I may be completely missing the point here...but when I take my Roam out and about the S2 app becomes unusable as a control for the speaker. As soon as I am beyond range of the home WiFi the app simply reports the error that there is no WiFi (correct) and effectively locks all functionality. How does this support the use case of taking Roam to the beach/ park etc?

I am getting an error when playing the This American Life podcast to SONOS using either Pocket Casts or Tunein.  The error message is:“Unable to play “episode title”.  The song is not encoded correctly.”This error occurs when I try to either fast forward or restart a podcast.  If I play the podcast from the beginning without stopping I do not get the error and it plays correctly. The error does not occur when I play the podcast on other bluetooth speakers. I do not get the error from any other podcast.  I have only started getting this error in recent weeks. I get the error when I play the podcast from my iPad or my android phone.  I get the error on all episodes, even those I have played in the past. I have unsubscribed and re-subscribed.  I have deleted and then downloaded episodes again.  But the problem persists. This is a very specific and odd problem and I am hoping someone might have a suggestions on how to fix this. 

Hello,I have a very annoying and disapointing issue with my Sonos Arc.First , with streaming services like Spotify, I need to put the volume up to 50% for earing music with good quality (loud and clear), whereas  20% were enough with my previous soundbar. I am a little bit sad about this. Second, the tv sound (lg cx 55’) is much louder and clearer without the sound bar. I need to put the sonos arc to 70%. (dolby 2.0) On Amazon Prime, directly from the tv : 30% is enough (dolby 5.1) , on netflix 40% (dolby 5.1 or pcm 2.0), spotify and youtube 20%. With the PS4, LPCM is not a fairy tale, i can’t passtrough 5.1 correctly , the app indicates 7.1 and the sound is very quiet. On dolby the sound suffers from a brief delay and it’s not very clear. I am very annoyed and disapointed, i wouldn’t recommend sonos. I can’t return my soundbar to my local supplier now, but for me it is just not usable. My tv is up to date, my soundbar is up to date .. I’ve tested many combinaison (arc → earc, passtrou

I'm using a sonos port which is connected to my recordplayer. The Port is connected via a LAN cable to my router (Sonosnet channel 1) and the music has been set to compressed...and is played via multiple One'sStill I'm losing audio; The music sometimes is not played for 10-20 seconds before it starts playing again.Also the sonos s2 app (on my Iphone) states that it can't connect to SonosAny idea how to resolve this? Eventhough sonos is wired, can it have something to do with my wifi?

The latest version upgrade of S2 12.2.4 has started to say that the OS on my Motorola G4+ phone Android 7.0 is no longer supported. It now no longer finds my Sonos Play:1 and Play:3 speakers in the app. The notification directs me to the Sonos website documentation that says that Andriod 7 is supported. I haven’t seen any announcements that Sonos is dropping support for Android 7. Why is this happening?

So I had 2 play 5 gen 2s using a line in and optical adapter from my tv paired with 2 play 1 as rear “surround” speakers. This weekend I bought a Sonos arc and connected the 2 play 1 as the surround speakers, it’s awesome.  however when I paired it with my 2 Sonos play 5s (which are in a stereo pair) it had an echo. I was able to adjust the tv dialogue sync to +2 and it fixed it.  however my question is, is their a way to pair them with the arc so it reads as an entire system. I use Google tv and the remote will control the arc but not the play 5 volume. My hope is to find a way to pair all 5 speakers together as one. Any tips would be appreciated.  in a perfect world I’d love to be able to pair them all together and have the low end come from the play 5s.  I realize this is overkill, trust me I’m married, I’ve heard it. So just helpful tips no judgement on my choice to go deaf by 50. 

I plan to install my five pair horizontally. im guessing they will still work as stereo pair and not have to be used vertically for them to work as they should. I know it sounds like a stupid question but I just want to make sure. 

Can you use the same Sonos email account for both the S1 and S1 "parts" in a s1 s2 split system - or - do you need a different e-mail for the new s2 part?

Installing a 16x12’ shingled roof pavilion about 6-8 feet away from pool. Trying to determine if a pair of Sonance outdoor or Move is the better option. I’m thinking about mounting them onto the 2 rear posts of the pavilion facing the pool, positioned up high on the 8’ posts They would end up about 18-20’ away from the pool. I already have 4 Polk Atrium 5s running thru a Connect that are approx 40 feet away on the opposite side of the pool and pointed toward the pool.If Sonance outdoor, I need an amp but those aren’t rated for outdoor use, right?  If Move, the charging base isn’t rated for outdoor use.Am I missing something or is there not a complete outdoor solution? 

Got a new Sonos Roam and added it successfully into my Sonos ecosystem however on the S2 app while I can select music to play on the roam (and it does) the app shows “no music selected” even though music is playing. This also means I can’t control playback. I can group the speak successfully and then control the music, it just doesn't work when it's just the roam.  Another minor bug is that under Settings, Sonos Roam, EQ, Loudeness isvalways shown as off even though it's enabled. Toggling the switch confirms this. 

There are several articles etc online about this but most seem out of date. Am I able to have the Sonos control show on my iPhone X Lock Screen? Do I have to somehow turn off airplay to do this? If so, why? Because that is very annoying. If I do, how do I do it?

