My system formerly consisted of one Sonos Connect wired to three AudioSource AMP 100 amplifiers. One was wired to one set of speakers and to were wired to two sets of speakers.
I recently replaced my Connect with three Sonos ports, one for each of my AMP 100 amplifiers. The speakers are wired the same to the amps as they were while using the Connect.
my issue is that I now have to run my amp volumes on all three amps at 85% to obtain the same volume out of my speakers while when the Connect was being used the volume on the amps only needed to be set at 50% to reach the desired volume level.

Has anyone experienced lower volume from their Ports after “upgrading” from their Connects?

Thanks

You probably have the Port volume controls set to “Variable”.  In the settings for the Port(s), set the volume to “Fixed”.

I tried all three settings and the volume greatly improves when set to fixed or line through but I loose the ability to adjust the volumes with my iPhone through the app. I was always able to adjust the volumes though the app while using the Connect controller and had acceptable volume levels. Volume control through the app is a requirement for me.

Then I would increase the gain on the Amplifiers until it reaches an acceptable level.  There’s no reason why the Amp gain level has to be where it was before.  So set it where it sound good.

Running my aAMP at nearly maximum volume won’t negatively effect the amp?

No, it won’t. Sonos Amps are designed to operate at up to 100% , due to their digital nature.

My amplifiers are Audio Source AMP100.

I have no knowledge about those amplifiers. You may want to check with this ‘Audio Source’ company.
