I have seen where this has happened in the past, but haven’t found anything relevent to my situation. Seems the volume -- especially on by playbar -- changes up or down for no apparent reason. It has also happened on my Play:1 a couple times.Diagnostic is at 1591053599.I have reset the playbar and the internet/wifi and still happening. Let me know if diag says anything.
I have a reproducible issue that applies to multiple Sonos speakers, looking for some help on how to resolve.Currently I have Sonos One’s and a few Subs in several (8) rooms and a couple of Sonos Fives. When starting to play music in the Sonos app across all speakers at once, the speaker that I am physically closest to always has a delay of about 5-10 seconds. Other speakers in my house start playing instantly.I can reproduce this in any room with any of the speakers and from any device (iPhone, iPad and Mac).Anyone else seeing this or have a solution?
excuse the typo in the subject...can’t seem to edit it...but you know what I meant to write! I’ve had a Sonos Beam for ages working happily on 2 Samsung TVs. I’ve recently got a new LG CX. Sound was fine for one week (connected through ARC) but yesterday morning I got up and the sound is no longer working from the tv. Sound when played through the S2 app is fine so it’s purely a tv connection issue. Tried new HDMI cable, tried unplugging and plugging in again. Factory reset as well but no change. Every time I try and connect to the tv through the app it fails saying the ARC isn’t available. on the tv this sort of symbol comes up when I switch to HDMI ARC. hope someone can help..
Please can you tell me how to erase a sonos system (remove speakers from my account) please. Thank you. In fact I have many problems and I wanna start it again to be sure everything will be fine Thank you
Often when playing music from my Plex server, the last ~10 seconds of each music track are truncated, along with the first few seconds of the next. The music just stops abruptly, and there’s silence until the next song picks up mid-note. It doesn’t always happen. Sometimes the same tracks play back flawlessly. The source is FLAC encoded audio tracks in a Plex music library. The player is a Playbar + Sub + 2xPlay:1’s in a surround setup.Other players, namely VLC, can play back the same tracks via DLNA just fine.Turning on crossfade doesn’t help. It just crossfades the silence. Grouping with other speakers in the house doesn’t help, either.Any clue what’s happening?
I recently setup my new Sony Bravia and the Playbase worked great. I could control the volume of a cable box, Netflix, Prime, etc, with the Sony system volume.I then fired up Youtube and the remote wouldn’t change the volume. I used the playbase hardware buttons to lower the volume, and subsequently the remote won’t change the volume of anything when controlling the Playbase (it of course works when I switch it to TV speakers).I’ve tried to unplug and plug in the Playbase and factory reset the TV to no avail.Any ideas?
Hello Just recently this started happening:I will be watching tv, with the sound coming from the playbar and start streaming music from my iPhone (via Spotify) to the playbar. The spotify music keeps dropping out from the playbar. I unplugged the optical connection from my tv and this seemed to help, but this never happened before and just started happening. Any Suggestions??
Lately I have been getting random static pops in my Sonos 5 (1st gen) speakers. I have 2 and it happens on both. Any idea what may be causing this. Never been an issue before.
I’ve been browsing the forums for a bit trying to resolve to drop out issues that seem to afflict one room in our house. Here is our setup:Network - Ubiquiti Unifi. The diagram isn’t completely accurate. The wired Sonos devices (boost in the living room, one of the satellites in the basement) are actually wired to the in-wall access points in their respective rooms (each in-wall AP has a 4 port switch built-in). Living Room - Playbar + Sub + 2x Play:1 satellites. There is a boost connected to ethernet in this room Basement - Playbar + Sub + 2x Sonos One satellites. One of the satellites is connected to ethernet in this room. Bathroom - Single Play:1 Everywhere - MoveThe Play:1 in the bathroom is reasonably far away from the living room but probably not too far for 2.4GHz so it should be talking to the living room boost. In a perfect world, I’d get rid of the boost and connect each Playbar to ethernet, but I’d have to run new ethernet drops which is possible but not easy given the room
I’m going out of town and would like to be able to turn some music on & off throughout the day so my house doesn’t appear to be empty. I downloaded the Yonomi app to my iPhone and conected it to my Sonos Cloud account but can’t find any instructions on how to use it to get my Sonos to go on. Anybody out there know how to do this?
