I have a gen 1 beam connected to a 2015 vizio D50-D1 and Apple Tv 4k gen 1.My question is this ; the TV has 1 Arc port, 2 other standard HDMI ports, and an optical port. When connecting the beam to the arc port or the optical port i get dolby digital 5.1. Is their a benefit to using the arc over the optical in this scenario? With only 3 HDMI ports i am low on spaces for devices (xbox , switch etc). I will keep it on the arc if there is any benefit over optical in this scenario. Hi, my set up is the Panasonic UB820.... Hooked up to a Panasonic GZ950 OLED using an Audioquest Cinamnon 2.0 18gbps cable via the Arc port, NO eARC unfortunately on this 3 yr old TV. No surround speakers.Having the same problem as I've read on other threads whereby iv updated the Beam2 thinking thatl solve many of my 4K films DTS issues but no joy!Spent months building my collection unaware of this BIG ATMOS v DTS audio format rivalry/compatibility until I got the Beam 2 recently to complete my devices set up.PLEASE PLEASE can someone help me to get rid of the awful "Stereo PCM" on my S2 App. I'm at a loss and do not want to buy the Arcana Fury to solve everything!  I think it's my TV or UB820 settings as I had to teak the TV to get the ATMOS audio some of my films are in and WOW what a difference it makes in s small room approx 3 X 3 metres. Many thanks Kam!

I’m streaming music through a Sonos Amp, wired to two JBL floor standing speakers and paired with a Sonos Move.  The Move plays in the same room alongside the standing speakers.  The Move is a nice ‘sound filler’ for the big speakers and can then be moved to another location such as outside, when required. When streaming music the floor speakers and Move are perfectly  synchronised but when my Samsung TV is the source of input (via HDMI ARC, TV to Amp) the floor speakers and Move are slightly non synchronised, creating an ‘echo’ effect, or an exaggerated spatially separated sound.  The Move appears to be fractionally delayed behind the floor speakers. The TV sound quality is poor unless I turn off the Move and take it out of the equation. How to explain and correct the de-synchronised audio when TV is the source?

I have a Sonos set up at home and wanted to add a Sonos 5 speaker to my office (actual office, not “work from home COVID office that is also at my house”).I brought in a Sonos 5 speaker and went through the normal set up process.  The app detects the speaker, allows it to connect to my phone, allows it to connect to the wireless network at my office and says it has been added, but whenever I’m at the office, the “Account”, “System” and “Services and Voice” tabs are all greyed out.  No matter how many times I restart the speaker, this is still the case. I was wondering if it was an issue to have 2 separate systems set up on different wireless networks, so I created a separate Sonos account with a different email address to have that account as my “standalone” office Sonos, but ran into the exact same issue.  Any thoughts?

Been tweaking my system. I grouped my sons speakers and am able to cast from my phone or laptop to all 4 of my speakers if I pick airplay through Spotify with on my phone or through my laptop. If I go to YouTube in my iPhone I can cast to the same group and it works. My issue is I would like to cast from using YouTube.com or music.YouTube.com to my grouping but all that shows up is my tv when I press the casting button . Confused as to why it works on Spotify but not YouTube from my laptop. I did add the YouTube music service in under the sonos app but It’s not syncing up with my playlists

Today I upgraded from Sonos Connect to the new Sonos Port. I only unplugged the cables form Connect and plugged into Port (Audio In = TV, Audio Out = Bose sound system). With the connect it worked perfect, but my Bose plays no sound on the Port. Audio in (Line-in) from TV works because it plays on my Sonos Five. Only audio out does not work. Sonos customer support was not useful at all. Does anybody has an idea what the issue might be?

My CONNECT (Gen 1) had been working fine for many years. About a month ago I moved it to a different part of the house and connected it to a different receiver. It worked fine up until yesterday when the volume, though on maximum on both the receiver and the SONOS S1 app, was very very low.  A little more than a whisper. All other inputs on the receiver are working fine. I even tried to connect my SONOS Connect to different inputs but still the same problem. I am at loss as I have had this unit for 6+ years without a hitch. Volume limit is OFF in the app. The problem happens whether the Line-Out level is Variable, FIxed or Pass-Through. Problem also exists though many services like Spotify, Apple Music, SONOS Radio Any suggestions? 

Now that I have my full music collection (Stored on my Sonology) available to my Roam, I am wondering for music that I have stored locally, but also know is on Amazon in at least HD Quality, what will sound better? Will local mp3 files sound better? and if so what is the minimum bit rate for that)Does the answer chance if my local file is Flac format?  ThanksAllen

Hi There, new Sonos user here. I’m all set up and it’s working fine. I’ve set up the remote as per instructions. But the remote is also turning up the volume through the TV speakers at the same time as it adjusts the Beam, and I’m getting that awful out of synch sound. I thought the HDMI (ARC) would recognise an external device connected and not use the TV speakers. Any suggestions? 

