Everyone-- Hello. I've recently bought Sonos speakers for our living room setup (Playbase, Sub and Play:1's). When I'm listening to Music through the speakers, everything sounds great. However, when I listen to anything which is routed through my TV (Cable or AppleTV). There is some random cutting in and out of the sound. It still somewhat plays, but gets very quiet and then will go back to normal sound or will sound like it loses the surround sound aspect of it. Here is my setup. Samsung TV - UN65MU8000FXZA - Digital Audio cable from TV to Sonos TimeWarner Cable Box - Connected to TV via HDMI cable Apple TV - Connected to TV via HDMI cable Is there any fix for this? Helpful hints to make sure I have my TV set up correctly through the digital audio cable? Thanks!

Have an epson 2150 hooked to a sonos 5. The sound comes through and also can be grouped with other sonos speakers. The sound however is several seconds behind the video (very annoying for watching movies). When the sound comes through the projector it is synced. Is there a setting in either the Epson, sonos or perhaps both that adjust this audio lag? Thanks Glenn Bonagura

Hi! I just helped my parents bye a Sonos Beam to get better music experience when watching TV and concerts. It’s all connected and fine. But I can’t turn the music up high! What should I do?

We have been hearing for over a year now regarding the Google Assistant integration. When is this going to happen? The Alexa assistance is horrible.

One of my Android controllers upgraded itself to 10.2 today (despite NOT having auto update enabled) and lost connectivity. A few days ago this controller, which I stress did NOT have auto update enabled started to update its software from 10.0 and I managed to prevent this. Initially, I wasn't too bothered since sonos touted their update as 'performance and reliability improvements' and didn't think any issue would ensue. Generally I do like to run updates. In order to keep things level and have a hope of keeping my devices with the same version (i.e functional) I updated my other controllers. 10.2 I later found has prevented access of my wireless controllers to sonosnet. So, now, when I'm stood next to a wired player, which is a considerable physical distance from my router I now have to walk with my phone (or other wireless controller) so that I'm within connectivity distance to my router's reception so that I can control the features of the device that I was stood next to. I

One of my Sonos 3 speakers was lost from my system and I can't reconnect it. My daughter was running it from the app on her iPhone, but I use the Sonos controller. The speaker is no longer listed in my rooms. Tried everything. I sent in a diagnostic, conf # 101785643 that you can check. Any suggestions? Rick

After the outage earlier today I finally have everything working and I couldn't be happier (I can play, pause and change volume on my old Play 3s with my voice which is all I wanted for two years now). But it's a little unfortunate that in a room with (1) a Google home and (2) a sonos speaker, I still have to append "on the kitchen Sonos" to my requests to begin playing music (otherwise the music plays on the answering Google device). The Google home app lets you configure what the default device is for playing music, and it lists not only my various Google speakers but also my vizio TVs on the network, etc., but it strangely doesn't list my sonos speakers. Is there a way to make this happen?

My TV is a dinosaur, no optical, two HDMI, NOT ARC, etc. Can I connect my Beam to my receiver as a workaround for an old TV? If that doesn't work, is the next best option using a HDMI Arc converter? Thanks

i have a ONE speaker connecting my laptops around the rooms. I find i cannot play the audio from TV with the speaker. because i am thinking to buy the beam, i would like to check if i can use them paired for these purposes: -playing music from laptop with ONE/beam/ONE+beam -playing videos from TV with audio output with ONE/beam/ONE+beam thanks

I have two Sonos systems, in different locations, each with an Echo Dot on the same WIFI. I have one Amazon account to access Alexa. How can I setup Alexa to work with both systems? Setting up one system goes as expected, and I choose which of the two systems I want to connect. The choice of system is a radio button, and I cannot choose both systems. When I try to setup the second system, Alexa cannot find any Sonos speakers, using the add devices feature of the Alexa app. If I disable the Sonos Alexa skill and reenable it, I am able to connect to the second Sonos system (again, by choosing it), but now cannot connect to the first. Is it possible to use Alexa with two different Sonos system?

