Want to pair new gen 3 echo dot to playbar, so alexa can speak through the playbar and I can hear her. Is this possible or was I miss lead when I purchased playbar?

I just bought a BenQ HT2050A 1080P Home Theater Projector with HDMI ports and was wondering how I could hook up my PLAY 1 (1st generation) to it. Is it possible? Do I need to purchase additional input/output cables or accessories to achieve this?

I can use Sonos on Mac and Windows running NordVPN, yet on Android phone I get error from Sonos - "You are connected to a vpn which may interfere with connecting to Sonos." Sonos then directs me to NordVPN settings which only gives two setting options - (1) Always-on VPN (which I am not going to change to just use Sonos), and (2) Block connections without VPN (which I have tried in both on and off modes - neither work). Any ideas as to how to get Sonos to work?

With the Sonos App and Spotify Premium my family can play different songs in different rooms on Sonos speakers. Using Alexa on Echo Dot if I start music on one speaker (e.g Office Sonos) then go to a separate Echo Dot in another room and ask it to play a different song on the Sonos speaker in that room (e.g. Dining room Sonos) the music stops playing on the first Sonos. I am assuming this is some limitation of the current integration between Alexa on Echo Dot and Sonos but was curious if anyone else had experienced it?

Evening All, First of all please accept my apologies for asking a question that surely must have been asked before. I did search the forum but couldn’t find a clear answer to my specific problem. I already have a Playbase and also a Sub that (if I understand it correctly) is connected to the Playbase on a 5MHz network. Last week I took a risk on buying a Play:1 to use in another room. eBay, of course ? Good news: it is in beautiful condition and works perfectly over Ethernet. Bad news: for the life of me I cannot get it to work over WiFi. Worse, I have tried a factory reset, assuming that perhaps some of my difficulties might lie in the previous owners settings. But the speaker flashed amber/white for 20mins then started flashing red/off. After unplugging and replugging it’s now flashing white/off and won’t stop. I have only found one thread on here and that ended with the conclusion that the unit was broken. I’m sure I could just send it back for a refund but

Is it possible to use any combination of Sonos products to drive passive hard-wired stereo ceiling speaker pairs in 5 separate rooms around the house and configure each room as its own zone? All speaker cables come back to one 19" rack-mount cabinet in the garage right next to the router where I already have a single Connect:Amp wired up to the kitchen ceiling speakers. I was using a Nuvo 3-zone streaming amp but its PSU just failed and it wasn't that good anyway. Would I use multiple Connect:Amps (expensive) or is there a better solution? Thank you for your help. I have a bridge and connect which are both showing as active and setup correctly (I've had my Sonos for 4 years with no issues until now). However, suddenly the volume on my speakers is insufficient (like a whisper even when turned to max volume). Any suggestion please? I tried calling the 800# but the wait time was well over 30 minutes.

I have all my music organised on iTunes. I would be willing to use another software for music organisation. I have recently begun using streaming services for music (spotify, Youtube) My current setup is 2 x Sonos One's for music that i play through a smartphone. and separately a 35yr old receiver/amp and bookshelf speakers that are top quality that i use as computer speakers. I would like to combine the two systems Can i get a Sonos Amp and connect my bookshelf speakers to it, also control 2 x Sonos One's and direct control via either phone or computer? Does the Sonos Amp require the software on the computer to run? Are there limitations on the proposed setup? Youtube works through my current setup..... Is there a way to run a Sonos based system without the software?

I'll be at a music festival where wifi is unreliable at best. I know I can get a Lightening to RJ45 ethernet adapter, so I'm thinking I can play my music on my sonos 1 through the ethernet connection. Will this work? Any tips/suggestions I should know so I can make it work?

Hi All I've purchased a Beam along with a Flexson Adjustable Mount which allow mounting of the Beam upside down, eg, under a kitchen cabinet. Does anyone know how to configure it so that the left and right channels are swapped for correct stereo. It doesn't appear to happen automatically. Thanks

I've been searching for the answer for this for a few days and I suspect it is simply "doesn't work like that", but hopefully someone can help me. TLDR: Can I tell Alexa to play music on all Sonos speakers if the speakers are already in individual Alexa groups? --- I have a couple of Sonos speakers with Alexa built in, all works well, and I love that the integration keeps improving over time. I have it set up this way so that I can say things like "turn the lights on" without specifying the room. I have a record player plugged into a Play 5 which works fine. When I share the sound with my Beam it play well for a bit and then keeps on cutting out. It is just in the next room along. Does anyone have any suggestions? Diagnostic: 1247772422

My TV only got optical out and sonos connect also got optical port. If i connect TV's optical out to sonos connect optical port and configure sonos play 1. I am adding a new zone to an existing multizone setup. This will be a zone connected to a home theater receiver, to allow the home theater speakers to be used as a Sonos zone when the TV is not in use. The consultant I am working with has spec'ed a Sonos Connect for this setup. I have an old ZP80 that I am not currently using. Can I put that in, instead of buying a Connect? The rest of the system uses ZP90's connected to amps and ZP100s connected directly to speakers. Also, if I use the 80s and 100s in my system, will I have any compatibility issues if I want to add new units later, such as SUBs or PLAY:1 (or :3 or :5)? Thanks for your help.

Hello there - I need help regarding my Sonos One and Sonos beam speakers with Alexa. When I ask Alexa a regular odd ball questions she responds just fine something like “how far is the moon” or “who won the game last night” - but when I tell her to go through my flash briefing she says “here’s your flash briefing” than crickets/nothing happens..... or something like “play John Mayer in Apple Music” and she responds “to do that, the skill needs to be activated in the Alexa app.” Or something of that nature. The thing is - all of these things are enabled and music/media accounts are all linked up. It was working properly before but now it doesn’t seem to work ever. I even when as far as resetting all 4 of my speakers (One; 5, Beam, and play 1) and restoring factory defaults and re set up all of my speakers. I am definitely at a loss. Any help or feedback is definitely appreciated - sucks I paid this much money for speakers that the wireless “voice” functionality doesn’t work. Thanks

Rear speaker positioning for a 5.1 setup. Should the rear speakers be facing in towards the room or straight ahead? When I have them forward facing, I barely hear anything 'behind' me. When I angle them in towards my ears, it is much more immersive. I have true-tuned the room.

What is the highest bit rate that our products support via optical audio connection?