I’ve just switched from Alexa to Google Assistant on my Sonos devices. Previously I could for example “stop bedroom music” spoken to any Sonos device, and it would stop the music currently playing on the device ‘Bedroom’ With GA, it only controls the music on the device I speak to, regardless of me specifically stating Bedroom. Am I missing something?  I assume GA can do this?!

Hello, I’m quite new and don’t know much about speakers and matching impedances and whatnot.Just purchased a Sonos amp, 2 Kefs Ci200qs, and plan to buy a pair of 8ohms outdoor speakers as well.My idea/question is as follow:Can I connect the 4 speakers to 4 speaker wall plate, and, using banana plugs from the wire that comes from the AMP disconnect the pair I do not want to use at the time? I wouldn’t change the wiring on the back of the Amp, that would stay in parallel, but just disconnect from the wall plate when I just want 1 single pair to play? Would that work? When 1 pair disconnected will the impedance go back to 8ohms?Thank you for the help!

I currenly have a Sonos Move and I'm thinking of getting more speakers. My question is, if I buy 2x Sonos One Gen 2, which also have mics and Alexa, which one of them will activate if i use the voice commands? 

How do I get rid of these things? There is no “remove account” like other services. 

HiHow on earth do I manage to get through to someone at sonos to make a formal complaint? I have had a problem  with a new sonos roam for around two months, as every avenue I have tried to explore to tell sonos the speaker is not working I can’t make any progress????I have been a customer of sonos for many years but am appalled by the lack of support. It pains me to have to explain the problem again and again, I have had telephone calls, emails and spoke via web chat explaining the problem but every avenue has come to a dead end. I was even told to send a video of the problem and that still resulted in someone contacting me from sonos with the question what Is wrong with the speaker?!!!. And the Emil that I was responding to now says it is no longer monitored!!! Again I can’t get anywhere! The problem is as simple as this. I have charged it for days (yes with the correct cable and plug) and after that it simply will not turn on. I just want to return the speaker!I am outraged with the

Hi, I live in Hong Kong, and I have an active subscription with NetEase Cloud music 网易云音乐, and Youtube Music. I have tried to set my profile location to China, to eventually add that music service to my account. But then now I could not use Youtube music. I have to pick either Youtube music or NetEase Cloud music. But I use both. Any workaround other than keep switching my profile location? This might be a request to the Sonos Team. Is it possible to allow NetEase Cloud music in Hong Kong? Or the other way around Youtube music in China?  

I had a sonos beam and one sonos one speaker.I added a sonos one to have a home theatre system, followed the instructions to set up surround sound and it all worked.I then did the true play and all worked.now when I am trying to listen to the tv as a home theatre I have no sound from the 2 one speakers and sound only comes through the beam.if I play the radio via Alexa sound comes through all 3 speakers.probably something simple but would appreciate some help.TV is a Panasonic connection via HDMI. 

Hi all, I have the sonos ARC with surround speakers and connected to TV via eARC. Everything works perfectly when I watch a movie directly from the TV (Netflix etc) but when I connect a video via HDMI and VLC to the TV from my MAC, the voices come from the surround speakers ( mysteriously, only from the left back one) and not from arc which only plays the surround sounds. I tried all VLC settings and the only way to get the sound right is to disable the audio surround, which we obviously don't want to. Could anyone please help me here? Many thanks Dimitri 

Hi,the planet radio service now needed to play many commercial radio stations (e.g. Absolute radio) is missing from my list of services. It is meant to be there as the planet radio website says it is what should be used for Sonos.My address country is set to the uk so I am at a loss. Can anyone help please.Thanks.

I have purchased a house with a Sonos system supplied. 3 x Connect:amps ZP120. I successfully transferred 2 of them to my new account, found them on app and grouped them together and hey presto - music. When I added the indentical ZP120 it found it but will not register it. All are connected to ethernet cables. I sent a diagnostic 103616749. Not sure where to go next.

I have connected my Sonos Beam gen 2 to my LG tv via the HDMI eArc input, However even though the broadcasts from Apple TV are carry the Dolby Atmos signal my sound bar is only playing them in stereo. When I unplug the sound bar the TV will play the sound in Dolby Atmos. When I reconnect the sound bar the sound is only in stereo. The tv is an LGOLED55C14LB