Apologies as this is the second vinyl question I’m asking in less than a week, but I recently received some conflicting information from a friend vs. what I read on here last week... I have an existing Sonos setup with (playbar, sub, and 2 play 1s). I want to introduce a turntable to the mix and know I need get a connect or a connect amp with a line-in. I want to use my existing Sonos speakers only and have no external speakers to add. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but in the above scenario I should be fine with just the connect, as I don’t need an amp? Is that correct. My friend is telling me I still need the amp to get the “right sound”, but I don’t think he’s right Also, any recommendations on a great turntable that won’t break the bank? Thank you all again!

Will the phantom center speaker, produced by the Sonos Amp, be of lower quality if the Amp is fed only a stereo input signal, compared to if the Amp is fed a true 5.1 surround input signal?

I have a playbar connected to my LG OLED 55" TV via optical connection. I would like to add rear surround speakers. I was considering a pair of Play1s for this purpose. However, since the Architectural in Ceiling speakers are now available would this be a good option? there are a pair of unused speakers from my house's original owner already in place in the ceiling so this would be an easy install. Questions: [list=1] [*] Dolby surround speakers are supposed to be 1 foot above ear level. Would using "ambient" speakers at ceiling level degrade the listening experience? [*]. I realize the Architectural in Ceiling speakers were intended to be used with the Sonos AMP. However, I have an unused Connect AMP. Would it be possible to use this unit, instead? if it is possible: would I loose performance or features by doing so? [*]Would I still need to run Ethernet cables to the Playbar and the Connect AMP? Hello, new to Sonos products. Just purchased a Playbar and Sub. Ive seen the 5.1 setups by adding two Sonos Ones. In place of the Ones, could I side Play 3 or Play 5 speakers to complete the 5.1? Anyone have any advantages/disadvantages of those in place? I’m not really concerned about the extra $ of the 3s and 5s.

i have two plays 1 and a beam setup and would like to hang the plays on the sofa sides. Do you have any recommendation for a sofa which is close to the wall? See picture. Hi all, I’m planning on moving my 2 x Play 1 speakers from behind my sofa to two different walls either side of the sofa. Is there a minimum/maximum height I should place the speakers to ensure I still get the same surround sound? Needs to be child proof too which is part of the reason for moving them. Thanks!

Hi Have a room less than 200 square feet I use for my man cave, have a bit of a noise problem in my community. Looking at the Playbase +2 Play:1 speakers for watching TV and listening to music, mostly watching TV. Is this a reasonable set up and will I able to use my[b][u] android[/u][/b] phone to configure to the room? Thanks in advance for any feedback. fjwag3

how to change background color in the sonos app

Have just downloaded the latest app update for both iPad and iPhone. The on my device is there on my iPad but not there on iPhone. I have deleted the app and re installed but it is not there.

Can one change "ALEXA Name" to "Computer" I'm able to change in echo dot but will not allow me on Sonos One Should of said [b]wake word[/b] to computer Thx Michel

I see sonos is not in google home control. But when I try to add it, it prompts me to log into my sonos account and it successfully logs in. But but at the end it fails to link with sonos. All devices on lates firmware update. And all controllers are updated.

Hi all, I'm having great difficulty with the alexa app. not finding it at all user friendly. I have a sonos one which is connected to my system in my lounge and working ok. I have a play one in my bedroom that I wish to connect an echo dot to. The dot is already signed into my Amazon account. I cannot find how to connect it to my play one as all help I have seen says to enable sonos skill and follow instructions. Sonos skill is already enable when I set up sonos one. How do I pair an echo dot with a play one. grateful for any help thank you

When I startup the Sonos app, it always shows some music playing, when actually there is no sound coming from the Play:1 speakers. I assume it is the last music I was playing on the speakers days or weeks ago. I then select a music playlist and click on Play or Shuffle and the music I just selected plays just fine. So how can I "STOP" the music from looking like something is playing on the Sonos app?....not just pause it?

One of our sonos play1s occasionally fades in and out of music when paired with the other sonos play1 and the sound bar. So when they are all playing together this happens. Please advise

I have 6 sonos:1 and a sonos:3. Suddenly one of the sonos:1's is no longer on my list as a speaker on desktop app or phone. Has a solid white light. When I unplug and wait 30 mins and plug back in, still solid white light. I tried the factory reset by holding the "play/pause" button while plugging in the speaker, but still just have a solid white light. What is the solution? Why wont it factory reset?
