I would like to see in the Sonos app more detailed information about the playing signal from apple music instead of just „lossless“ or not.
As there is a 3rd party app called „Bops“ for Apple TVos that is able to get this information from Sonos system I think it’s available and delivered by Apple.
Maybe Sonos needs Apples permission to show it… so my wish is Sonos to ask Apple or also other services.
Amazon Music is great and shows HD, UHD or nothing.
My apps all show the sample rate and bits-per-sample for Sonos streaming playback, as well as the “lossless/HD” tags. You can see the Spotify details for example here:

Would be cool if they showed this.
Thank you for sharing… but how is it possible Spotify via Sonos api or direct control is showing 16/44?
As far as I know Spotify still is limited to 320 kbps in OGG format.
Edit:
Ok… Google was my friend and obviously OGG 320 kbps bitrate can be at 16 bit / 44,1 kHz sampling rate.
Would be cool if they showed this.
It does, yes, though I believe lossless is not shown for Apple because it was enabled after the last update to the app.
All my apps work back to version 8.4 which was, I think, eight years ago, as that is the oldest device I have to test against.
Any update on the Android version

Would it be possible to show also the codec type and bit rate for lossy streams, like AAC 256, MP3 320, etc. ?
Or is this not technically feasible?

No, that information is not included in the data provided. If it was, I would show it.
