally took it I had to pay bank expenses) I will appreciate any help. S2 is Sonos next generation software solution. Will it bring optional front speakers for Playbar setup? That would be awesome for better audio separation.

So, I currently have a Samsung 43" Q60R QLED Smart 4K UHD TV connected to a Sonos Beam with a Fire TV 4k Stick and a PC connected to the TV via HDMI. Samsung falsely advertises the monitor as "Freesynch" in graphic callouts on the web page for the product but the fine print says it doesn't have it for the 43 and 49-inch models. So now I'm looking at the ROG Strix XG438Q gaming monitor so that the AMD card on the PC can output the best video to the screen. However, there's no HDMI-Arc on the monitor and the only audio out is 3.5" and has no 5.1 sound. There's no optical audio out on the Fire TV stick (or cube) so I'm trying to figure out if there's some way to split the HDMI out of the Fire Stick so that audio can go to the Beam. The PC also has several 3.5 audio outputs for 5.1 sound that way and wonder if there's something that might accept the audio from the PC via the several 3.5" jacks and the HDMI from the Fire TV which then forwards the video on to the monitor. I'd sacrifice the

Hi Everyone, This is my first post in the community so please be gentle. TV MODEL: LG OLED TV B8 55 inch SONOS BEAM: Connected to LG TV via HDMI ARC. The TV and Beam are working correctly eg. volume is controlled by LG remote etc. The issue arises when I plug in my MacBook Pro via a normal HDMI input into the LG TV (which works well) until I return to the use the TV and no sound comes out of the Beam. In order to get the BEAM to work again I have to remove the HDMI cable attached to the MacBook from the TV and turn it on and off again.  I am thinking of wall mounting the TV where removing the HDMI cable to fix the problem will not be viable. I hope that makes sense. Please help. Thank you to anyone in advance.

I’ve been given a pair of Play:1 as a gift and don’t have any other Sonos product at the moment.  I’ve used the Sonos app to stream music using Amazon Music subscription but I find the app quite restrictive as it requires premium service to add any other service.  is there a Sonos device I can buy that can work as a host that I (or any other family member) can connect via Bluetooth - the device can then stream music to the individual play:1 speakers. (I can see that might restrict some features like playing separate music on each speaker - but that’s fine).  I’d rather pay for one host device than pay monthly family subscriptions for multiple services.

I’m renovating kitchen area and looking to use the Sonos ceiling speakers with Sonos amp, but wondering how many ceiling speakers I would need and advice on placement. I haven’t heard them live yet so I don’t know how much area 2 ceiling speakers would fill up. The kitchen is open design and around 250 sqft (17ft x 15ft). For example, would 2 ceiling speakers be enough or would it be better to have 3-4 ceiling speakers?

I have a problem with the microphone on Sonos Move. It turns on all the time (beep sound), and suddenly Goggle Assistant lady starts to speak. It happens several times in one hour. Anoying!   I have turned off the microphone, but I want to have it turned on. It didn’t behave in this way before.

The little Sonos icon disappeared on my Win 10 desktop. Can do a manual shortcut, but it just looks like a generic shortcut. How do I get the icon back?

Hi,   I’m considering of purchasing Sonos Move to be used outside every now and then. What I’m pondering is how it should be setup when not used outside.   Can I technically add Sonos Move to living room where there’s 4 x One SL + Beam? And does it make any sense? How about to a room with 2 x One SL?   Thanks!

We have a Sonos beam with integrated Alexa. It’s always worked well but over the last couple of days she’s started saying ‘volume up / down receiver HDMI’ every time we change the volume on the TV. I can’t find any way to turn this off and was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem and how to fix it. Many thanks in advance.

Hello I just purchased a Sonos Port in order to connect my Beosound 3200. I ordered this cable and connected to the AUX in my B&O system, and to the “out” on my Sonos Port. Nothing is happening, no sound no music. Tried both Sonos App and AirPlay. i tried on another system I have (a Yamaha soundbar) amd works perfectly.    attached is the cable I have. It is a 7DIN, now waiting to receive a 5DIN hoping it would work.    do you know why Sonos port is not working?

I am an Apple ignoramus. My wife wants to use iTunes on her Mac to send to our Sonos system using Airplay. However the Sonos support page just talks about iPad/iPhone w.r.t. Airplay and when I look on her Mac, the Airplay options only show our Apple TVs as destinations. Can a Mac not use Airplay to Sonos gear?
