Hi All,I have an intermittent issue where when I switch on or Samsung TV (after it’s been on standby) there will be no sound coming out of the beam. I then must select another source/input on the tv and then switch it back and then the sound will kick back in.I have had this issue for ages and is a bit of pain and wondered if anyone has had the same or knows how to fix it?

Several months back there was an announcement that Arc would be able to play Atmos Music streamed from Amazon and maybe Apple? Latest 13.3.3 firmware update still doesn't provide this capability as far as I can tell. Anyone seen or heard anything new on this subject?

Hi, I have an XGIMI projector which we use every Friday night and store in between uses.  At present we just bluetooth the audio to a portable speaker.     It works well but I was going to upgrade to a move or a roam.  When I cast via bluetooth to can I thriough that connect it to all the speakers I have in the room - a couple of play ones and and a sonos 5.   If i can I might get the roam.   Thank you David

I used to have my Sonos Amp connected to my Pro-ject turntable (debut III with preamp). I moved my Amp away and recently also got a Sonos Port. I connected my turntable to the port and want to use it as an input for the record player. But the audio keeps dropping, at some point my system goes total haywire. Most Sonos devices totally drop out and are missing from the system and after a while come back. Today it even when they came back claimed two S2 products (Ikea speakers) where incompatible with S2 and after a few more minutes they did show up normally again.This is my setup:Pro-ject recordplayer line into Sonos PortSonos Amp Sonos Arc + Sub + 2 Sonos Ones SL2 Sonos Ikea speakersSonos OneSonos Play:1Sonos RoamSonos Boost The port is NOT connected to any receiver and just functioning as a line in for the turntable.I try and play the line in on the Arc, Play:1 and/or Amp. Please click here to see a list of more topics around the same subject. So basically the orange LED is flashing slowly, i tried to read thru the manual and it said the product is in too hot environment (?), my room temperature is approx. 23°C. Also the speaker is now unresponsive and wont turn on or off, nor is showing in my Sonos app anymore. Any tips for solving this?  Edit: I tried to plug it into a charger but that did not help either, its completely bricked. Kinda disappointed, i was only able to use it for total of 45 minutes yesterday…Money well spent💸💸

This forum helped me get a new Sonos speaker working at my office yesterday, however, when I got home, the Sonos speaker in my living room was no longer working!So I have two Sonos systems - a grouped pair in my living room, and a single Sonos One at my office (miles away on a different wifi network)When I disable and re-enable the Sonos skill, it asks which Sonos speaker to control (out of a list of two). Whichever one I select now works, but the one I couldn’t select, no longer works. Is it possible to have two Sonos speakers in the Alexa eco-system?I’ve attached screenshots of the group setup for the two rooms. Thanks in advance!  

Hi there, I’m trying to set up surround sound using 2 x play 1 and a beam. It works great when playing music but if I stream Netflix I only get sound from the beam. I’ve checked and the beam is receiving Dolby digital 5.1 audio in but there is still no sound coming from either play 1. 

Hello, I have the same issue as in this topic. The line-in used to work well, but now, it comes and go : I made a factory reset, without success Tried several RCA wire, of course Reboot router, of course Checked that Line out from the Hifi Amp was OK, of courseI called the technical support, of course - no comment - the guy/girl was not aware about the use cases of the Sonos Connect (Turntable > Hifi Amp > Connect RCA In or Connect RCA Out > Hifi Amp > Hi-fi Speaker)  I send my logs to the support : no idea - Your Connect is KOThis is the limit of Sonos in 2021. No fixing - No repair : You just have to buy the new model.Any idea? Thanks a lot.

Hi,I recieved a Sonos One SL for Christmas and would be very happy with it, however I seem to have an issue with it where it keeps disconnecting from my WiFi. It will only disconnect when it starts to play a song, and 9 times out of 10 it will disconnect before the song is over. If I don’t play any song the speaker will stay connected to the WiFi without any issue.I have tried removing my WiFi from the list and re-adding it, however the issue still persists. The speaker is located very close to the router, and I have tested it at various distances but this seems to have no effect. If the speaker is plugged into the router via ethernet cable then I don’t run into any issues.I have checked that my router settings are set to be compatable with the speaker, and so far as I can tell they are (standard is set to 802.11 b/g/n, and the security mode is WPA+WPA2 PSK).I have submitted support diagnostics if you need them, the confirmation number is 1165836081.Thanks in advance!

