I just purchased a Sonos Beam and Sony 900f. The Sonos beam is plugged in via the Sony HDMI eARC port, and the TV will initially turn on. However, after I turn the TV off and it's off for an extended period of time (perhaps 12+ hours), the TV will not turn back on. Nothing else is plugged into the Sony TV or the Sonos beam and both are running the latest updates. I tried doing a factory reset on the Sony TV, same issue. I'm pretty sure this problem only started after I hooked up the Beam and likely only occurs with the Sonos Beam hooked up. I unplugged the beam from the TV tonight and expect all will be working fine tomorrow. Is this a known issue with the Sonos Beam and 900f when running current firmware / OS? Thanks. Paul

I have a Beam, and 2 ones surround. After last update, TV sound cuts out around every couple minutes. Music is fine. Doesn't matter if I am watching live TV or recorded TV. This is very annoying. My beam and 2 ones completely cut out and not present on the controller a couple of weeks ago. Unplugged the Beam and re-connected, it came back. Have a Samsung UN55JS700DF, HDMI arc from TV to Beam.

Can I still use Beam with a TV that have neither an HDMI ARC connector, nor an optical output?

Hello, I have a LG Oled C8 and I want to pair the remote with my playbase so I can control the volume with the magic remote. I have read articles like [url=http://support.sonos.com/s/article/3479?language=en_US]this one[/url], but I'm already stuck in the first part, because when I set up a sound bar with optical output, I never get the option to choose my manufacturer. The remote for the 2018 model is slightly different than the one is the article btw. Hi all, I'm very new to Sonos (have owned a Sonos One for about 3-weeks and I love it!) I have tried searching to no avail. Everything comes back saying that Alexa Routines are unavailable on the Sonos One, which I understand, but, with Prime Day coming soon, I was looking into an Echo Dot and didn't know if you can use the Sonos One as a speaker for the Echo Dot routine? Can I do the following: 1. On the Echo Dot, say "good morning". The Echo Dot will respond with some pre-determined phrase like "good morning". 2. The Echo Dot will then give me a weather update. 3. Then the Alexa Routine will play TuneIn Radio on the Sonos One. Many thanks in advance.

I have currently one Sonos play 3 and am looking at buying a Sonos beam sound at for a new Sony tv I was just wondering if I am able to connect the beam to the play 3 and use both speakers for TV sound? Thanks in advance

I'm doing a renovation at the cottage, and added 3 Sonos:CONNECT to drive in-ceiling, porch and wall speakers. Initially I hard wired a PLAY-1 to the back of the router, and that enabled the Sonos network to the rest. It worked, but sometimes dropped sync between them. I finally got around to hard wiring the new Sonos:CONNECT. I daisy chained 2 CONNECT to the router, and initially let the other CONNECT and PLAY-1 use the sonos wireless network. I then ran a new Cat6 line to the 3rd CONNECT that isn't located with the other 2, and tested the line. The hardwire line worked great with the computer, but as soon as I plugged in the 3rd CONNECT, the whole network crashed. No WiFi or internet anywhere. After lots of trial and error, I discovered that if I connected this new Cat6 network as a daisy chain from the basement CONNECT, and NOT directly from a port on the router, it worked again (after rebooting the router). Hi all - running across a strange issue. I have a Sonos Beam connected to my TV. I have several other devices connected that all output audio without issue (cable box, PS4, etc). However, when I dock my Nintendo Switch to play on my TV, I simply get no audio through the Beam. Interestingly, my TV also changes to my Beam's input whenever I connect the Switch. When I switch back to the Switch's input, I have video but no audio. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thank you!

Hi, so I'm looking for a way to wirelessly send audio, in this case CD, tuner and phono, from my old Kenwood receiver to wireless speaker(s) in my kitchen. I want to be able to play the same music out of the speakers connected to the current receiver at the same time. Is this possible with the Connect? If no, what would you reco to make this happen? I've tried the Denon HEOS an Onkyo NR575 to pull this off and neither works in one way or another

Sonos app said an update was needed. After update, Trueplay, EQ settings are not available. Under settings the following options are available: app settings, date and time, system, about, reset, submit diag. I am running iOS 9 on a iPhone 4s. What is really frustrating is that it has been working fine until the update. Help !!!

I just realized that my new Beam (ser #7828CA58F8F2F) has two ethernet ports instead of one ethernet and one HDMI-Arc port (which I'm told is the preferred connection to my TV), plus fiber. My new LG TV has an Arc-HDMI port but I had to connect Beam via fiber audio as the new Beam does not have HMDI. Hmmmm... Is this an older model Beam that Best Buy sold me last month? Is Arc-HDMI still the preferred connection to a high-end TV? Why does my new Beam not have an HDMI port then when Sonos docs tell me to connect via ARC-HMDI if my TV supports it (which it does)? I had my receiver ports go bad on me, and instead of replacing it, I decided to get a play bar. Overall, it sounds nice, but I would like to take advantage of my other components which are now sitting idle. I have a very nice sub, and rear channel speakers. So what I am trying to figure out is if I purchase the connect:amp, would I be able to power the rear speakers, and also include the sub (self powered). I read through the FAQ here https://support.sonos.com/s/article/2237?language=en_US , which addresses the speakers. It looks like those would be driven properly. So it really just ends up dealing with the sub. My ultimate goal is to utilize what I already have by purchasing the connect:amp. It would save me a lot of money, and the speakers I can't confirm are 'better' than purchasing Sonos 1, but I do not have power where they would be located... which would required a lot more work and expense. Just setup the Sonos One. All steps were followed and setup went smoothly, However it is not responding to any commands. It does acknowledge the command where I ask to play music, but doesn't complete the action. Diag:8022698