I've had the Sonos Beam for three months now. As a soundbar for my Samsung TV it is excellent. As a Wi-Fi device it is terrible. It's sits with my Samaung TV, Sky Q box, Cambridge Audio Minx and Sony DVD player. All these devices never lose Wi-Fi connection but the Beam loses connection every other day.I can't talk to it via Alexa or Spotify and my Samsung phone Sonos App can't find it. The only way to get it to comeback is to reset the router. Getting mighty fed up with it now! Any ideas?Mark
Hi AllMy setup is as follows: 1x Playbar in the lounge, 2 x Sonos Play One speakers in the kitchen and 2 x Sonos Play One speakers on the patio. All Sonos products connect wirelessly over Sonos Net and I have a Boost plugged directly into the wifi router (which is at least one meter away from the wifi router). My wifi router’s 2.4Ghz channel runs on channel 11 and my Sonos Net on channel 6. The wifi router is in my lounge. I have assigned all my Sonos products static IP’s. I run a 100/10 fibre line. After doing all of this, my system still has lag and I experience drop outs. The speakers with poor connection are one in the kitchen and one on the patio. I cannot move these speakers and I cannot move my Boost nor my wifi router. The only problem can be the brick walls/structure of the house (none of which I can change).I am now going to hardwire all my Play On speakers (ie 2 x Sonos Play One speakers in the kitchen and 2 x Sonos Play One speakers on the patio) I can not hardwire my Playb
Hi guys, I have a comms cabinet with a bunch of equipment, and 9 Sonos Amps in it. The Amps are stocked in 2 x 2’s, across 3 shelvels (ie., 2 shelves each have 2 Amps on top of each other, beside another stack of 2). The temperature within this cabinet, even with cooling fans etc runs to 35°c-40°c. The Amps, and everything else inside the cabinet, are very warm to touch. What is the ideal temperature to run these at? If they are consistently at 35°c, is that detrimental to the product? I have a quote to entirely strip out the comms cabinet and rebuild it with better ventilation etc., but it’s a pretty expensive quote - so just wanted to know how a big an issue the temperature really was. Cheers,JK
Every time I open Sonos it fails to find one or more of my 3 connect amps. Sometimes they are there and then disappear. I have1 Play1 on Wi Fi3 Play 3 wired3 Connect Amps wiredand 1 bridge.
I have a new Samsung Frame TV connected via HDMI ARC to a Sonos AMP. Working perfectly until a few days ago. The system now is automatically switching off of the HDMI input and reverting back to the TV internal speakers… If I interact with the volume slider in the Sonos app it will switch back to the HDMI connection to the AMP, but then reverts back again to TV internal speakers after a few seconds. The TV audio input settings look correct, the Sonos system plays back music just fine and is connected to the Sonos app... Any ideas?
My surround system in the living room dropped off the Sonos plant randomly,.. after which I managed to reconnect the Play 3 surrounds and Sub just fine. Thankfully I had a spare Beam from another property which I was able to pilfer and setup the system again… In the meantime I have tried doing a hard reset to default factory settings, but the white light stays constant. I’ve tried connecting it directly to my hub, but nothing…. I’ve left it overnight just in case. But it doesn’t get picked up, or allow me to reset it.Not sure what else there is to do myself other than speak to the diagnostic team who don’t appear to work at the weekend, and during the week I’m not able to spend time addressing this.
Chasing some guidance run 6 older Sonos amps, s5 and even the old controllersjust purchased the new arc , one sl and sub two apps and now lost and can’t seem install all the older versions back on the original s1 app
The last update that came Through killed my system. My play 5 is not recognized even plugged in through Ethernet. Not only is this the most frustrating thing but clearly everybody is having this problem that has updated. not only that , the actual app has had HORRIBLE performance after the update. inalso feel taken advantage of because as soon as all this happen I received marketing material for the “upgrade” service from Sonos. If you guys need me to buy a new one for some reason just let me know but over a month dealing with this problem is unacceptable. anyone else get this fixed yet?
Hi I use S1 compatible products - 2 x Play 5 , Play 1 , 2x connects and wish to add a Sonos Connect amp that I’ve bought second hand from EBAY. I’ve reset it back to factory settings and tried adding it to my system but it keeps asking me to update it , but when I try, it just says that update unavailable. Is there any way around this or have I just wasted my money on EBAY?
I have my Connect wired to my router via ethernet which utilises my Home Cinema System for streaming and playing music from Itunes or other music stored on my Windows 10 PC.I have two Play 1 Speakers in another room running in stereo which are running off my routers WiFi connection.I prefer to have the option of running my Sonos system from the Windows 10 Controller AND have the convenience of also using the App on my phone at the same time. - I had no issues with this whatsoever pre ‘Update and S2.’ I.e. the original Sonos android app used to work quite happily with the Windows 10 Controller. This is no longer the case and is very frustrating among other issues since S2.I have found that Windows 10 controller will not find my Sonos system at all via WiFi any more, although the Android S2 will. - If I connect Sonos via Ethernet to my Connect, Windows 10 controller finds Sonos, but then the Android S2 App fails to find Sonos. - If I unplug the ethernet cable, Android S2 finds Sonos, bu
My sonos play 5 only works when connected to the router with Ethernet. When I disconnect the Ethernet cable it stops working. Going through the WiFi set up, it’s not recognising my WiFi password, even though I am inputting it correctly and the Play 1s we have in other rooms work fine. Please help! Thank you.
Unable to access France Inter, RTL and Europe 1 on TuneIn and Sonos Radio. Was okay last week. France Culture another station I have set appears okay. My separate Internet Radio gets the stations okay. Any suggestions please

I am trying to listen to my Spotify songs, via my Sonos system, comprised of four Play1 Sonos speakers. I try to include Spotify in my Sonos app, but it simply asks for a “link code”, which I do not have nor know what it is. Has anyone fixed such a problem?
