Hello,Ive been interested in investing in Sonos 5.1 surround sound stereo system, but confused with today’s technology. I presently have a stereo, RCA, wired, but would like to have better quality speakers. So, I thought Sonia speakers would be ideal. However, I’m not sure where to buy wired speakers. Everything seems to be Bluetooth wireless. I prefer landline for Bluetooth skips too much and clarity lacks on cloudy days. Where can I buy Sonos 5.1 surround sound stereo system and hook it up to my stereo?Thank you,RockyRoc

Hi,i have a lot of different Sonos models in my House, all connected via wifi from a wifi-6 Mesh router set-up.Some speakers are in pair-connection and others are alone in a Room. Sometimes when i play Music on all speakers, There is a short lack of Sound from one or more of the speaker/speakers.sometimes just one speaker from a paired connection looses the Sound for a minute or so, and other times it’s just random which Room loses the Sound. I’m i the only one the experience this?and is There a smart solution to this, Sonos boost or something Else?

This just started a few weeks ago.  I have never had this problem before. System: Beam, (2) play 1’s and sub for surround system.  Play 5.  Roam.I’m frequently losing connection to the sub and play 1’s in app for surround.  Intermittently lose connection of Roam.Nothing has changed with equipment; router and modem are the same.  Internet service is the same.  I did add (1) Roam to the system and now that I think about it…...these issues started when I added the Roam.Diagnostic submitted is 1597700739I’ve tried resetting network, rebooting mesh hubs, removing and adding back sub and play 1’s….all troubleshooting has failed.Please help.Danny

When I pick an album (Amazon music that I own), one of my Albums (linked to iTunes library), Spotify, or even Spotify’s “Made for Me” Daily Mix lists … Sonos only plays the first item over and over, never going to next. This is even though I pick “Play Now”.   has been going on for a few weeks (or longer?).  The only reliable music source I now have is Tune-in to a radio station, sadly.

Hi! My Plex Server is running from a NAS, I use it from Sonos app with an Android movile. My wife use it from an IPhone, but we both have the same problem while listen to music from Playing List: Most of the time it works fine, but sometimes music stops showing messeges like "plex conection lost" or "server unavailable".If i try to log out and log in again, may be the problem is fixed... or not.Sometimes I can listen to only 2 or 3 songs before the music stops again. Sometimes I just can't conect to the server, no matter how many times I try to.I have updated Plex Server and Sonos app versions but the problem continues.I am very dissapointed because this makes the system unusable.Any idea about what could be causing this or what can I do to solve this?Thanks in advance.

I have an Arc in my ‘living room’ connect to a LG C1 tv. I ask Alexa to turn off ‘living room’ (lights were on and tv was off) and lights turn off but the tv turns on! Here’s what happens:Ask Alexa to turn off tv when tv is off- will turn on tv (how do I fix this?!?!?)Ask Alexa to turn off tv when tv is on- works correctly and turns tv offAsk Alexa to turn on tv when tv is off - works correctly as tv is turned onAsk Alexa to turn on tv when tv is on- works correctly, tv stays on When I unplug the arc and use my dot, and ask Alexa to turn off ‘living room’ now tv is not affected anymore. So it seems the Arc is doing this… any help?!?

Hi,can anyone tell me whether Sonos has sorted the issue with Dolby digital + ?. I’ve recently bought a beam and after setup it only outputs stereo and I’ve read a lot of issues about this over the last couple of days, although my Samsung ru8000 65” allows Dolby digital +. Is it worth me sending the beam back and getting an arc or will it make no difference ?

Hello Sonos, I have a problem i can’t figure out, it started not long ago.we have a play 5, in our living room, sonos one sl, in our kitchen, and a play 1, on our first floor.  When We play music, and have them all 3 playing, then the play 5, drops out - if i disconnect play 1, then there is no problems.if play 5 is running, then i cant get play 1 to work.  diagnostic report : 1249672719 kind regards Lars Renner

After restarting my Wi-Fi, my 2 Sonos controllers aren't working and don't seem to see the rest of the system (speakers).  Its all WiFi etc.  I've tried a factory restart on one but that hasn't worked.   Ive taken my Sonos Connect out of the system but that shouldn't matter?

Hi,I’m investing in Sonos environment and I will buy soon a Sonos amp to power some in-ceiling speakers and I was wondering whether I could “recycle” and integrate in my Sonos environment one speaker I bought years ago which has an amazing sound.It is a Geneva Lab model M speaker which is basically as powered speaker with a dock for iphone on the top, a radio tuner inside and also a Line-In 3.5mm plug at the back.Here’s an idea of the Geneva Speaker, this link is for the S model which basically the same but without the Iphone dock on the the top:https://appleinsider.com/articles/13/08/31/review-geneva-lab-model-s-wireless-speaker Do you think I could connect the Sonos amp to the Line-In of my Geneva speaker in order to stream music to all my Sonos speakers but also the the Geneva speaker?I that’s possible, what sort of materials/accessories is required to connect both?Many thanks in advance for your advice!  

