I know one can create a group of Sonos speakers within the Sonos app. What I am hoping to do is to create groups of speakers (Sonos and Google Home / Mini devices) using the Google Home app. I can see the Sonos speakers in the Google Home App as visible devices, but I can not seem to include any Sonos speaker as part of the groups. Am I missing something or is this not a possibility? If not, any plans to revise this? The Sonos integration with the Google Voice system is great, but if the voice commands work to play on "Whole House"... I would love for it to include my top of the line Sonos speakers. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there, I would like to know if Sonos move gives a mono sound or a stereo sound on its own? Tanks

hi all, i have a mix of wired and wireless units around the house inside and out. The colours on the matrix change often with sometimes red showing but the system works without dropouts.  As you can see on the screenshot there are several undefined devices. i have several root bridges, not all devices have the noise floor info and OFDM info also. I have my managed switch with STP on, but this setting makes no difference to the squares showing that the STP is forwarding, this is the same state with the STP turned on or off on my switch. I've also made sure all devices have their IP listed in the DHCP table of my router so they get the same IP every time. looking for some help thank you

I am getting a “network problem” error message when I try to do a Trueplay tune on any of the Sonos devices on my system.  I’ve submitted a diagnostic - the number is: 961276926 Here is the error messge: Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks.

I have been connected for days at a time, even able to start the music, but if I want to change the station on Pandora, Sonos claims that it’s lost the connection. I bought a Boost, thinking it might help, but that’s done absolutely nothing to help. I have two Sonos One speakers which I did pair for stereo, then split them again when we want to use them in separate rooms, but it’s been split for days. I’ll reset the network connection on my iPhone and it’ll come back allowing me to change the station, but going in just minutes later on a perfectly functioning network, Sonos again claims that its lost the connection to Pandora.  This has become frustrating beyond belief.

Hi all, I have a very nice 5.1 full sonos SetUp; 4x Sonos OneSL + PlayBar + Sub Listening to TV is great with the central sound coming from the PlayBar under the TV Experience with Music is not good because we can not TurnOff the PlayBar without having off also the Surround….. How can I set-up my installation to listen music only with the OneSL+Sub WITOUT the PlayBar ?( way too much presence of the PlayBar) Thanks to all !!

Just would like to know if I can enjoy sound from my SONOS system with a Bluetooth headphones by connecting a Bluetooth transmitter like Sennheiser BT-T100 (with digital input) with SONOS Port’s digital out?

I use my Amp to allow me to use my Monitor Audio Bronze 2 Stereo speakers. I have now ordered a Sub which I want to use with this set up but have a concern. Will it integrate and perform the way it should? ie. will the Sub take the bass sounds 'away' from the MABs, deliver enhanced bass and allow them to deliver 'better' mids and highs?

I have just purchased the beam, two sonos ones as surround sound and it makes a massive difference to my TV experience so far BUT   My TV is a samsung smart tv and when I insert media, movie or via USB. I have two options of sound mode PCM and DOLBY DIGITAL   Which is best to get the best surround sound for my system

Hi there, I may be way off base here, so apologies in advance, but I couldn’t find a clear answer anywhere. I have an older Play:3 (and some other stuff, but the rest doesn’t really matter for now) that does not work with Airplay 2. I also have a record player. As such, I was considering getting a Port to connect my record player to my audio system., but have a few assumptions/questions:   I understand that the Port supports Airplay 2. I understand the Port will connect my record player to my existing system. I assume the Port will work with the Play:3, and therefore my record player will work with the Play:3. If my understandings and assumption above are correct, then will I be able to use Airplay 2 from my iPhone (let’s assume in Spotify), play via Port, and then choose the Play:3 to play music through, effectively giving the Play:3 Airplay 2 support? Again, apologies if I’m missing something. I hope I’m right, but reckon I’m probably wrong here :)

I am located in the USA and I get the error saying its not available however a few days prior it would allow me to add the service but I never completed the setup. Am I missing something here? Don't see a location or language setting that would now cause this error.

I have a pair of One SLs wall mounted in a smallish sIzed bedroom configured in stereo for use with Apple Music and Airplaying from phones.  They sound great but I feel like a Sub might help give a fuller sound.  Would the Sub be overkill?  Can the sub be configured to work with the two SLs in a 2.1 setup?  Cheers.

For years i have enjoyed access to radio all over the world and yet recently I am advised that my access is restricted and I now need to log onto Radio Denon.com to access the radio stations. On so doing, I am requested to pay a fee. Anybody know why this is the case?

