I recently added a Play Bar and two Sonos Ones to my Play 5. I also have one Amazon Echo and three Amazon Dots. All of my Sonos speakers are connected in a group I call “Downstairs”. I have also added two of the Dots to the group. If I ask Alexa to play music on “Downstairs” from any of the Alexa devices (either Dot or the Sonos Ones), the music only plays on the Sonos speakers, not the Dots. Music plays just fine on the Dots if I don’t tell it to play in the group. I have disabled the Sonos Skill and re-enabled it, no change. The Dots, of course, don’t show up in the device list on the Sonos app for grouping there. Is there any way to get the Dots to play in this group?

Hi, is there any way to look at log/event files of some type for Sonos? I am not having a problem but curious. I can't seem to find any beyond what is on the About Sonus page. -Bob

I successfully set up my echo dot to control my sonos speakers. It will play radio stations and change from radio to streamed music but it won’t respond to my command to stop playing. I have disabled and renabled the sonos skill and rebooted my echo dot. Any help would be appreciated.

Just bought a Sonon One in Singapore - It is advertised to have Alexa voice service but upon setup the app simply state: Voice service, not available in your country? Is this correct, how do i get it activated? Right now the Sonos One - is no different from my Sonos Play 1 that i wanted to upgrade.

My play 5 will not pair. It will flash green but when I try and pair it the light goes to orange and it will not pair. If overheating it is not due to conditions and it has never overheated before. Sits on an open table temp controlled room.

Hi, This clearly seems to be a common problem with sonos systems. My system keeps dropping connection regularly, especially with the radio. I have reset my router, updated my software but to no avail. There seems from other threads that there are several different reasons for this happening. Has anyone got any suggestions where to even start? All help gratefully received

My Sonos One, with the right skills enabled, cannot find my Philips Hue (gen 2 hub) system. Tried everything that was mentioned in other threads: reinstalling skills, resetting the Sonos and the Hue, removing Alexa from Sonos, etc. One remaining think I can think of is that my Philips Hue lights are connected to my home wifi network, while my Sonos system (Playbar, 2x play 1 and now a Sonos one) is connected to my router with one cable. I think sonos then creates its own wifi network that is different from the home network which makes Alexa on Sonos One unable to find the lights... Not sure if this could be the reason but if so, how can I fix this?

Songs being played from my iphone are cutting out and not being played in full. Its skips to the next song, plays part then skips again.

Do I need Sonos amp for Sonos outdoor speakers? If so, why?

So I have 3 Amps now that replaced my Russound (whole house audio). The amps are powering 12 speakers throughout my house and they sit next to my Denon AV. I have a connect that I streamed music to my Russound and ran audio output to my Denon for the living speakers. I would like to run an output from my Amp to accomplish the same goal. Is this possible utilizing just the amp? Or do I need to use the connect for that purpose? Thanks for your help. Reese

My Sonos Connect will no longer power on. Tried multiple outlets

Newbie here and new to Sonos products. We moved recently and both home audio and TV setup now different requirements. Looking at whole home audio vs. old-school hardwired speakers in the ceiling, so hairsplitting over Play1 or One. Meantime, for TV setup, at minimum, like to have a Beam, w/ wired headphones, get 2 Play1 or One for rear speakers, no subwoofer needed. Will probably forgo cable/satellite as we don't use many channels. OTA and Firestick4K. Occasional BluRay. Haven't used "Alexa" yet, but like to incorporate at some point. (See SNL's skit "Alexa for Seniors" that's where we are....) Have read the multi-page posts that seems to focus on Beam and BT headphones while using TV sound are not compatible. Wondering if any users have tried a non-BT headphone w/ Beam in use simultaneously? or wired headphones alone when no soundbar/rear speakers desirable? If so, what worked for you? I've tried on my Beam, a Sonos One Gen 2 in my kitchen and my Sonos One Gen 2's as surrounds in my living room. None of them will play a broadcast message no matter where it originates from. I've checked for updates, everything is up to date. All of them will send a message but non of them will play any. Otherwise, the GA seems to be working fine. This is quite inconvenient though. Hope there is an update to fix this soon.

I have a Beam connected via ARC to my new LG OLED B8. TV is set to output sound via ARC. Everything is working, Alexa can control the TV etc. and sound is playing in sync through the Beam. However when I change the volume using the LG remote or my Apple TV remote, the volume will change but no volume indicator appears on the TV (when using LG remote small +\- sign will display on the TV but no level, when using Apple TV remote nothing will display). On my old Samsung (same Beam connected via ARC) a volume bar labeled “Beam” would appear showing volume range from 0-100. I did not set this up, it just came up automatically. Is there a way for me to get this same volume bar to appear on the new LG B8?

My tv was working and randomly in the middle of the day, the sound quite working. Called Sonos support and they wanted me to change my optical cable. I changed it and still no sound from the tv. Checked all the settings not sure what else to do. Music does play on the sound bar just no tv coming through.

I have two play 1 speakers and just got a third delivered. I specifically went for this model because I have absolutely [b][i]ZERO[/i][/b] desire to have voice assistants listening throughout my house but when I opened up the latest box I was shocked to see that it is now equipped with google assistant. Can you confirm that there are no microphones in this speaker?

November 1st 2918 SONOS wrote a blog post, postponing the launch of Google assistant on SONOS one and beam to 2019. No date given. The post ender with this: Stay tuned. We look forward to sharing another update in early 2019! We are now well into April and there is still no word on a launch date. Only new commitments at CES that this will launch in 2019. So what is it going to be SONOS? When exactly will you launch Google assistant, that you promised people more than one and a half year ago, when you started selling the one? Please answer this simple question SONOS. You owe that much after all this time of stalling.

Trying countless permutations of commands, it seams that my default HDMI input in the TV has changed. Its not ideal, but for now I switched the HDMI cables and now when I ask alexa to turn on the TV, its on the correct HDMI input setting. The tv is a vizio. Does anyone know how to switch HDMI inputs within the tv via Alexa?
