I seem to be one of a number of Sonos owners who is having trouble with the latest controller update to 9.3. Some controller devices seem to have achieved a 9.3 update however, all my PC and ipad and android phone devices still start up with a request to update everything. The only way I can partially access my Sonos system is overriding the update and click on 'continue using controller'. This only shows some of the rooms being available for use as other rooms are greyed out and inaccessible. However, even trying to use the Sonos system this way, all media sources keep cutting out after seconds/minutes for a short time. I have submitted a diagnostic report 879747506. Nothing has changed on my system for several years. Nothing has been moved etc. A similar problem occurred a few years ago which was also most frustrating and it took Sonos to release an update 'fix' before my system returned to normal. Any help?

I have several sonos speakers throughout my house. Before the update I was able to group my speakers in my Sonos app (example: TV room) and tell Alexa to play music in TV and it would play on all the speakers that are grouped with TV room. Now when I say play music on TV room it only plays on the one speaker. How do I get Alexa to play on multiple speakers with one command?

Hi, I have two Play 1 speakers which I control with an Echo dot. The speakers are called 'Conservatory' and 'Everywhere' and on the Sonos app I have grouped the two speakers into a 'room'. This allows me to say 'Alexa Play Music Everywhere'. Recently I have found frequently the room (group) loses its setting (two to three times day at least). Sometimes it can be playing music fine then when you ask Alexa to play a different song the grouping is lost. It is probably worth adding that one of the speakers (Conservatory) uses a Wifi access point (with the same SSID). The Sonos speakers are set to automatically update. The speakers have only recently started de-grouping in the last few weeks, is anyone else having this issue or have I set it up wrong? Any help appreciated! Gruss

I would like to have continuous music playing - like cox cable music for 24 hours or more. I don't want to leave my computer or phone on the entire time. Do I have any options with Sonos???

Hi I have a 5.1 setup (Playbar, sub and two PLAY:1) and a Philips 55POS9002/12 TV. All of a sudden, TV-sound starts stuttering when TV sound is set to Multichannel or Multichannel (Bypass). When in Stereo, sound works. I have had this setup for months without any issues, but I believe the problem was introduced with the latest SONOS update :-(. Does anyone else have this problem? Wondering if someone can please explain what I need to do to get Dolby digital setting on my samsung tv. The Dolby digital option is greyed out and won’t let me change to anything only thing it allows me to select is pcm. I’m using a beam and 2x play ones in the about my sonos section of the app it says my audio input is stereo. There doesn’t seem to be a way for me to change my tv settings, when I try and change them on my Xbox it says to make sure my receiver is able to support (5.1 uncompressed) and when I change my sky a settings to Dolby digital the sound from the soundbar stops. I seem to only be able to receive stereo with this beam and it’s very frustrating

My new Sonos Beam is connected to my TCL TV with a HDMI Arc. I've then installed Amazon Alexa on my beam. If my TV is turned on, and I say : 1. "Alexa, turn [b]off[/b] TV", she responds with "OK" and IT WORKS 2. "Alexa, turn [b]on[/b] TV", she responds with "OK" and IT WORKS 3. If I wait 2-3 minutes with my TV turned off, and then tries to turn it back on with Alexa, she responds "OK" but nothing happens. I then have to turn the TV on manually. She responds perfectly with any other commands I give her, regarding Spotify etc. But there seems to be some kind of problem between Sonos beam/Alexa and my TCL TV. Does anyone know about this problem, and a possible solution? Greetings, Alexander

Adjusting the volume on the Sonos app while playing music will also adjust my iPhone ring volume. How do I separate the volume control as such that the speaker volume control is independent?

I've sold our Boost and Sonos speakers but they are associated with my email address. How can I delete my account so the new owners can create their own account? I don't want to just change the email to theirs because our usage data would be visible. I can't make changes via the App because I no longer have the Sonos equipment.

Hi, Today i received my second play 1 and i installed them as surround together with the beam. Here is the situation. My tv: Samsung UE48H6400 I use the shield tv for watching tv (iptv), netflix and kodi. Shield tv -> HDMI 1 Sonos Beam -> HDMI Arc When i watch something through netflix i do not get a surround sound. When i check about my sonos it says silence. Can anyone help?