Hi - I recently purchased a SONOS One SL to use as a computer monitor. The problem is that my iMac (2019 model, macOS Catalina 10.15.4) keeps reverting to the internal speaker and I have to reacquire the SONOS. It is annoying. Has anyone found a way to permanently keep the SONOS speaker connected? I have tried setting it to the SONOS in Settings, and it keeps changing back when there is no sound. I asked support, and they told me that it is the operating system, which they did not write, which I pretty much knew already.

I’m working with 8 Sonos Connect devices, plugged into a managed switch. The Sonos devices are daisy-chained in a pair of four. Meaning they’re only 2 total network cables connecting to the switch. I quickly learned about the issues w/ STP/Broadcast storms after having plugged more than 1 of these devices into the network. I was able to find a helpful document on configuring STP on the Dell switch to accommodate this. Even so, I ended up plugging in a small, unmanaged switch solely for these two Sonos connections, and a downlink connection from the unmanaged switch to the Dell PowerConnect. This seems to have alleviated the issue with STP. Here are some questions I’d love answered, if some of you can spread the knowledge. What is the exact, technical reason plugging two Sonos connects into a managed switch leads to a broadcast/STP issue? Aside from the solution, I’d like to have an understanding of what internally is going on.   I added the unmanaged switch to remove the issue. Would y

Today my Play:3 died with the unpleasant smell of crispy electronics. Since it’s well out of warranty, I thought I’d have a look and found that the PSU had suffered the fate of many-a Play:3 with an exploding capacitor. Looks like mine has destroyed the tracks around about it and given Sonos have done nothing despite knowing about a large number of identical failures, and the latest dropping of “old” kit, I’ll be getting rid of all my Sonos gear and replacing it with reliable kit from someone else. Extremely disappointed.  Anyone got any recommendations for who to look at? Preferably a company that cares about its install base of course.

Hi Guys, How would somebody join the Sonos S2 beta? Am already signed up and agreed to the beta program. Cheers G

Hi - How can I be sure if my CONNECT:AMP is GEN 1 or 2 and whether it is compatible with the S2 app ?

Hello,   Is there any word on when there will be a successor to the Playbar / Playbase (ie a Playbar 2.0)?    I’ve recently begun enjoying a Beam and was doing a lot of comparison shopping before hand. It seems the Playbar is woefully out of date in terms of technology (No HDMI port? No Apple Airplay compatibility? It’s 2020 now...)  I understand by all accounts that the Playbar sounds nice. But all Sonos products sound nice! I’d love to have something a bit more substantial for my home theatre setup than the Beam, but I’m really struggling to see the cost justification. So does anyone know of any new generation or new product line coming down the pipe?   Thanks   James

Simple question;   Will it still be possible to use the old Amp for driving rears together with a new AMP when the legacy-split is effected or will the old amp then “hold back” all of my new speakers?   I will have all my amps located in an AVR-cabinet so could save a lot  if I could buy 1 new AMP for fronts and supplement with buying a used Connect Amp for rears which sells at around 1/5 of the cost of the new Amp.    Probably a long-shot but understanding is that the AMP driving the fronts defines the group so I wanted to check.

Diagnostic: 1236867488   Sonos Boost connected to turntable, unlistenable today. Nothing strange happending on the network. Tried resetting the network and changing the wireless channel, no change. Set-up Playbar, Sub, 2 * Play:1’s Gen 1 2 Play:5s Gen 1 Play:5 Gen 2

I’d like to add to my system and torn between the price difference.  the living room is 15’x30’ (typical), we have the TV and Playbar in the corner.  I’d like to add two more speakers.  If I can get away with purchasing a One and One SL - I want to do that.  However, the ceiling speakers look really clean, but at that price - is the quality really so much better or is the higher price just covering the style of being in the ceiling - I’m assuming the higher price with the amp produces a way more awesome sound. Can someone provide thoughts on the difference in sound between the two when added to a Playbar? How about Ceiling speakers compared to One/One SL/Sub - what group is a better sound?

hello   i am getting the unable to browse music message whenever i try and search for an artist or album from the sonos app or my pc.   i have removed and relinked amazon music many times and nothing works.    any ideas

Hiya all, I have a CR200 that I have not used in ages but with the coming May2020 S1/S2 split date, I am keen to get my CR200 reconnected to my system so I have this legacy gem in a working state before it’s too late.   My system software version is v11 and the controller will not connect. I have seen all of old history on here where downgrades are required etc before upgrading with the CR200 connected. My questions to the community are as follows;   I would like to know the latest sonos software version known to work with the CR200. (assuming the CR200 was connected long ago). So please fellow Sonos users, if you could reply with a simple “mine is running today on system software xxx” it would be greatly appreciated so I can work out what version I will cap out at when I get my beloved controller connected.   Cheers for your contribution and please stay sae in the COVID era. Dean