This issue has been posted several times on here by various users, and no real answer / solution has been provided yet — so let’s try one more time!I’ve had this issue for around 6 months now, started as soon as I switched back to Apple Music from Tidal.The Problem: Certain views of “My Music” cannot be accessed in the Sonos controller app. For me, the issue is isolated to “Apple Music → My Music → Artists” and “Apple Music → My Music → Albums”. The precise error message is “We’ve run into a problem. Try again.”SONOS TEAM: this is NOT a wifi issue, and I’ve already gone through the obvious troubleshooting steps (all the way down to a complete factory reset across every speaker and set the system up again from scratch). I’m a technology architect, I deal with issues like this everyday. This is a software bug that needs to be raised with the appropriate product manager. So I have an arc, two SL’s and a sub. Overall I love the quality I’m getting. However I do have some issues with hearing dialogue in movies. I feel there’s a balancing issue. The background music and effects are great but they’re considerably louder than the dialogue which causes me to to crank the volume to hear/understand the dialogue.  I haven’t found a way to balance this in the app so I’ve been thinking of adding a Sonos five (or a second arc) behind the viewing area of my sectional. Any advice?

I have just taken the plunge and ordered a Beam Gen 2 to replace original Beam in a Home Theater setup with two Play:1 providing surround.  This will release the original Beam to be used with our bedroom tv providing much needed sound improvement.  Will I need to reinstall all from scratch or just add the new device and associate the surround speakers with it and then just change the romm for the original Beam?  No real clarity for such a move in support search

I have alarms set on my Sonos Roam but am now on vacation and away from my home network and want to disable the alarms so they don’t go off every morning.  Is there a way to do this with the Roam in Bluetooth mode?

I purchased my third Sonos One over the holidays to add to my office. It's been a nightmare getting this set up with Amazon Alexa. It seems the problem is in the discovery phase - Alexa doesn’t locate the Sonos. However, in the Alexa app, unlike my existing Sonos One which is depicted by a speaker icon, the new Sonos One is being represented by a wifi icon and not the speaker icon, which I’m thinking is the source of my troubles. I have been fiddling with it for several hours but can’t get it to work. Anyone run into this before?This was a refurb bought directly from Sonos, and I’m wondering if it's got issues. It is running 13.4.1I’ve attached a screenshot showing the icon representing the new Sonos. I appreciate any help!  

I currently do not own any sono’s products, but am looking to invest in some. Here is my situation/set up. I just got a new Rega Planar 1 Plus turntable (with built in phono stage), and want to get some speakers for it.I have a fire place with book shelves on both sides. My turntable is on the right side, and I would like to get a set of speakers so I have one speaker on the left side of the fireplace and one on the right side of the fire place - so...I need 2 speakers that do not have to physically connect to one another. Both speakers can be physically plugged into the wall no problem (I have an outlet on both sides of the fireplace) but I need speakers that will sync/”talk to each other” without being physically connected. Does Sonos have any speaker sets like this? My turntable is not bluetooth enabled, so one of the speakers would have to connect directly to my turntable, and then “talk to” the other speaker not connected to the turntable. Is this possible with Sonos as well?  

Good evening (20,20 here in Italy), as topic title sais , i just ordered  Beam gen 2 and 2 ikea symphonics bookshelves as surround (think thusday i will get them) , as i understand i can control the system also with alexa echo dot wich i have . I will setup the system with my ipad  and probably from time to time when not watching tv I will stream music trought airplay 2 (amazon music  spotfy youtube). My question is  if  my wife when im not at home  can stream music  with her smarthphone  trought the sonos app in her phone or  she cant  (she can still use  the echo dot or the spotfy connect app i guess). Basicly can this system being controlled from Sonos app installed on more than one phone without need to configure the sonos speaker again ?(guess my whife should log in the sonos app with my same account)Thx in advance for the answer and sorry for my really basic english skill (not using  google translator :P)

I’ve ripped most of my old CDs and uploaded the files to a NAS so I can play them through the Music Library on Sonos. It would be great if I could view (not play, just view) my collection on my phone when I’m away from home, for the “do I already own this?” moments in a music store, or the “I have a great piece by [some group], but I can’t remember the name” moments with friends. Has anyone come up with an easy way to view their music library offline? (I know there are third-party apps, but if I don’t have duplicate my effort with 1000+ CDs, I’d rather not!)Thanks for any ideas!

