Hi. My sonos connect disappeared from my system according to my phone app. Multiple attempts to find it/reconnect were unsuccessful. I tried turning it off and on again. That didn’t solve anything. I tried resetting it. That was a mistake! Now, I just have a flashing red light. I called support and they said “it’s a known issue” “we are working on it” “a fix will be rolled out soon.” That seems unlikely considering the connect is so old (how long has this been a known issue)? Any ideas on how I can get my connect working again?
I am hoping someone can lead me in the right direction. I have had the Sonos S1 app for about 8 years now. The Sonos S1 app controls 2 Sonos connect amps. One amp controls the speakers in the outdoor seating area and the other amp controls the in ceiling speakers inside of the house. While away in my vacation home where I use the Sonos app to control Era 300, Era 100 and One SL, I accidently opened the Sonos S1 app instead of the Sonos app to control the Era 300, Era 100 and One SL speakers. Because it wasn’t working, and it shouldn’t have been because I opened the wrong app, I ended up resetting the entire system on the Sonos S1 app. Immediately after resetting the Sonos S1 app I realized I totally screwed up because I was using the wrong app to control the Era 300, Era 100 and One SL speakers. I should have been using the Sonos app which would have worked but was using the Sonos S1 app. When I got back home I tried to use the Sonos S1 app and there is no system to use. When I
This morning my book of experiences with Sonos opened a new chapter. After I had to learn painfully that Sonos does not offer any repairservice centrally, I visited a licensed Sonos Dealer in the City of Braunschweig Germany. Even there, in a dealership with top noche service for repairs, the skilled dealers technicians refused to even accept to try to repair the Sonos speaker. I am just wondering how Sonos managed to maintain their reputation with such a customer orientation. My question is if anyone has an idea if the is some place where a only 4 year old speaker could tbe a least inspected for a possible repair solution. Thanks
Hello, I have passive speakers that I use to listen to stereo music and for television. I want to integrate them completely into my Sonos ecosystem. (voice control using my Sonos Era 100 for switching on, off, volume adjustment...) I want to buy an amplifier connected to a Sonos Port that my system appears in the sonos application as a real Sonos speaker. I read in the instructions that it was possible to use the Sonos Port to adjust the volume of the amplifier using the "pass-Trough" function. I see on many forums that many people have problems with this function. Do you have a list of amplifiers compatible with the "pass-Trough" function of the Sonos port? Thanks
I just got a Sonos and have it hooked up to a port which plays through my tower speakers and then also one other speaker in the house. When I went to go turn it off, I turned off my Morantz system Which the port runs to, but the speaker itself just kept playing music. How do you turn it off for good versus just pausing it I also couldn’t close out of the app
Since Sonos update in February 4 out of my 6 x Sonos Connects now only play on very low (almost inaudible) volume.Anybody else with this issue or any solution found for the problem?
I bought a couple of Sonos bundles a long time ago. I had a Sonos Connect Gen 1 in storage that had never been setup, which I am now wanting to use.I added it to my Sonos network, but the S1 app is now informing me that if needs a firmware update (of course). When I tell it to do the update it fails with a 'Error Code 803: Connect'.It is definitely very out of date showing a version 3.8 compared to my other S1 device ls showing version 11.16.1.From reading other posts, I believe I need Sonos Support to force/push a software/firmware update to it.I have generated and submitted diagnostic report. Moderator Edit - Recorded and removed the diagnostics number.
I have been troubleshooting some issues with a location that has 5 Amp units. We have moved all of them to WiFi to try to fix dropouts…During the troubleshooting, I started looking at network stats for the 5 Amps in the UniFi controller. Specifically, traffic/activity to the devices. I noticed that 2 of the 5 Amps are showing traffic to/from: Instagram, Snapchat, Uber, Google Play and Google (in addition to Pandora, Spotify and HTTP/S).These devices are controlled from an iPad that is locked down and does not have any of these above apps installed on it. The other 3 Amps show Pandora, Spotify, HTTP and HTTPS as the traffic. These I would expect.Should this concern me at all?
Hello,I would like a bit of help building my setup for my new apartment. The TV will be placed in the living room which is part of an open plan space which also hosts the kitchen and the dinning area.I have already an Arc Ultra and a sub mini and I want to purchase two 6” in-ceiling speakers (Sonance) connected to a Sonos Amp.The thing is that the distance behind the sofa where I can place the in-ceiling speakers is more than the max suggested of 6 feet (1.8m). It is actually 6.2 feet. Will this distance be problematic impacting the immersiveness of the setup?
