Hi I’ve a connect amp wired to a stereo speaker in a room. The audio from vocals has gone very low but the music is fine. I can hear audio if I switch the settings to extreme left or right but then sacrifice music. This worked fine until yesterday. Any ideas? Thanks. I’m
Not sure when it started exactly but I get this chirping/squeaking sound on all my Sonos speakers (Combination of S1’s and one S5 and a playpar.). I’m on S1 and do not intend to upgrade in case that should be the solution to this problem. Submitted Diagnostic Information here: Confirmation number is: 1740163293.
I have a Sonos Amp that I'd like to have 2 speaker circuits connect to. One speaker circuit also has an analog volume control. Are there any concerns about doing this that I should be aware of?I also have another Sonos amp which I’d like to connect to two speakers circuits, each with individual analog volume controls.
Hi, I have had a Sonos system for around 13 years, I use a Bridge and have 2 Connect Amps. The speakers are ceiling mounted and wired directly to the Amps. (The speakers are not Sonos).the system has always worked well however the Bridge has recently stopped powering up. So, I have purchased a Boost as thought this would be a suitable replacement. However I’m having issues connecting the Boost to the Amos as the Boost wants to use the Sonos S2 app and the Amps S1.should they be compatible or am I flogging a dead horse?? I don’t really want to shell out for 2 new amps as they are perfectly fine. thanksPete
I have a Sonos play base + 2 play 1s under one room, and then a separate set of move speakers. I have a project audio turntable that is connected to a Sonos port to stream vinyl. Recently I have been experiencing significant cutout issues with the playbase. The audio will drop for up to 10 seconds before resuming. If I am streaming to both the play base and the move speakers, the audio only cuts out on the play base, so I know it’s not the port causing the issue. But it is making listening to records impossible. has anyone experienced this? The device is about 6 years old so I’m unsure if it’s reached end of life, but I experience zero Audio issues when watching Apple TV with it.
anyone have issues with getting power to their T1? I just opened the box, followed the set up instructions, but when I plug in the adapter nothing happens… nothing ‘turns on’
I have a BR100 bridge and the power light is not coming on.I have checked power source and all good.it has a uk three pin plug on the power cable and looks like it is none repairable, I can’t change the fuse.any ideas?
Hi, changing TVs and wife wants a “cleaner” look so need to swap sound bar for in-wall speakers. Background setup: Current living room is a Sonos Beam and Sub with two in-wall speakers powered by an AMP (so 3.1 setup). Want to get: ARC setup that replaces the Sonos Beam with an in-wall non-powered speaker. To do this I think I need: Another Sonos Amp that’s hard wired via HDMI to the TV via ARC or eARC and have that AMP run the center speaker alone. Or:Get a 3rd party receiver and connect the center and in wall left and right speakers and get a Sonos Port to “tie” in Sonos and connect the sub. Main goal is really simplicity. Using TVs Samsung remote I want the 3.1 to just automatically work. Am I thinking through this right and any suggestions on which is better and plus and minuses?
I’ll start by saying I DON’T use apple HomeKit with my Sonos and they aren’t even registered with the home app. I have a play 5 that always reverts to kitchen. I’ve removed it, factory reset, reinstalled and named living room. 24 hours later and it says kitchen again. I have a move that does the same thing except it always goes to dining room. sonos has no clue how to fix it. help!!!
Hi there Our Sonos Port appears to have developed a fault. This morning when we went to use it, the unit was not showing in the app. On inspection, it appears to be powered off. There are no lights visible on the device, and the network port lights are off. Things I have tried to diagnose / resolve; * Removed the power cable and leave unplugged for 10 minutes. Reconnecting the power cable had no effect * Performed a reset by holding the Join button will reconnecting power. No effect. * Disconnected all cables, including the network cable and power cycling the unit. No effect. * Move the plug to another socket (it has until now been plugged into a surge protected extension lead). No effect. This includes moving to a direct wall socket rather than an extension. Has anyone got any tips? Terrible timing as the kids have records coming for Christmas and our turntable now doesn’t work 😩
Hi all,My Sonos Connect box stopped responding with no lights on the front panel. I replaced the power supply (via eBay) and eventually managed to get it set up with SonoS S1 iPhone app, but I cannot get my other SonoS boxes to connect. The rest of my system consists of 3 x Connect:Amp and 3 x Play-3. I’m trying to add the first Connect:Amp and have turned the power off to all the other boxes. I would prefer to use wired connections for all the boxes as we have something interfering with the Sonos wifi signals for about 6 hours each day, and I want to avoid any potential problem with WiFi booster discs. Here are the detailed steps I’ve carried outperformed a factory reset on the Connect:Amp box (by holding down the mute and vol+ buttons when plugging in). powered down the Connect:Amp and turned it back on. Light starts by flashing white, and then the settles on a slow flashing green mute button on my iPhone SonoS S1 app, I go to System / Add Product. “Searching for your product” -
Hi Folks, my Sonos Port is plugged in to a Lyngdorf amplifier via digital coax and has worked fine since I set it up initially. However, I’m not hearing any sound from the Port now, and the amp says it’s receiving a “PCM Zero” signal - it was fine on Sunday but no sound from any source on via the Port now. Has an update changed something? Any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks!