I have a pair of Play:5's (gen2) that I use a a stereo pair for listening to music and I have a Playbar attached to the TV that I use for normal TV viewing. On occasion of watching a movie (a couple of times per month), I would like to use the Play:5's as a Surround Sound pair attached to the Playbar. This will involve me physically moving them and re-configuring them within Sonos (so it is not something I do often), but how do I go about doing this (ie un-configuring the stereo pair and re-configuring them as Playbar Surrounds) and then also putting them back as a Stereo pair afterwards? I just purchased a complete surround system with a playbase, sub and pair of ones. My TV is an older 65" Panasonic Elite with 2 HDMI ports. I have Direct TV and an Apple TV I am trying to use and both are connected to the 2 HDMI ports. It does have an opitical port so I thought it would connect pretty easily. Following the connection process, I get video but no audio from the Sonos. The only way I could get audio is going directly into the satellite box with the optical and it works fine. The problem is, I cant use the apple TV that way. I am not sure if the optical port isnt working, or if there is another option to get this to work. I would hate to have to take back all this great equipment, but if I cant use all devices, its not helpful. Thoughts or ideas for work arounds would be great. Thanks

I have tried many different fixes to get my Sonos system to play correctly and it seems like nothing is working. I have 3 Sonos Connect: Amps and one Sonos Connect. All 4 are in my media cabinet and hardwired to an unmanaged network switch that is directly downstream of my main AP (Google Wifi). Because the Sonos systems are all hardwired into the network, I have WiFi for them turned off. Currently my network is set-up as follows: Fiber D-Mark ISP Provided Router/ Modem with Wifi turned off Google Wifi Main AP Unmanaged Switch Sonos Connect: Amp x3 + Sonos Connect I keep losing connection to the Sonos and getting the "Unable to Connect To Sonos Player" message as well as "Unable to add song to queue" messages while streaming from Spotify. Sometimes it will lose a room entirely, I've even had it lose 3 out of the 4 rooms. I have gone through and assigned static IP's on the Google Wifi so it doesn't assign a used IP address. I've completely factory reset them and re-learned th

So, we have 2 sonos play:1 speakers. I would like to be able to stream from bbc player radio but understand I can do this with sonos: one using airplay. So, my question is: if I get a sonos:one to connect to the current network will I be able to stream the player to the current speakers I have. So we currently have a speaker on ground floor, and one on top floor (of a three storey house) I'd want to listen to the player though just one speaker that may or not be the sonos:one. Hope this makes sense, ask me questions if you need further explanation.

So Alexa can now play Apple Music but....when I ask her to play X on Apple Music on "Sonos Device" it says not supported. Apple music works fine on the echo dots. Another short fall? Seriously Alexa can't play apple music on my Sonos?

I would like to add my old Hi-Fi as a source that can be played over my Sonos network as well as being able to play digital sources (my NAS and streaming services) through the old HiFi. I know the latter is possible with a Sonos Connect and I know that the Connect can accept an incoming source via RCA inputs but I am having trouble working out my particular Hi -Fi will output what is required and, if so, via which connections. Does anyone have any experience or can look into this to help? The HiFi is a Technics SA-EH760.

Alexa will respond but won’t play music on my sonos one. It stopped working a few days ago and I’ve tried resetting it but no sucess. Anyone else have this issue and find a solution?

I currently have two separate Sonos systems under one roof/one WIFI. The first system is the original system (whole house) that I installed throughout my home, that consists of the following: - Sonos CR-200 controller (original) - Zone Player ZP90 (Connected to the router) - 8 Play 5's - 2 Play 3's - 2 play 1's The second system, installed more recently for my home theater is a Sonos Playbar, 2 Play 1's and Sonos Sub. Both systems can be seen on my Ethernet system/WiFi when I run an IP scanner on my network. When I launch the Sonos app on my iPhone 8+, (most of the time) the app displays/connects to the home theater system and sometimes the app connects to the whole-house system. Is there any way for the Sonos App (IOS) to allow choose/select either system? Right now, I can control the Home Theater system via the Sonos App and can only control the Whole-House system via the CR-200 controller. Thanks, John

Is there any planned update to the system to allow Alexa to default to Apple Music on Sonos speakers? I was able to do it on my echo dots, but my Sonos One and Beam are left out in the cold. Apple music is my default music provider.

I keep getting error code 4 on one of my Play Ones. I have tried plugging it straight into the Ethernet but it won’t update. 385674533 What next please?

My TV supports ARC on one of two HDMI ports, where I currently connect my new Beam (works great!). I want to connect two devices to the other HDMI as input, and plan to use an HDMI switch. In this setup, should an HDMI switch support ARC to connect both an Apple TV and Nintendo Switch on the input (non-ARC) port?
