Is there any way to Reorder Music Sources, so that my most used are at the top and I don't have to go through the whole list of music services to get to my TV source? If not, please consider this a feature request. Thanks,

Anyone out there know if it's possible to shuffle the order of the 'music sources' that appear in your list (desktop app)? Same question for the 'browse' menu in the mobile app. Thx!

Hello all! I've chatted with Sonos support on Twitter regarding my issue, but I am not entirely convinced by their answer. Here is my setup: [list=1] [*]Two Sonos Play:1 stereo pairs, spread over four rooms. [*]One Play:5 in the fifth room. [*]I end up with three groups, group1 (stereo pair), group2 (stereo pair) and group3 (single stereo speaker). [/list]After linking my Sonos with Google Assistant through the app, all the three groups be seen I the Google Home app. Here is where the fun begins. If I say to my Google Home: "Play music on Sonos", "Play next on Sonos", "play previous on Sonos", I get responses like "OK, playing music on [name of the Sonos group name]" (I don't know how Google Home decides which one. Say, this is not a big deal... However, if I say "set volume to 20% on Sonos" or "turn it up / down on Sonos", only the volume on one of the Sonos groups is changed. If I want to change the volume on all of the groups, I have to give the command for each group sepa

I have a Onkyo receiver pushing my 5.1 surround in my living room and Sonos Amp pushing my 6 channel zone 2 through speaker selector. My center channel sucks in my living room and was hoping to add the Beam. I stream tv mostly through YoutubeTV so that is only stereo. If if I hook up Beam to my TV optical out on my TV could I use that but also use the receiver for surround at the same time (when not only stereo feed)? THANK YOU!

Since a few days ago my Alexa will not work on Sonos. So I unlinked my account and now I can't link it back together. I keep getting "Oops! Amazon can not connect to Sonos" I have tried signing out of all Amazon apps/products and my email addresses are both the same. Nothing is working and I'm really starting to get frustrated and mad here. Anyone know what else to do or try?

Installed Google Assistant. Right speaker microphone light is out and button unresponsive. Google assistant only active on left speaker. Meanwhile, music (I use Apple Music) works fine both speakers + sub. Ideas? Thank you.

Hi, I have a very basic setup with a Project 2 Turntable, a Cambridge Audio Pre-amp, an older style Connect Amp and some third party Quad speakers. I simply want to use the AMP to power my turntable and play through the speakers but can't seem to get any sound despite having followed the official guide. Can anyone suggest anything? I am using the 'Line in' mode on the app and I can see soundbars going up and down as if it's receiving the signal but no sound through my speakers at all. I've attached some photos of my setup. The other Cambridge Amp in the photo is redundant. Hello, I’m searching for a 4K Ultra HD blu ray player THAT SUPPORT BOTH HDR10 AND DOLBY VISION that can convert DTS audio to Dolby Digital 5.1 on the fly. Now I’m using the Xbox One X that can convert audio correctly, but that support HDR10 only. For sure I L le that new LG UP970 that can manage Dolby Vision, cannot convert audio. I have an ASUS router (RT-AC88U) with both wired and wireless speaker connections. I have an ASUS repeater (RP-AC68U) connected (wireless) to the router. Finally i have one speaker that is hard wired to the repeater. Everything works great. I can group all of the speakers if I want. I can control the music anywhere on the network. However, the Sonos app insists there is a problem and pops an error message when I do just about anything in the app. It doesn't impact the functionality, but it is annoying as it comes up all. the. time. Hi, I would like to AirPlay discrete 5.1 from my Mac or iPhone XS to a Sonos Beam. My Sonos Beam is grouped with two Play: 3s as LS + RS speakers. When I connect to AirPlay and open Audio MIDI Setup, AirPlay only has the option of 2 outputs, and can't be configured for 5.1 surround. Similarly, everything I stream from my Mac or iPhoneXS is downmixed to stereo. How do I get discrete 5.1 setup using Airplay ? If it's not possible, how can I get discrete 5.1 surround from my Mac to either a Sonos Beam or Playbar ? My Macbook Pro doesn't support ARC HDMI or Optical Audio Out. Hi, I'd love advice on the best audio setup for my home theater. It consists of: - Apple TV 4K - LG C8 TV - Sonos Playbar + Sonos PLAY:5 for rear surrounds Questions I had: 1. For the Apple TV, is "Dolby Digital 5.1" the right setting for Audio Format? I thought it should be "Auto / Dolby Atmos," but that results in the TV outputting just stereo to the Playbar. 2. For some reason, the LG Smart TV YouTube TV app outputs Dolby Digital 2.0, and the ATV 4K YouTube TV app outputs Stereo. Any idea why this would be happening? Are there other differences in audio format between LG and Apple TV apps? Thanks!

