If I play a playlist in the official Spotify Android app and then cast to my Sonos Roam, whenever it automatically moves on to the next song it won’t update the song title, artist, artwork in the app or notification controls etc… It does update when you change the song manually.It also works as expected in the Sonos app itself.This is using a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with Android 8 installed and the official Spotify Android app version 8.6.18.720.

Ever since the new upgrade when I shuffle on this mobile device everything is fine initially but after a couple of songs the queue changes and freezes. Sometimes the music plays without the now playing updating. Eventually I need to relaunch the shuffle.  Any idea what is going on? 

When listening to tracks in Sonos (linked to Deezer) I have the option to Like (heart) or dislike ( restrict symbol). Now like songs are added to favourites but does anyone know where the dislike list is? 

Hi allI have a beam and just purchased 2 ones to act as surrounds. I have a Samsung tv which is about 6yrs old. It has a hdmi port but it is not hdmi arc so I am connecting the beam via optical. I also have an Apple TV I use as a set top box. Difficulty I am having is because my beam is connected via optical I can only get pcm audio from my tv and the surrounds are extremely low volume. The tv supports dts neo 2.5 but only through the hdmi not the optical, it seems. Is it even worth having the surrounds with just pcm? i have to say I expected a lot better than this for $400. Any help much appreciated 

So I’ve connected the roam at home, works fine. 👍So can I now take the roam to work and use it via Bluetooth? (Without Wi-fi)At work it’s showing I’m connected, got a blue light and on my phone it’s connected, but I can’t select any music from my library!! In the setting menu, my email is clouded so I can’t open it!! 

My Move shows as offline in App, however when connected to Airplay will stream without issue until added to my network, then the Move drops out.  I have reset and rejoined the Move several times without any improvement.  A System Diagnostics report has been submitted. The Bluetooth button does not switch between WiFi and Bluetooth :-(  Any help would be appreciated.

For quite some time now my Google Home Hub can not control my connected Sonos speakers, no matter what command I give. I unlinked and link the Sonos service multiple times and all speakers appear in their correct rooms in the Google home app. Whenever I select a speaker in the app though, I don’t get any controls (think I used to?) just a screen with basic information: Sonos speaker in Google home appAlso, when I select ‘Media’ in the Google home app, my ‘kitchen display’ (the Home Hub) is the only device shown. I tried to do the voice assistant set up via the Sonos app as shown in Set up a Google Assistant device to control Sonos but instead of the option to ‘set up your google home to work with Sonos’ shown in the GIF, I only get the option to ‘Add to Sonos’ which brings up the option to set up Google assistant on my Move (which has this function built in of course). I have a Playbar and One that are paired together. However, from time-to-time, the Playbar will just stop playing music (even when it says it’s on and paired with the One) while the One works fine perfectly fine. I know the Playbar is a Gen 1 and One is a Gen 2, but I’m not sure why the Playbar would just stop playing music.  Sometimes the Playbar will be on and recognized on the Sonos app, but it just won’t play music from the get go. Other times the Playbar won’t even be recognized when I turn music on. When either of these issues pop up, I have to unplug the Playbar and plug it back in for it to start working.  Anyone else experiencing these issues?

Just curious, anyone else order a arc set around the first week of April and have had their order shipped? I got a estimated ship date of April 23rd back when I ordered it, but all it says is order is placed and it’s backordered. Is there still hope for it to ship on or before the 23rd? Thanks!

i keep getting error code 800 on my new roam.  says check network connection -  how ?  i go to network under settings and it asked me to sign in everytime.  I sign in and then it just pops up the setup problem screen again.  So frustrating.  This ain’t an Alexa setup for sure.

Hi all. Am I correct in thinking I could buy a usb turntable then connect it to play through my MacBook and then output via Airplay to any or all of my Sonos speakers? Or am I missing something?Seems a better idea than a bluetooth turntable to my Move because the other speakers can't get involved. Roam sounded promising until I read that Sound Swap cannot swap a bluetooth source back to the other speakers that are on wifi.I realise that a port or sub or 5 or connect with line in would probably be better but just trying to work with what I already own after buying a turntable. My old vinyl wants out of the loft!!

This has been asked about before but the forum threads seem old. So here it is again in case there is new information available.My Sonos 1 sometimes understands commands but mostly doesn’t. We end up shouting at it, singing at it, saying please, and then usually give up and just play spotify/radio on it by using the app instead. Sort of defeats the object. For now I have the Google Home back in it’s place so the family can all use it without stressing every time. The Sonos has been relegated to my workshop where it barely sees the light of day :(  Any help please  

I have had sonos for a few years now. I initially had a play 3 with a bridge (this worked fine). After the system upgrades a few years ago the bridge went, along with the play 3 (different reasons). I now have a move and a play 1 and no bridge. Almost every time i come to use it i have to restart the router to make it connect. Constantly i have “unable to connect fix it” message, using that link does nothing except make you reconnect everything, utterly useless. I use the speakers without cables, since this is by far the most convenient setup for me. But it simply doesnt work. My laptop, my tv, my phones, everything else works fine, never a problem. But the speakers just dont work properly. I try them separately, together, through spotify, through sonos app nothing. Only a router reboot does the job. This is hardly a seamless system. I have moved house 4 times with this system, each time have a new WiFi network from a different provider in a different location. And always never a probl

How do people generally interact with Spotify and the Sonos App? I’m keen to use the Sonos app as I like the user interface but the biggest issue for me is that it doesn’t have an offline mode in the way Spotify does. So if I start to create all my playlist in the Sonos app using Spotify subscription, but then leave home and want to listen on headphones (without connection) I’d have to go back to Spotify direct which won’t have my saved playlist. This keeps me using Spotify and just using the connect feature to put music to my speakers, but I’d imagine Sonos want to address this. It would also be a reason I would be reluctant to buy any future Sonos headphones. How would you use it on a plane for instance?

