If I ask Alexa to play music from a specific artist, the typical response is “shuffling songs by [artist name] from [my name’s] Spotify on Sonos.” Then no music plays. How do I troubleshoot this?

So i'm wondering if it's possible to use Sonos speakers with the new HomePod. So for example, maybe using two home pods instead of the playbar, but still using a sub, and 2 play ones? I have yet to hear the audio from a Sonos system or the HomePod and just trying to figure out what will work best for me. I use all Apple products, so if the new play ones will support Siri and airplay 2 then i'm probably sold on an all Sonos system.

I had just been getting a few iPod gen 2s specifically to use as Sonos controllers. I'd got two of them in, and installed the old app before the new App came out yesterday. Unfortunately I hadn't yet downloaded the old app to the third before it was updated yesterday. The new app reports as not compatible with my third Gen2. How can I get the old one & install it?

Hi all. I have sonos amps and wired speakers throughout my home but would like more bass in my great room. Can this Klipsch Reference R-10SWi be added to the newer sonos amp wirelessly? I have 4 wired speakers in my ceiling wired to the sonos amp and want to add a cost-effective sub. If this Klipsch won't work, what will besides Sonos subs? Does the sonos amp provide enough power for my 4 speakers and a sub?

I have a Beam which I like, but I would prefer a bit more so I'm thinking of getting some play 1 for surrounds. However, most of my smart home is Homekit so I would like a Homepod. I pretty much only watch TV through an Apple TV so I know I could connect up a Homepod through this. My question is, has anyone used a Beam and a Homepod at the sametime? If it's even possible, I'm concerned it would create a bit of an odd effect. The only things I can find online are comparisons between them rather than both at once! Thanks

So I've seen quite a lot of posts about this topic, but haven't seen this one specific question: I realize that google home isnt officially supported by sonos yet. But is it possible to simply use the sonos one as a speaker for google home? Let's say I want to listen to spotify, tell my google home that I want to listen to spotify and the sound just comes over the sonos speakers? I don't mind if there is no group support or microphone support of the sonos one yet

I accidentally left my Connect in a place where it got [b]rain on it[/b] and now it doesn't work. I have tried to let it dry out. Is there any way to fix it or is it beyond repair? :(

Ok guys I want to be able to put speakers in all my room. And be able to say play music in my room, kitchen etc and the music plays in that room. Or do on my hue app to play in that room. Does anyone know how to set up that system. Regards Ian

Can anyone at Sonos provide some info on using the forthcoming Amp with a pair of Left and Right Speakers to give good stereo for music plus rear speakers for TV surround sound. I’m wondering if Trueplay would work with a pair of Play3s as rear speakers plus some other make I already have connected to the Amp plus maybe a Sub. Or is the Amp really for just a 2 speaker stereo left/right setup?

I have a Playbar set up in one room and one Play:5 stereo pair set up in a second room. Is it possible to add a Sub to a third room and then group the third room with the first only, with the second only, and with both the first and second?

i have many sonos devices in my home and office. one project i'm am looking to upgrade is my family room. looking to replace my playbar & play 3's (ill keep my sonos sub) in my family room to the sonos beam and the new in ceiling speakers for my surround sound. my questions are: 1. i'm i making a mistake, will the sound be better and just as loud? 2. Ok, silly question time, just received the new Sonos Amp and whilst this doesn't change the functionality I was surprised to receive 4 x standard-ish black banana plugs, opposed to the dual custom plugs I've seen in every photo and every review. Have these now replaced the custom plugs for some reason? Or are these standard in the UK? or am I being particularly special!! :D

Hello, I have a Sonos beam + sub + two one’s all set as surrround, connected via HDMI ARC to a Samsung The Frame TV, and the TV works fine, audio comes trough the Sonos surround setup and remote control from tv properly controls volume on Sonos, the problem is that my Sonos room (set up for the surround) disappears form the Sonos app, can not control it, see it or listen to music, only works with the TV but it is not visible on the app, I do not know if it has something to do with the Frame TV entering art mode or what could be the problem, if I want to see my Sonos room on the app I have to turn off tv and unplug Sonos beam so it can show on the app and play music, but as soon as I use my tv again the problem returns, please help. Thanks!

I have a soundbar and 2 play 1's set up in my living room for surround sound. I'm currently watching Football, but the rear sound from my 2 play 1's is very low. Is there a way of turning the sound up on these 2 speakers, without turning up the sound of the sound bar?

I want to talk to my Echo Dot and have Alexa respond to me through a Play:1. In order to make this happen, I had to hook up the Dot to a Connect:Amp, use the controller to have the Play:1 play from the Line In of the Connect:Amp, and the connection seems to work. However, if I ask Alexa a question, "Alexa, what time is it?" "Alexa, tell me a joke." her voice comes through the Play:1 at a very low volume, so low that I can barely hear it. Volume on Echo is at 10, and the Play:1 volume is on full. Music plays loud as expected, but Alexa's voice is way too quiet. Am I doing something wrong, or should I just give up on trying to make Alexa and Play:1 work in this way? Very disappointing if that's the case.

Is there a way to create Alexa presets on Sonos One ? i.e.: Play 1 --> would play defined TuneIn station, Play 2 --> would play defined Spotify playlist...etc

I have five Play 1 speakers in my house. I love using them with Sonos or radio. I often play same music on all speakers at the same time but I always have to manually adjust volume on all speakers. I can use volume slider and it increases/decreases volume by the same amount but it won't sync the volume between speakers. Is there are "Volume Sync" functionality in iOS or Mac apps for Sonos speakers?

I just bought the Playbar+Sub+Play1s for a 5.1 setup in my living room. Super happy with it and excited to expand the system throughout my house. I am going to set up an old 1080p Samsung 47” flatscreen in our master bedroom, and I am wondering if I can use my old Bose Cinemate II as the speakers for this TV — but also connect it into Sonos. So thinking how the Connect might come into play. The TV has RCAs in for audio, and the audio outs are an optical out and what appears to be an analog mini jack (1/8”?). The Sonos connect obviously has RCAs in and out, as well as an optical out. And the Cinemate has RCA in, and optical in. So my goal is to be able to listen to Sonos music on the Cinemate, but also watch TV on the Cinemate. Would I have the optical out from the Connect go into the optical in of the Cinemate — and then use the mini out on the TV, buy a converter to RCA, and have that go into the Connect via the RCA in? Something else? Not possible? Thanks!

Hi! In documentation on sonos I read that to use One over WIFI I need Sonos bridge. And in some revues on Sonos Controller App people wrote that in actual version thay can't connect One to the existing WiFi network and it works only wired. If I have router Netgear wndrmacv2 with my WiFi network 2.4 G "W.net", will One be connected to it withuot Sonos Bridge?

Hi, I have set up my Beam to link to my PLEX server. If I use the Sonos app I can play music to the Beam OK. If I say "Alexa, Ask plex to play music by Adele" she responds in the affirmative and my media server shows that alexa is direct playing the correct music. So that all looks fine. BUT! no sound comes out of the beam! If I do the same on my echo in anther room it works perfectly. Is this (yet another) deficiency in the implementation of alexa and the beam?

I've ordered a Bluetooth turntable which I was going to connect to an Echo connected to the line-in on my Play 5 which is in another room. Is this also possible as an alternative to Bluetooth? If I'm housing the turntable near my TV which has a Beam connected to it, as the turntable also has a built-in pre amp, could I connect to my TV with an RCA cable and would that then pass the sound back out to my beam via the hdmi arc? I suspect the latter option is not possible but if not, are there any options for a wired connection through my TV? Cheers
