Hi!
Mac Mini user (Sonoma 14.0) here with a Sonos app.
I know all about the problems with the Sonos music library feature from last year’s update, but I have been using the workaround of creating a library by adding the music share as a NAS /network share.
Yesterday, however, I started having problems with the library.
- All the songs disappeared, so I couldn’t search. But, in Music Library Settings, the shared folder was still present.
- ‘Update Music Library Now’ ran for a second, but the library was still empty.
- I removed the shared folder and added it back again, using the NAS-workaround, but kept getting the error: Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Access to the shared folder is denied, check user name and/or password.
- Deleted the Sonos app and restarted my computer several times, to no avail.
- I also tried adding the folder via the iPhone app, but got the error message: //<Computer name>/<Folder name> is no longer available.
- I deleted the Sonos app from my iPhone and restarted my iPhone several times, too. Still nothing.
The funny thing is, the room playlists with music from my library would still play.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
B