I’m about to receive a second Arc for the upstairs LG tv. I was wondering if I should connect the new Arc with ethernet, or will the existing Sonos net, based on the first Arc (which IS connected by ethernet, and it’s the only Sonos component connected with wire)  suffice? Is the direct ethernet connection for the second Arc required, redundant or harmful? BTW, I’ve had the first Arc (with a sub) for a month, and I feel like I’ve jumped generations of technology, absolutely love this system!Thanks!

I am thinking of buying a Roam and wondering if I will have any problems as my phone is Android 7.Currently I have a Play:5 and two Play:1s controlled from my Android 7 phone and Windows 10 PC.  The S2 app on the phone works fine.  The only annoyance is the orange dot and the message “The OS on this device is no longer supported”.If I understand the S2 app limitations correctly I think I may have to add the Roam manually on the phone and/or the PC.  Other than that will a Roam work with my set up?Alan

So I have previously had a Sonos Connect for a long time as my way of playing through my Denon Av receiver. I used to have Russound but have since replaced that with 3 Sonos Amps powering in wall speakers with numerous Sonos 1s around the house. As the Connect is aged and doesn’t mesh with the new updates I would like to replace it. That said it would be nice if I could find a way to have my Sonos turn on my Av receiver like my Apple TV when I use the remote and then play music into the Denon say from a Sonos Port or Arc or whatever. I’m just tired of having to turn on my Denon and then change the input to have my Sonos music play in my living room.  I only use my Sharp Aquos Quattron LC-60LE832U as a monitor with the Arc HDMI feeding my Denon. So my Apple Tv, bluray player, and xbox are connected to my Denon. What are my options?

I have an system arc + gen 3+ 2 sl that that have being working fine for almost 5 months. Some days ago the sub stop giving sound.  Restore sub and arc to factory settings,  reset app but with no luck.When I connect the SL with the sub,the gen3 works fine, the problem is when I try to connect with arc. In the app everything is connected but gen 3 doesn't respond ( for example in mute the light stays white instead of turning green).

So…..  With the new S1 & S2 controlers now discriminating devices i am no longer able to play the same music in all rooms in my house !!!!!The 4 play 5 speakers i have in the livingroom can now ONLY work with the S1 controler.And the bedrooms, Kitchen, Garage & Office only work on the S2 controler.So im either Forced to buy 4 new play 5 speakers to enable all music in all rooms.Or live with the fact that after years of excelent service …. Some bright spark at Sonos thinks this is an exceptable UPGRADE !!!!!!!I THINK IT SUCKS !!!!!

Dears I still have 3 x Play:1’s in my system which is controlled by the S2 software.Controlling these Play:1’s goes smoothly with the S2: I have a stereo pair which I can group with the eARC etc …The SONOS scan of my system tells me that these Play:1’s are not S2 compatible.Is there an issue that I’m not aware of ?Will there be an issue in the near future ? rgds Luc 

Thinking of purchasing an Arc. My entertainment center soundbar shelf is 4” high and 58” across. Considering the Arc dimensions, side, and upward firing speakers will the sound be adversely affected?

Can you make old model Sonos play 5 etc work with google assist etc, can it sync with a google nest or any other options, Cheers 

My new Roam wants to connect through a pop up in the Sonos App and I can’t find a way (having reset twice so far) to get the Roam connected to Sonos Boost and not the general home wifi. It will only show in the Sonos System Info in the About My System as WM 1 while all other products are WM 0. It will be frustrating if the Roam cannot benefit from the Boost while at home and therefore suffers the very same problems that caused me to get the Boost in the first place. 

HI AllI have just used the upgrade programme to replace my ZP100 and Connect:AMP with a Port and an Amp.I thought I had to return the old kit and then realised that actually I didn’t. So I thought I’d use the old Connect:AMP in my office, standalone, using S1.So I reset it and got an old iPhone 7 with S1 installed on it.  Now I can go through the setup of a new system just fine. The Connect:AMP appears as the only device. However, it doesn’t show any sources of music.  So I see in the system settings that it needs an update.But the update fails with an 1101 error.Steps that I’ve tried to resolve this are as follows (all result in the same failure):Connect via ethernetRestart the Connect:AMPReset the Connect:AMPReboot the routerReboot the controllerMove closer to the routerUse a different controller (a different iPhone 7)Tried tech Support, but on agents were available.Any ideas ?Thanks in advance !