For some reasons the Local radio are in the wrong city. It is et for Ottawa and I live in Montreal. How can I change that? Gerard

All other aspects of the YouTube connection are positive in Google. 3rd party apps shows the Sonos app has permissions for YouTube Music. Activity is tracked in Google activity tracking. Sonos app shows ALL the right YouTube Music information on music through ALL aspects of search (New, Charts, Playlists, etc)However, I still have the error coming up in Sonos app. I can go to Google and look at activity and it shows the songs (videos though) as being played for the short period before it errors in Sonos. So the Sonos app is attempting to talk to YouTube Music, get’s a connection and link, then get’s an encoding error as it is a video it is hitting and not YouTube Music (therefor the encoding error).There are so many rabbit holes to follow to fix, but it looks like the Sonos app is sending the wrong call to YouTube and getting a “Video” response rather than a “Mp4/Music encoding” response and can’t play it resulting in an “unable to connect to YouTube Music”.It would be appreciated if y

Greetings,Wondering what settings everyone is using (if you even have to tweak it at all) When I run the airplay sync on the atv it throws off the lip sync big time.I know there’s an option to fine tune the sync in the Sonos app but that didn’t seem to help.ThanksRyan

Here is my diagnosis code: 1444175297i watched mortal Kombat and now Stowaway on HBO Max and Netflix, respectively. The sound has gaps intermittently and I have already disconnected the hdmi cable and restarted the sonos arc and I’m still getting the same issue. 

I am trying to add a second sub to my currentPlay:5 + sub setup. In settings->system->room there is no option to add a second sub. I also try to assign the sub to the room, but it says ‘a compatible sonos speaker is required …’ anybody achieved second sub wirh play:5?

Would I be able to use a PLAY 5: GEN 2 in a room system with a Beam and two PLAY 1 speakers?  I know I can have them in the same room to play audio and music, but my question is if I can actually include it in the stereo system, like how I use the Play 1 speakers as rear stereo with my TV and Beam.

I’ve pretty much uploaded all of my music to my WDPR2100 NAS. Well at least on the tail end. It’s taking me over a week to figure it out and to copy to NAS. So I’m trying to figure out how to use my NAS to play music on Sonos now. I’m not having much luck. I’ve searched here and found a few old post. One post took me to this...https://support.sonos.com/s/article/78?language=en_US. I followed the directions on my Windows laptop and and my iPhone. Took me a few try’s on the iPhone to get to the Next button. I typed in \\y:mycloudpr2100\music and Next highlighted finally. But when I hit Next I get the message The computer y:mycloudpr2100 cannot be found. I tried my user name and password and still same message. Do I need to configure this on my Windows laptop first before my iPhone? What am I missing here? 

I have a beam and 2 sonos 1’s linked together in my apartment. I bought the roam for trips and the beach etc. and just want it in my closet when I’m not using it. Problem is whenever I tell my Sonos Beam to play music on my devices it automatically turns on my roam. This is real annoying. Any thoughts or solutions to this? 

Is there a workaround or a software fix coming to prevent Roam speakers from automatically unpairing stereo mode when completely powered off (which you must do to preserve battery life)?

I've got two Sonos devices, but now I can only play Spotify on both of them at the same time. Both devices show up on the Sonos app, but it always plays on both, calling them {name of Sonos 1} 1. I've tried reinstalling the two apps but nothing helos

I have a few Play 1s and a couple of Play 5s at home and havent had many issues up until recently.  A couple of months ago, music stopped playing midstream and checked Sonos App on iphone to get it to play again.  App said it could not connect to the system.  After some reading I tried unplugging all the speakers, resetting modem and speakers plugging back in.  Found them again on the network.  This lasted maybe an hour or two before not being able to be found again.  Multiple resets and still having the issue. A few months before problem started, I upgraded to ATT Fiber.  No problem with Sonos, but figured maybe its a connection/router issue.  I connected my old router to the Fiber modem/router and relaunched my old wifi router connection.  Setup Sonos new on that router and worked for about 5 minutes before being unable to connect again.  Also, I can see the Sonos speakers active on my network when I check for devices that are connected, so they are there and connected to the network

Have just received a brand new Sonos Arc from the States. I live in Israel and our electrical system uses 220 volts. Do I need a tranformer?

Hi!I want to make HT in such config:Apple TV - Projector - two AMPs (1 - for Front Speakers, 2 - for Surr Speakers) SubI need digital HDMI “switch” box with:1 - HDMI input - for Apple TV2 - HDMI output for Projector. Projector have HDMI input.3 - HDMI ARC output for AMP 1.Do somebody did same setup?Do somebody have advice about HDMI “switch”?

Hi my surrounds are very quiet when listening to twitch or YouTube through my nvidia sheild even when I turn the app setting to the highest volume.If the service like twitch only sends a PCM stereo signal out then why can’t I set my surrounds as full volume as the beam!I know you can do this through music streamed through the Sonos app but why can’t you set this for the tv optical out?I do not want to keep pairing and in pairing the surrounds every time I want to use my nvidia sheild.I have spent so much money on this set up and looking through the forum this has been a major problem that you still haven’t addressed.