"Lost sound from Connect to Denon receiver to listen to music on external B&W speakers. Through multiple contacts with Sonos, I was told my Connect was malfunctioning. Consequently, I ordered a Port to replace the Connect. I still have no sound. Anyone got a fix for me? ".
We just had a client call and tell us that they suddenly weren’t getting any audio out of their newly installed Sonos Amp. The connected TV nor any streaming music service would produce sound even though the app indicated it was playing. After walking them through the typical volume, mute and source scenarios, we decided to make a visit to the property. Everything appeared to be connected properly. We dove into the settings for that particular AMP and discovered that someone inadvertently lowered the volume limit so low that it was no longer audible. After turning off the volume limit, everything worked again. We’ve never seen this before in all of our years working with Sonos but glad it was an easy fix. If this happens to you, try going to settings > system > (select device with the issue) > volume limit. Volume limit should be OFF in typical situations. In our scenario it was set at 8% which is so low you wouldn’t be able to hear anything.
Hello, After having done renovation works at our house, I tried to install my favorite speakers again in each room. All is going well when I connect via the laptop (which is connected via Wifi), but when I want to control SONOS via my iphone app (all updated) - it doesnt show all speakers, has problems with finding the system at all, or does not push my actions to the system. Any help?
I have a system consisting of a CD player with passive speakers, and a turntable. The CD player doubles as the amp for the turntable.I recently bought a Port in order to play music in another room, which is equipped with an Era 300. That part is working as intended. My issue is that I can't make use of my passive speakers when using the Sonos system. The CD player is used to play Cd's or to amplify the turntable, thus I can't connect it to the Port's out. Did I actually needed a Sonos Amp instead of a Port?
I have a 3 Sonos connect system with an AMP and a Bridge from 2012. I have a bad Connect I believe. But not seeing any new units to purchase. Is there a replacement for the Connect?Brad
Last Christmas I purchased a Sonos AMP in order to connect a CD player to my Sonos speakers. I researched CD players but never purchased one. I am now ready to purchase a CD player and all the articles I am finding are outdated and the links are to CD players that are no longer in stock or available. What is the best and easiest CD player that I can purchase to connect to my Sonos AMP in order to play CD’s?
Every time except for one Artist I get the error message when trying to play music. Unable to play xxxxxxx cannot connect to \\xxxxxxxx because the server cannot be found. My WIFI is 1GB and having no other issues. Thanks, Brad
I can find my AMP in the Sonos app and is does not give any errors. However, I have no sound…it works sometime and sometimes it does not. I believe it has to do to with a netwerk issues but not sure. Any suggestions?
I use Series 1 Sonos products in 4 rooms. I have a Sonos 3, I use a Sonos amp and i have two Sonos Connects interfacing with two separate amplifiers both with in built DAC’s . One of the Connect’s has stopped functioning and needs replaced. I currently use the optical connection in the Cyrus DAC 8 . My question is can I drop in the replacement Port product or will this require two different apps to work my system- one Series One and one Series 2?
I have a Connect that is hardwired directly to my router, brand new quality cable (because Sonos support suggested I had a bad cable). I’ll be streaming music (from different sources like Pandora or YT Music) and the connect has frequent 2-3 second drop outs. When I’ve got wireless speakers in the same group - they keep playing and don’t lose connection while my Connect drops in and out. I’ve tried different network channel settings and no luck. I’ve experienced a similar problem with a Connect: Amp at another house, although that one is wireless… so the the only consistent factor is they are both the older connect and connect amp and just wondering if updates have caused an issue. They used to be far more reliable. Any suggestions?
Hello! My current set up: Our house has built in speakers throughout. We have a tech closet where all of our components are housed- and our Sonos system is the Sonos connect. We also have play 1 speakers through the house in rooms where we have no built in speakers. We listen to music through the app and it plays to which ever rooms or the overall speaker system.we are interested in getting a pro-Ject turntable and keep it in our living room. Is it possible for this to connect via Bluetooth or wireless? Since we have a tech closet, I would not be able to plug the turntable into anything ( just an outlet for power) is this possible? Also do I need to upgrade to the new port instead of using my connect?
I am now connected to Sonos 2 app and all works well except my external cd multiplayer because it was through Connect:AMP but now says only works with Sonos 1 but I cannot see a replacement, any suggestions I would be grateful Moderator edit: Changed Connect to Connect:AMP and Sonos 2 to Sonos 1 for accuracy
I just got buy first Sonos Amp and it looks like I am limited to my two main speakers based on the connection on the back of the Amp. So the Base, Midrange and two Tweeters will require another two Amps. Does this sound right?
