Hi,

is it possible to use a Play 3 gen 1 and a play 3 gen 2 as either a stereo pair or as surround speakers.

Thanks

Hi @M12NMW

Using Play 3’s for surrounds the benefit over Play 1’s is not that pronounced. However, for music you’ll most likely hear a difference. Just depends upon how well your ears are tuned :relaxed:

Cheers!

Hi @M12NMW

There is no Play 3 (gen1); nor a Play 3 (gen2). Just a Play 3. So what are you really trying to ask?

Cheers!

Sorry I thought there was gen1 and gen 2, so that’s cool then i should be able to pair them as surround speakers in place of my play 1’s, will they sound better as surrounds and for music playing as well?