Hi everyone, At home we have a system comprised of: 1 x Arc1 x Beam1 x Play:11 x Play:5 All have been working as intended previously, and even after we first setup Alexa the system continued to work fine both via voice commands and through the Sonos App for a while. Recently though, it seems that the Alexa app is somehow stopping the Sonos app from seeing our speakers, as we can continue to control them via voice commands but the Sonos app consistently gives us the message “Unable to connect to Sonos”. Sometimes turning our wifi router off and on works, sometimes just turning it off and on in our iPhone device settings seems to reset things, but only temporarily and we then have issues adding things to the queue via the Sonos app.  Things we’ve tried:Following the app troubleshooting process (turn off all speakers, then back on, turn off router, then back on, discover devices etc. - This has limited and very temporary success) Deleting and re-downloading the Sonos app Reconnecting the

Had my new Roam on a QI charging pad for twelve hours now - noticed orange light was flashing but it’s not even warm so not sure why. Switched it on and it’s still only on 53% charge??

Hi all, I’m looking to buy a record player and already have two Sonos One speakers that I’m using as a pair. I’m trying to figure out if I can connect the One speakers to the Amp wirelessly and use them as output for my record player. I also would like to upgrade in the near future with a Sonos Beam for a home theatre.  Would this setup work? That is, (2) Sonos One speakers + Beam + Amp + Record player? If not, what would you recommend?

Why does my Sonos app show that I have a subscription for Sonos Radio HD when I don't?When I click on the link, it opens this page:Can you please stop pushing your HD radio? I have not spent hundreds of pounds on your equipment so that I can listen to radio, HD or otherwise.  If I want your HD radio, I'll subscribe, but please remove this duff information about me having a subscription when I don't!   

I have a Sonos one and recently when I play BBC Sounds or Spotify on my iPhone 12 pro  (ios 14.4.2) and try to stream via airplay to the Sonos is get a message saying it can not connect. When I go into the Sonos app it’s says “unable to connect..)I’ve tried all the standard fixes … switching off and on. Switching the router off and on and resetting the Sonos. Any ideas?

Chromecast or Apple TV ?And which port is the best for it, HDMI or optical ?

We cannot get our sonos system working with our android phones. We have 2x sonos one sl speakers, and we were looking to expand, but we can not connect to our sonos system from our android phones. We daily reset our router, restore to factor settings on sonos speakers, but after the initial setup on connecting the speakers to our system, we loose connection, and the sonos app cannot find our system and speakers. We have tried everything from reinstalling sonos app, reset ting our router, factory settings on speakers, and yes the speakers and phones are on the same stable WiFi with maximum signal. We have No option for wired settings. This issue with No detection to sonos system from the app is extremly frustration. Anyone Who could help? Ty in advance This has lasted for two months now. 

I currently have 2 x Play 3’s (in different rooms) and looking to add a turntable to setup. I thought the only way this was possible was via the Sonos Port but having looked into this a solution i believe is getting a Five and connecting via line-in. I’m just weighing up my options now. I have a few questions/concerns and would appreciate any inputs from the community!  If I was to bring my 2 x Play 3’s together in the same room and pair as L & R - I understand i would need a Sonos Port to connect the turntable to this. Would this give me better sound/pack more of a punch than if i was just to replace with 1 x Five? It’s an average sized living room and currently the 1 x Play 3 in there is adequate for music but i really like the idea of L & R. Could I still get the same richness of sounds from the latest tech and single speaker of the Five?  My concern on pairing the 2 x Play 3’s is that these speakers are quite old. Hey guys, new sonos arc and sub owner here. Absolutely love the new setup. However my PS5 requires vastly different EQ settings than watching movies. I can’t seem to find any way to save EQ profiles. Anyone figure it out?

I currently have a Playbar and 2 Play Ones set up as a 3.0 tv system. While this is nice, i want more:) what do you think is more worthwhile, add a Sub (we live in an apt so a little worried about the bass) or upgrade to the Arc? If I go the upgrade to the Arc route do I need to move the Playbar to another room or can it still be integrated with the Arc and 2 play ones?

I installed a new Sonos Roam, selecting the "new system" option, since my other Sonos speakers are in a different location. My Sonos S2 app on my iPhone recognizes the Roam and I can connect it to the WLAN. At the end of the setup process, I get a message that the setup was successful and also a note that if the Roam doesn't show up immediately in "System", restart the Roam and it will appear in the "System" tab. However, restarting the Roam does nothing, it still does not appear in "System". System is grayed out in the S2 app and not clickable. I have already reset the Roam several times to factory default without any success. I always end up back in the same state.What can I do? 

It turns out that I cannot update anymore my library music index because the operative system (Android) on my phone is too old, though I did run an update not such a long time ago! This is very annoying and irritating indeed. Am I supposed to buy a new phone every time Sonos stops supporting a certain version of Android? Is this some kind of planned obsolescence in agreement with Apple, Samsung and co to force customers to buy a new phone? I’m wondering more and more. If Sonos folks want to buy me a new phone they are welcome! I just feel like selling all my Sonos stuff and going back to my old good CD and LP players.
