Ceiling Speaker Placement Advice

I’m renovating kitchen area and looking to use the Sonos ceiling speakers with Sonos amp, but wondering how many ceiling speakers I would need and advice on placement. I haven’t heard them live yet so I don’t know how much area 2 ceiling speakers would fill up. The kitchen is open design and around 250 sqft (17ft x 15ft).

For example, would 2 ceiling speakers be enough or would it be better to have 3-4 ceiling speakers?

2 should be enough.   Only issue could be ceiling height - if you have 10ft. ceilings or more and you would probably go with 4 speakers.   And I will be honest - I’m not a fan at all of ceiling speakers at that height.   If there was room on walls I would go with in-wall instead.

My neighbor has 2 in-ceiling speakers in similar sized kitchen but 12ft ceilings and they are not impressive.