I’m trying to get Atmos audio output (lossy, DD+ as it is routing through a normal ARC port) but have only been able to get Dolby Digital 5.1.  Hoping someone can solve the mystery for me.  Here are the particulars:PS5 with 4K UHD disc (Fury, has Atmos audio track selected) PS5 into HDMI #2 (on X900F, ports 2 and 3 are high bandwidth, 3 is also ARC).  Using HDMI cable that came with the Sonos Arc. HDMI #3 (ARC) to Sonos Arc (2 Sonos Ones also connected as surround sound channels).  Using 4K cable - with the built-in Netflix I can get the app to display “Atmos” with this cable so I don’t think that’s the problem. PS5 audio set to Dolby Disc audio (Options menu ...) set to Bitstream...and still getting just DD 5.1.  No Atmos. Any ideas?  I can find any more settings to mess with.

Hi,My setup is a Sonos Amp with two passive speakers and two Sonos Ones as surround speakers. The amp is connected to a TV via HDMI ARC.I use mainly Kodi for playback but have tested also with VLC to confirm the issues I experience. Kodi is running directly on the TV (Android) and VLC on a Mac.Dolby Digital 5.1 encoded music works perfectly and sounds great, also DTS music transcoded on the fly to Dolby Digital (transcoding supported by Kodi) works great.I understand that Sonos Amp supports DTS since a few weeks now, so I decided to give direct play of DTS tracks a spin. So far I have no luck, both Kodi and VLC produce no sound when playing DTS music to the Amp without transcoding.When I play DTS files with Kodi, the Sonos app does show that I am playing DTS Surround, even if there is no sound.Does anyone have a clue what is the issue here?

I am installing SONOS Application 13.4.1 on a macOS computer running Monterey 12.1.I noticed during installation that SONOS requested permission to the computer’s Security&Privacy/Privacy/Accessibility setting, presumably, in order to control my computer.I would appreciate an explanation as to what specific control or functionality SONOS would like access to in this regard so that I can determine whether to deny / grant it access.Thank you.  

I have a Sonos arc connected to a LG c1 TV . All good. I'm trying to play Amazon Atmos music on my Sonos arc from the amazon music app. When I use the app and cast  Atmos tagged music it reverts back to hd . It's only when using Amazon music through the Sonos app that it appears to be playing Atmos music , but the Sonos app is poor compared to Amazon music as it doesn't tag Atmos music very well.  Why doesn't it play atmos music on the arc through the Amazon app (when in its marked to do so ) I'm using android . What am I doing wrong

Every once in a while I get the error “The connection to Spotify was lost”, and then the song skips, tries to play the next in the playlist, and usually fails that as well.My setup is as follows:I have 3x Symfonisk speakers in an apartment of around 100sqm All three speakers use wifi. None are connected by ethernet cable Every other device in the house works flawlessly on our wifi. I can download at rates of several hundred MB/s anywhere in my home. Our Chromecast never exhibits the least hiccups. I’ve verified that there is no packet loss and very low latency, and no routing problems, no duplicate IP addresses on the network or anything else, and the wifi signal strength is excellent. I even upgraded our wifi router (which was doing a fine job for everything else) to a three-node wifi mesh solely because Sonos seems to use exceptionally poor wifi antennae, or for whatever other reason s

I have had my 2 Play:1s connected to a Playbar for several years with no issues. The system used a Bridge wired directly to my router. I recently removed the bridge and switched to the Sonos2 app (the Bridge is not compatible with the S2 app).Now I have no sound from the Play:1s. There is a Warning in the System Info under the Playbar listing which now states “Your wireless network will not support the use of a Sub or surrounds with your Playbar”. As stated, when using the Bridge and S1 app I did not have this problem.Can anyone please help?

Hello all,i have a question since i have home both sonos gen 1 and  gen 2 and distinct sonos networks.I would like to manage my old sonos gen 1 with an Alexa DOT in a dedicated room and manage all the sonos gen 2 with another alexa DOT in another room.My question is : Is it possible ?When i try to install the sonos plugin for Alexa, I have to chose between sonos network 1 or 2.Thank you for your support

Hi I have an old Play 5 speaker and a Play 3 one too.I’m using the S1 app for the 5 and the S2 app to control the 3 as i understand this is the only way to get both to work due to age.I’ve recently ripped some new cds and added onto my NAS drive (WD MyCloud) i can index them no problem on the S2 app but they do not appear on the S1 app when done so, so cannot be played on the 5. If i try to index on the S1 controller it just says to update itIs there anyway of resolving this ? So i can listen to my new purchases on the older Play 5 speaker ? 2nd questionI’m assuming that my Play 5 machine can only go as far as the S1 controller and doesnt have the capability to be run on the S2 app ?  Thanks in advance Ed
