Controllers and Music services

I am setting up my new Sonos Five and use Deezer as my streaming service. Using the Sonos app I click add, choose, Deezer, I have an account but doesn't ask for my Deezer login details?Instead it says 'please authorise Sonos to use your Deezer account'. The authorise button appears and when you press it it simply opens my Deezer app and there is nowhere to 'authorise'  Please help?! Thanks 

One of the main uses of Sonos for me is being woken up by Radio. It plays in my whole flat, and I can go from my bedroom into the kitchen, feed the cats, wander into the shower all the time being lulled by Radio 4 (UK talk radio news etc). But recently, I am now conditioned to the Sonos Donkey (Chime?!) and am woken by Eeyore eeyore - eeoyre; eeyore - eeeevery morning.I have re-booted my router.Yes, grouped rooms is checked - but none of them workI have rebooted my iPhone.I have rebooted the speakers.I have tried Spotify, Sound Cloud, different radio stations - I still get the donkeyI am not interested in anyone talking about ‘connection issues’ I have a 50 sq m flat, and the minute I grab my phone and turn off the donkey and ask it to play Radio 4 it starts no problem. My next step is to erase the whole system and start again. I find that ridiculous having invested so much in this system. Does anyone have any ideas? 

a few weeks ago my sonos library started giving me multiples copies of some albums. I think even though all my albums are in different folders and have consistent “album artist” is it now giving me an entire different albume for each song artist! This makes compilation albums completely unusable. It’s not the controller, as this is consistent with ios, win11 and Sonopad controllers. Check out this image!  

I am trying to play Podcasts from from Spotify but you can't search on them and I tried creating a play list of podcasts and you can see the play list in Sonos, but not play it.

I’m running an 18 or 19 yr-old setup, still using the old white ZP80 controllers to connect to my amplifier and speakers etc. I’m using version 11.15 of the app, SonosOS S1 - I managed to avoid taking the troublesome upgrade that has caused all these issues.  (Although I think if I am using SMB2 to connect to my NAS, which I am, some library issues will be minimized).But now I want to add some new music and the "Update Music Index Now" is grayed out, with a message saying that I need to upgrade the system before updating will work.I’m going to wait overnight to see if my old 2:00 a.m. scheduled update is still working, but for now has anyone else seen this?

Using my Samsung phone I connect with sonos and select Music Library. When I select songs to play a specific song sonos plays the first song in the last playlist I played. How do I exit from the previously selected playlist? 

I bought a pi zero 2 w and installed samba.  I put my music in the music folder on the SD card with the OS.  The pi zero has a static ip and the smb.conf file has ntlm=yes in the global section.  Sonos accepts the music share but all of the folders are empty (i.e. songs, artists, genres, etc).  Can someone help resolve this?  I have a Sonos one, a move, a beam and a play 1.  They all play nice with the Sonos app but the app doesn't display the music.

My Sono app will not connect to my Android phone or my new ipad but it will connect to my wife's iPhone and her older ipad and I don't know why

My app keeps requesting me to sign in as the owner of my equipment. I sign-in and it keeps saying I need to sign in. Tried resetting all the devices multiple times.

Latest app update struggles hard to stay connected to Apple Music. It frequently skips songs and notes it could not connect to WiFi. Not experiencing WiFi issues with any other devices on my network. Attempted to submit diagnostics to Sonos in the app 3 times and all failed.

The language of the title displayed in the "Now Playing" window does not match the language shown in the list.All basic playback functions work perfectly without issue. I use Sonos app in Japanese. All my accounts settings (language and location) are configured to Japanese and Japan. When playing music from YouTube Music, the "Now Playing" screen displays track titles in English, even if the original titles are in Japanese. This issue does not occur with other music services. For example, Japanese titles are displayed correctly in Japanese when using Amazon Music. Restarting and reconnecting the services did not resolve the issue.While this is not a critical problem, it is a bit inconvenient. This is a minor issue, but I thought it might be worth asking here. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a solution?  Example1: YouTube Music, a list is Japanese, but Playing window at the bottom is in English.(This occurs across the mobile app, web app, and Mac app.)Example 2: This iss

This has happened several times over the last 6 months. The iOS app will work as expected for about one week and then it will open the splash screen, freeze and then clear. I end up deleting the app and then download it again and it works for another week or so and then I do the dance all over again. Easy enough to join the existing system but a pain in the rear to have to do it continually just to use our whole home system. It wasn’t cheap to install but was supposed to be a great system and it was until lately. Am I stuck with having to delete and download weekly or does anyone have any recommendations?