HI recently an upgrade allowed Alexa groups which meant that I would no longer need to include room name when asking Alexa to play music on my sonos speakers. However am unsure how to do this unless I have an Alexa device in each of my 5 rooms as seems that as I have 3 Alexa devices 2x dots and 1x spot I would be limiting the device to a specific room. Can you help me clarify whether alexa groups feature can work in my situation as not needing to name room would simplify things. Tthanks Russ

So I moved into a new condo and my old place my roommate has a playbase and I bought the Sonos sub. When I moved to my new place I decided to keep my Play:5 in my bedroom (which is slight overkill for a high-rise condo bedroom, but I love that the aux cord can take over when we go on a cabin trip and don't have to worry about finding a Airbnb router). Moved an old Play:1 to the bathroom and now I have two Ones as the rear (so they have Alexa). Long story short, I have Alexa taken care of, but I'm torn between the playbase and playbar. I bought the playbar about 2 weeks ago (so I'm within the 45 days to return) and enjoy it a lot. However, I miss airplay2 streaming when I'm in the kitchen. I hate when I'm cooking that I have to fire up the Sonos app and then change songs/volume or I have to keep my TV on to stream through the Apple TV. My Sonos One is registered to my address in the U.S., but I brought it with me to Europe. Google Assistant works fine most of the time and can be used to put on songs from Youtube Music. However, occasionally, Google Assistant puts on a version of the song that seems to be inaccessible in the EU region. For instance, if I ask it to play Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" or "Bad Blood", it says, e.g., "Okay, putting on Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space'". However, the song is then immediately paused before it even starts playing, and a window is shown, saying that "Playback paused because this account is being used in another location". However, this is wrong; my account is not being used elsewhere, and most other songs work fine. On closer inspection, I realized that the version of Blank Space it puts on is called "Blank Space – Taylor Swift ⋅ 1989 (Deluxe Edition)". It’s great that we can now drop the “Alexa, play [u]in the lounge[/u]”, when the instruction is given in the lounge!! But how do you identify which Sonos device is in which room, using the Alexa app, when the device names listed are different to those displayed in the Sonos app??!! My Sonos system has changed over time, with speakers being moved from one room to another as my system has grown. As a result, there is a mismatch between the device names I see in my Sonos app (in Settings->Room, which, incidentally, are also different to what I see listed under Setting->About my Sonos System) and what I see listed when I want to add devices to groups using the Alexa app. How do I resolve this confusion? For example, the Alexa app lists a Sonos device called “Den”. It’s one of my speakers for sure, but I’ve never called any room the “Den” and vaguely recall this being named by a Sonos engineer on a support call. But a device called “den” is nowhere to be found in my Sonos app!

Hi, I'm in the throws of a project to create an NFC jukebox - you'd have a deck of cards with album covers and track listings printed on them, wave whichever you desire over a box, and it would start playing on the Sonos. I'm using a Raspberry Pi and Python. There are a few similar projects out there using older standards (SoCo - which doesn't make use of the new API, is very widely used), but I would like to use the new API. My interaction with it should be fairly simple, but I would like to give a user the ability to 'write' a playlist to a new card (so, they'd press a button, an LED would light up, they'd place the card on the reader and the playlist would then be associated with that card). Is there any way (via the API) to determine the playlist id of what's currently playing (or return nothing if it's not a playlist)? Thanks in anticipation!

Just bought a new Beam and trying to connect it to the TV Arc port. When I connect the HDMI cable and then search for the Arc receiver on my Samsung TV it says it can’t connect. I’m trying to connect to a Samsung F9000 UHD TV, I have confirmed the Arc receiver is turned on on the TV, however it doesn’t connect. I have also tried changing the TV speaker setting to ‘receiver’ which is supposed to be the Arc supported device and ‘external speakers’ yet Beam will not connect. Don’t know if it’s a Beam issue, TV issue, or cable issue, if anyone could help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, wonder if this is common or if I'm a lucky one! I ask my Sonos 1 'play radio 1' it replies 'bbc radio 1 from Tune-in' but no sound plays. [list] [*]Same with asking it to play from my Amazon music Library (Prime). It says 'playing X on Amazon music' but no sound plays. [*]If I manually play the same radio or music via the Sonos App it all works fine. [*]In the Alexa app the Sonos skill is present and enabled. [*]I've tried restarting my router and Sonos devices. [*]I've uninstalled the voice controls and re-installed them. [/list] There is an echo dot in the house that uses Alexa to play from My Amazon music library and Tune-in radio just fine. I have just updated the controller software on two android devices (to 10.2). The previously available 'Connect to Sonosnet' option has gone and the devices can no longer see the sonos wireless network. This was really useful as my home network coverage is not good in some areas - sonos fixed that! Is this change deliberate or am I being stupid?

I currently have two Play:1 speakers and an Apple TV and would like to purchase a projector to use as my TV. Can you please recommend any HD projectors that I can use as my TV that will be compatible with with any of the Sonos products that will allow me to connect to apple TV (Play:5, Beam, or Playbar)?
