Sonos Beam won't broadcast; Sonos One will broadcast.  Using Google Assistant.  Here’s what happens:

ME:  OK Google, broadcast.

SYSTEM:  What’s the message?

ME:  la la la la la

SYSTEM:  OK, broadcasting now.

Then … nothing.

Beam now OK.  It was an issue of same:  same account all devices (GH), same network.  All fixed.

Is the Sonos ‘One’ set as the default speaker for a Google Nest device, perhaps?

I don’t believe the Google ‘Broadcast’ feature is supported on Sonos products,  so I’m thinking the ‘One’ has possibly been set as the default speaker for an actual Google device and that might be why that speaker is included in the broadcast.

On my system I can broadcast via GA. Works very well to call my kids to dinner……

I use Sonos One's, a Beam and a Symfonisk used as a preferred speker for a Home Mini. I also use a Nest Mini. All speakers an Mini's are set to the same Google account.