I’m fed up of updating the app and it going wrong so normally leave it a while.   But this app update is being forced on me - basically blocked the use of the app for any of my many Sonos speakers.  

Like other users, I’ve been toiling with getting Sonos to index and use my local Music collection.  I finally ran across this article:https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/share-your-macos-music-folder-with-sonosI otherwise granted Sonos full disk access, and yet it still could not use “My Music Folder”.   This makes no sense.  Further, it makes no sense that to use my music collection, I’d have to go through yet another protocol (SMB) -- granted this works, and I’ll take it because it’s been a lot of trouble.But my question is why?  Why can’t Sonos simply access My Music Folder?   I even shared it, no luck.  SMB it is, for now, but this really shouldn’t be the solution for Sonos and Music on the same physical system.

On my Arc Ultra, I reliably see when a track from Apple Music is lossless.  However, the same track in a different room (Paired Sonos Ones with Sub Mini) does not appear to be lossless.  I have adequate badwidth, and all apps/firmware are updated.  One of the One’s is hardwired to my router.  Not sure if that makes a difference either way.   I believe the speakers are connected wirelessly over Sonos Net, including the Arc Ultra.According to the latest message from Apple, my speakers should support lossless.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Sonos will not work on my wifes Samsung in the same account. It can not find the system. All the Sonos speakers are on and it works fine on my iPhone. 

I cannot connect to Sveriges Radio P1 on my Sonos 1 based system. Any known issues?

Why does this app suck so bad ?? I swear it drops my system everytime it updates.   And I have a hard time reading ! Now after factory resetting for the 5th time it won’t connect to wifi.   So fn fustrsting 

Quick community Q: How is the latest version of the desktop app for Mac? (As background, I have deliberately not updated the desktop controller since May as it was the most reliable way to control my system and I wanted to make sure that I at least kept that. Let’s not reopen the whole app issue up again) However recently it has begun to struggle with a few things - most obviously when trying to start or switch music/playlists in Apple Music. What is the latest version of the app like? I’m happy to switch across if it improves things but I really, really, really don’t want to update it and find out that the new version does less than the one I currently have Anyone have any experience of using the latest version of the desktop controller on Mac (and I’m using a 2015 iMac) Thanks!

Since the most recent update (82.3-60160) we are now getting “something went wrong” messages about 90% of the time on all our controllers for all our players for just about every operation. Can’t play music - local or services. Can’t adjust volume. Can’t group or ungroup. Can’t stop music once we do get it playing. Etc. We have uninstalled/reinstalled the apps, rebooted the speakers, rebooted the whole network (Sonos’ answer to everything), but it doesn’t seem to matter. This is the most useless our system has been since the disastrous new app rollout, and that’s really saying something. I see many threads about similar errors. Is this being worked on? Any explanation or ETA for a fix?

Where do I find the latest version of this ?

As a Sonos customer, here’s my experience:Controlling music from my Apple desktop computer is incredibly frustrating. I can’t select or play music without encountering issues like a spinning wheel or app crashes. I’ve resorted to quitting the app on my desktop and using my iPhone instead, but even then, I often need to press the play button 3–4 times before it connects.I’ve stopped using my Sonos Connect Amp (2nd Gen) entirely because frequent music drops became unbearable. Now, I rely on my Sonos Playbar downstairs to listen to music upstairs.Sonos tech support suggested changing channels in the app or adjusting my Wi-Fi settings, toggling between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Is this really what’s expected of customers—diving into HTTP settings and manually assigning channels just to enjoy uninterrupted music?Didn’t Sonos start out as a software company?  Then later transitioned to streaming music services? As a loyal customer, I’m left extremely disappointed.
