Hello @robgraz, welcome to the Sonos Community!
I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your Sonos system and the Sonos App.
1-Voice control on either Alexa or Sonos own voice control just stopped on its own and i have to reset my unit every time I want to use it.
If by reset, you mean Factory Reset, please refrain from doing this again as it is a last resort step and not recommended unless suggested by Sonos. Doing a Factory Reset deletes all diagnostic data that could help with troubleshooting.
Please have a look at our Support Articles Sonos Voice Control requests not working and Alexa commands not working on Sonos as they include various troubleshooting steps to resolve the issues you are facing.
2-The app asks me to sign into my account every time i want to use it.
3-The controls from my phone to the Sonos system are so slow.
Delays and slow responses in the Sonos App are usually indicators of network connectivity issues. I would suggest a network refresh by rebooting all networking devices involved. Start with your Router → Sonos → Controller (smartphone/tablet).
Make sure the Sonos App is on the latest version, you can uninstall and re-download the app from our official page Download the Sonos app. When launching the Sonos App again, make sure to tap Join Existing System.
I can see that all your contacts with our Support have been resolved, but if you are still experiencing issues, please reach out to our Support Team for live troubleshooting.
They have tools at their disposal to provide you with advice and information specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.
I hope this helps.
Have you ever even tried contacting your own tech support ! Once I was on an hour waiting , other times i was told there is a 2 hr wait ! Sorry guys you have gone straight down hill, technology is suppose to get better with time and Sonos has done the complete opposite
I am seeing issues similar to this and spent a while figuring out the problem before contacting support, I then gave up on support because they just wanted me to remove and readd the spotify service, complete waste of time. The issue for me at least is almost certainly the older sonos speakers specifically the play 3’s. With the S2 app they are completely screwed.
For context I have 1gb fibre broadband, that’s connected to a router and off that I have deco WIFI 7 mesh network which is what the speakers connect to, now before anyone goes on about IP addresses etc… the router is the only device set to issue them, the mesh system is set to access point mode.
If I don’t use the system for a little while and launch the app it takes at least 30 seconds before the play 3’s become responsive. If for example I have all my speakers grouped and I look at the volume settings for the group the era 100’s, the playbar and even the play 1 will show up pretty rapidly, the two play 3’s will take a least 30 seconds to show up. Often when I change the volume during this initial period the play 3’s volumes will not change.
As a test this morning I launched the app and attempted to play music on a single play 3 device, it took around 5 seconds for the music to play, I then attempted to control the volume, twice I upped the volume and nothing happened on the speaker, the slider then reverted to the previous volume on both occasions. Finally on the 3rd attempt the volume responded to my change and after that the volume control was fine.
Now I feel like people will still respond this is your network, up until a couple of days ago I had 3 x play 3 devices, I’ve now switched out one of those for an era 100 which is in exactly the same spot in the house and completely fine.
From my testing most of the problems seem to occur when you haven’t used the controller for a while, it’s essentially taking a very long time for the play 3’s to “wake” and transmit whatever data they need to the controller before they will then work.
On the off chance someone from sonos reads this who isn’t obsessed with removing/readding spotify or turning this off/on (I’ve already turned everything off/on hundreds of times) to deal with volume controls being unresponsive - *******.

The solution for me was to pretty much stop using my Sonos products !
except my Sonos Roam cause it’s Bluetooth, it’s pretty sad all the money I spent and each and every time I go to use them there is some sort of issue !
The system gets messed up for who knows what reason . I have 6 pieces of Sonos all a least 2 nd gen . Please make it easy to fix connection problem thru app ,the original system was not great but you could find what you were looking for .this system often makes me reset up network to what it was .start saying can’t play this because of configuration or something then play music for 20 seconds or so then shuts off hit play again and plays different song then shuts off . I’ve invested a lot of money in this system please make it more user friendly please . I started with Sonos from the beginning first gen stuff , if you want us for 3 gen Fix This