I have a Arc Ultra and Sub 4 arriving this week. what are my best option for adding surround speakers in this room. the house came with 5.1 ‘pre-wired’ but i don’t think the ceiling locations are optimal.. Would you pick #1 (ceiling rough-in), #2 (end tables era 100) or #3 (era 100 on wall). or suggest other options? thanks

there’s no power showing on one of my Sonos connect boxes. How can I tell if the unit is in need of replacement, I unplugged it and plugged it back in in the white light on the front is still not showing up
Hi everyone,I’m running into a recurring issue with my Sonos Amp in a UniFi network and wanted to check if anyone has seen something similar or has a working setup with current UniFi firmware.Setup: Sonos Amp Ubiquiti UniFi network system (UDM Pro + switches) Amp connected via Ethernet (also tested via WiFi) Flat network during testing (no VLAN separation) Problem:After a reboot, the Amp works fine. But after some time (hours to days, even when idle), it becomes completely unreachable: disappears from the Sonos app cannot be pinged does not respond to ARP requests In UniFi, the behavior varies slightly: sometimes the device is still shown as connected but greyed out other times it disappears entirely as a client however, the physical link LED on the switch port remains on Only a full power cycle brings it back. Replugging Ethernet alone does not help. What I already tried: Ethernet and WiFi (same behavior on both) Disabled WiFi when wired IGMP Snooping + Querier enable
I want to install 4 satellite sonance SGS Speakers and 1 sonance SGS subwoofer. I also want to listen to music via the Sonos amp for this zone. Can I use one Sonos amp or do I need the Sonance amp and also a Sonos port.
I’m moving to a new home and I have a Sonos system in my current house with built-in speakers. Should I take these components with me to my new house where I will have standalone speakers not built-in speakers?
Sonos amp in system and works great...can’t Sonos Connect amp Gen 1 for 2nd system...trying to install on sonos app (phone)...says not compatible refers me to Sonos S1 controller…..App on computer is system management only (brown icon)….how do I add the Connect amp 1 to my system?...Thanks.!!!
I have an AMP that died in a suspected power surge. I have it halfway disassembled and have good pictures. I have access to multimeter and soldering gun, but have little electronics experience. is anyone here willing to run me through the at I should be testing or hoping to replace? I’d like to give this a shot before I drop the cash to replace this unit or find a different solution.
Hi all.I have a Sonos ZP90 zone player that works fine in our bar - outhouse, also linked play5 1st generation that I use sometimes outside in summer months. The ZP90 works fine in the bar, but when the Play5 is connected, it also works fine and audio is stable, but then the ZP90 in the bar starts cracking up – intermittent – hiccup sound like a lose wire like on a microphone eg, the play 5 outside (only 6 meters away from the ZP90) works perfectly and audio is stable with no issues. The Zone player ZP90 is connected to the routed via ethernet cable, the Play 5 is working via wifi. This problem occurs both from my laptop and also same thing from my iPhone.I wondered if anyone could suggest a reason for this, or a solution to this issue as it is now doing my head in!
We have 8 Sonos amps setup behind TVs throughout a house. 4 of these are connected to TVs VIA hdmi arc. All the tv locations work fine as tv locations however group play is broken. We cannot add the TV zones to music playing on the other zones or vice versa. Is this a known issue? We have followed white papers on setup for UniFi WiFi, all Sonos are on WiFi. TV auto sync is on and music grouping is on. When you play music you cannot just add other zones zones to playback. It adds then removes itself so group play is basically broken.
Hi All. I have used Sonos forever and have about 15 speakers. Mostly Play1s and 5s and surround sound etc.I’m building a new house and wondered what the reviews are like re the ceiling speakers.I like the music pretty loud and clear with bass but am hesitant to move from my usual mobile plug in speakers which I am used to a fixed option. Are they worth it? Does the sound compare to the Play 1s and 5s?My ceilings are 9 ft tall. I’m assuming they are decent sounding but how decent? Trying to get my head around the ideaThanks in advanceAndrew
community. i see a dead 4 years ago entry regarding the PIN sonos assigns to each Sonos amp to be use in setup-what a ridiculous step!! larger installations make this sooopainful.i have customers with 10-16 audio zone amps in a rack.transferring ownership- having to factory defaultresetting 16 of these in a rack is a time consuming task.getting access to these PINs is such a headache.u have to disconnect everyone of these ampsin order to read those pins to reset them up under thenew owner. i cannot believe sonos has not found another simplersolution to getting to those PINscompletely criminal that you force this onto yourcustomer’s and installers..

I have two complete Mag6.1 systems. I was told by Bestbuy tech support that I would be able to combine the 2 systems. Can anyone guide me on how a can do this? Or do I install both systems separately and somehow sync them in the Sonos amp?
